My application doesn't compile

Hi,
I've got a Flex 2 project that I'm trying to compile. It is a
working project based on Cairngorm, and it compiles and runs
correctly on other developer's machines. However, on mine, when I
save the project, no SWF file is generated, and if I introduce
syntax errors into the code, the compiler ignores them. I have
other Flex projects that work correctly. Does anybody have any
suggestions as to what I can look for?

Also check that your project settings are the same as

I think Timer should be expressed as abstract, but how?
I'm new in Java and feel a little frustrated...

And this suggests that you are using something before 1.2.
Just a thought...
Windows comes with the MS version of java, which matches something like 1.1.6. It is in the path. So does you path put the jdk path first or last?

Identical flex-air applications do not compile

I'm having terrible difficulty with writing Air Applications for compiling with the flex 3.2 SDK.
I have two identical basic flex air applications, but one will not compile, the other will.
When I try to run the application from flex builder the first app runs fine while the second one doesn't.
any ideas?

Hi Randy, This forum really isn't the place to try to get support on app compilation. We try to keep discussion here to development of the SDK itself. I'd suggest looking at the regular Flex forums or flexcoders and posting more details as to the error you're seeing. Modified CRM application doesn't deployed in PROD server.

We have DEV and PROD runtime systems for CRM developing. Our custom CRM application successfully deployed to the DEV server many times. But transport to the PROD server hasn't any effect - our application doesn't exists in PROD server.
In CMS we assemble CRM SCs (SAP-CRMAPP, SAP-CRMDIC, SAP-CRMWEB, SAP-SHRAPP, CUSTCRMPRJ, SAP-SHRWEB), approve it and finally import in in "Production" tab. There was no error during this process.
I don't want post whole SDM log since it' huge, here is a begin:

Hi Lev,
Please ensure that you have mainted the j2ee engine hostname, port number and userid/password details for deployment onto the server.
The same can be checked in CMS --> Landscape configurator -->Runtime systems tab.

SAPUI5 Application doesn't display in Portal Content Area

Hallo Guys
We are developing a SAPUI5 application that needs to be displayed inside the portal.
The problem is that the SAPUI5 app doesn't display in in the content area, no erors, just a blank page, you have to set the iview to open in a seperate headerless window, then it works. But it needs to work in the content area.
Our findings: a possible cause is that the IE mode when inside the Portal content area is IE5 Quirks, and when it displays in a new window, the mode changes to a more recent and acceptable mode for SAPUI5, IE9.
Is there any solution to this? We get the same result with both URL iView and using the SAPUI5 iView in content provided by SAP. We are on NW 7.4

Hi Antonette,
As Lawrence explained the reason is indeed that quirks and standards mode can't run together on the same page (not only in portal but it's a limitation by MS).
Since your framework page is in IE5 quirks mode the UI5 application doesn't run in the content area, you can run it by selecting in the iView properties "Launch in a new headerless window (strandards)", that will open the UI5 application in a new window and will work.
If you wish to run UI5 applications in the content area you can get latest SP of 7.4 and there you will have a new framework page: standards AFP, basically an AFP framework page that works in standards mode.
In that framework page you can run UI5 applications in the content area, however trying to run old applications (HTMLB, not WD) may fail, for WD you have a paramater you need to pass called sap-ie, passing it with the value of "Edge" will make sure WD applications run in standards mode as well.
When running the AFP in standards mode you will need to open your HTMLB and other old applications in a new headerless window or new window so you can see the content.

Running OpenScript Application doesn't load the forms

Hi,
I'm new using OpenScript and I'm facing a problem.
I need to create scripts to test a site that implement some Oracle Forms, I can open IE and use the site without problems, BUT when I run OpenScript to create the script, the application doesn't load the forms!!!
After many attempts I found that someone changed the jvm.dll file of the JInitiator, I changed it again to the installation one, and I was able to see the form and recording the script, but when I play the script doesn't load the form!!!!
If I take a look to the screenshots, I can see the forms I recorded.
Now the change I did on the JInitiator only works from time to time!
Finally when I'm using the site and it doesn't load the forms I see this error on the bottom of the page: "error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Activator"
Anyone have an idea of what is happen and how to fix it?
These are the versions I'm using:
OpenScrip: 9.2.0.0 Production - Build ID: 2.5.0.0370
JInitiator: 1.3.1.29
IE: 7.0.5730.131C

A screen shot from Mission Control might be enlightening. If you can see the application window in Mission Control, what happens if you move it from one desktop to another? Or what happens if you eliminate one of the desktops?

