Let's first try a repair install of your Apple Software Update.
In your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select Apple Software Update, click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Does the repair go through okay? If so, try another iTunes update. Does it install properly this time?

You may think you are connected to the internet, but maybe not. Click on Safari and see if it connects.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Hi there, could someone help me here please - I can't open the iTune store after I updated my iphone 4 to iOS 7. The problem occurred about 5 days later after the upgrade. There are no error messages. As I tap on the icon it opens just for a fraction of a moment and then goes off and back to the main screen. Other apps are working just fine. When I try to open the iTunes store on my iPhone i get the error "cannot connect to iTunes store". When I try to download or update apps I get the loading bar on the app icon, but it never downloads. Thanks but it's just my desktop that doesn't see it though. My notebook sees it everytime, even at the same exact time that my desktop doesn't see it. For example yesterday when I was typing up this post, I was typing up the post on my notebook because my desktop didn't see the router. I don't think it has anything to do with the router actually, but I wanted to see if anyone on here has encountered this issue before. Other forums have similar issues but I've tried all of the fixes I found elsewhere and they didn't work.

You can simply sign out and sign in with the different ID. However, if you have any protected media - movies, or songs purchased before they stopped protecting them - you will not be able to play them, so in that case you are rather stuck.
You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs. Use your iCloud ID for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream; use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

I had the same problem. I went into software updates and updated security, and two other updates (can't remember exact updates) then restarted my macbook. My macbook wouldn't start!
I found information about restting the SMC (System Management Controller).
Unplug the power adapter.
Remove the battery.
Hold the power button down for 5 secs.
Reconnect the battery and power adapter.
Press the power button.
My Macbook started up and I opened up itunes and the itunes store opened up with images.
I think the resolution was the software updates, but I'm not 100% sure so I included every step that was made.

You might have two different things going on at once here.
Starting with the registry settings message.
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)