My application doesn't start when I run the domain as windows service

I am using weblogic 10.3.2 and i created a domain called rec_domain and i have AdminServer
also i deployed application called myApplication to the rec_domain
then i created windows service to run the server as a windows service

Can you please specify, What do u mean by Application Doesn't start? Is it Moving to PREPARED State Rather than ACTIVE state? Or the Application Health is not OK? Are you seeing any Warning or Error Message while starting the Server related to Deployment?
As the Production Mode is On...So I just wanted to confirm that By Mistake have u used the AutoDeploy feature to deploy Applications...Because the AutoDeploy Feature Doesn't Work in Production_Mode=true.
After Configuring the Windows Service Have you tried to Deploy the Application Freshly? Was it Successful?

Cisco ISE 1.2 Ise Application doesn´t install

I am trying to install Cisco ISE on a VMWare Paltform, and the installation goes OK for the ADE-OS (The Os is installed, but the ISE application doesn´t install.
Any Hint in how to solve that ?

Thank for your answers, the problem was that the ISO image on the Cisco software repository was corrupted. I finally did a md5 check, and downloaded the image 4 times.
The for images download matched the md5 checksums between themselves, but not the Cisco webpage. Finally a TAC engineer had to publish the image form me, and when downloaded from this link It matched the CCO md5 and it worked fine.

Generated PLSQL doesn't compile

I'm using OWB 10.2.0.1.0 with a client version of 10.2.0.1.31.
In a mapping I'm using a constant with three outputs, first two are numeric and the third is a varchar2. When the plsql is generated it doesn't compile because the constant of type varchar2 isn't enclosed in single quotes.
I'm new to OWB. Is this a documented problem. I can work around by enclosing the varchar2 constant with single quotes but if this is a problem and is fixed then I'll have to change all my constants that are character datatypes.

My lack of knowledge, however on the generation I would have thought it not unreasonable for the UI to not allow literals to be entered without single quotes or in the code generation it would have recognised that this value is a datatype of char and create the quotes for it.

I update an existing application in the Dev environment with the Copy Application Tool and a user got the following.

Since this issue is related to only one user, this means that the USERPARAMS information for this user is corrupted.
The issue could be resolved by deleting all entries related to this user on this table on the HFM DB.
Kindly open the HFM DB and look for the <application name>_userparams table.
and,
Delete the enteries corresponding to the user.Backup this table prior truncating the table.Please get this operation done by an administrator.

Pxi: embedded application doesn't launch at boot up

I selected the "Launch application at boot-up" in the "Network options/RT Target:Miscellaneous" menu before creating my application but it still doesn't launch before I open the application on a local machine (the application in the PXI seems to "wake up" then). I checked that the embedded Labview RT is launching at the PXI boot-up, and that the startup.exe has been updated correctly (I checked it with a ftp client).
Any idea about why the application doesn't launch ?

- first make sure your app dosn't wait for any kind of input.
- there are some hardware - switches to avoid the execution of startup.exe. see the documentation of your PXI-system (for PXI-8186 see page 2-12)

IPE doesn't compile

I just stumbled upon IPE and would like to try it. It's available in AUR (this is why I love AUR :-), but sadly it doesn't compile fully. It finishes with:

ISync application doesn't open at all

Suddently my iSync application doesn't open at all. I can't get the program to start.
I've tried to restart my computer, and I've checked that it is iSync v3.0 I have.
Does anyone know what the problem can be?

I got mine fixed using this guy's thread and his footwork. Follow in his steps and maybe your problem (which sounds like mine) can be resolved. It worked for me. My iSync now runs like it is supposed to (it was totally defunct like yours). Let me know if you need any other help, or questions answered. I'll do my best to get you working again. Good luck.
