My calendar disappeared on all devices

I have multiple calendars that our family shares, today I went to add an appointment to my daughters calendar and it was gone.  I know it was there the other day, but it is missing from all of our devices and it's not on the icloud.  Can anyone tell me where it might have gone and how I can get it back?

Josy,
Go to iCloud.com, sign in, and open the Calendar App...if there are no events there and you have no backups, I'm afraid there is nothing that can be done to restore your events.

  • HT204291 Airplay icon has disappeared from all devices!!

Airplay icon is not appearing on the control screen when I swipe up on ANY of our devices- iPhone 5, iPhone 5S and iPad 2. All are up to date with iOS 7.1 and have been rebooted. Apple TV and devices are all connected to same network and airplay is turned on. Apple TV has been restarted as well as the router and modem. Apple TV plays netflix without any problem so I would assume that the internet is working just fine with the Apple TV.   We use airplay frequently, so it is not a matter of not knowing how to use it!!

Airplay is over the local network, and that is likely where the issue lies. You say the IOS devices are up to date, have you ensured router is as well?
Have you checked the troubleshooting tips?

  • A whole familiy of files disappeared from all devices

I'm a photographer and use a good system of backup.
Retina MacBook Pro backed up to an external hard drive manually.
This external hard drive is backed up to another external hard drive via Carbon Copy Cloner.
    Now this happened:
I have an important image, from which I had eight versions, all layered files, and five versions as flattened files, I had JPEGs of different sizes.
A total of about 20 files in different folders, formats.
Now they are all gone. I don't have a single copy of that image any more (except one in a different folder).
I checked my backup - the files are not there.
I checked the Carbon Copy Cloner backup - the files are all gone.
I checked the archive folder where Carbon Copy cloner puts deleted items. It's not there, either. This is mysterious. Should I have accidentally deleted all those files (which I deem impossible), at least one copy should be in the Carbon Copy Cloner archives.
It's as if the files are suddenly invisible, because should they have gotten deleted by accident, and the backup would also delete them, then Carbon Copy Cloner would save those deleted files into the archive folder.
I checked. All deleted files are there, except this one image, including all variations.
    Could they be hidden?
    What could have happened?

The issue has been resolved. Pilot error. I couldn't find a way to delete this discussion. Thanks!

  • Purchased tv shows disappeared from all devices

I have 3 TV shows which I have purchased entire seasons of and I have been watching on iPad and Apple TV. Now the devices say there are no TV shows purchased. When I go to purchase again iTunes has the series as purchased but none of the series are showing on my Apple devices.
How do I get the shows back??

Thanks again for reponding. I logged out and logged back in - and received the message that my ID was only valid for purchases from the Canadian Store and I would be switched to that. So my theory is that somehow my itunes switched itself to a version for another country, and that's the reason my purchases did not show. Not sure how that would have happened. I am currently abroad - in India - but I don't think iTunes auto-detects your location and changes accordingly. At least, I've been out of Canada for some time and never had that happen before.
Anyway, thanks again very much for your help!

  • Calendar missing from "all" navigation bar

Probably after an incidental pushing of keys, yesterday my 9360 decided to  make "calendar" disappear from "all" navigation bar. Calendar icon and application is still reachable on "favourites" and "frequent". Already tried a hard reset taking away the battery. Any idea?

What's the URL of your site so we can view the problem first hand?

I've done everything I know in order to get my calendar in iCloud synchronized with my macBook, my IPad and my iPhone, but get no success. I've checked if all devices are set to the same account. Can you help me?

The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.

  • We have 3 iPads 3 iPhones 3 Apple id's.  We want to use 1 calendar we can all access on each device and have each device update or sync and we all receive notifications from the one calendar. We do not want to share photos contacts, ect.  Please help

We have 3 Apple Id's, each ID using an iPad and an iPhone (3 id's, 3 iPads, 3 iPhones). We want to use one calendar on all 6 devices and have that one calendar update or sync to all devices.  We would like all 6 devices to provide notifcations from the one unique calendar as well.  We do not want to share contacts, photos, ect.  Please suggest how to achieve this, with the name of the calendar, if I am to get one from the App store, and how to set this up.  Please talk in easy terms as I am technically Challenged. Thank you.  3 iPad air 2, 2 iPhone 6 plus, 1 iPhone 4s.

    Hello there MizzouTrojan,
If I understand correctly you want all 6 devices to have access to a single calendar that each device gets notifications for and can edit. You can do that with an private iCloud shared calendar. First sign into www.icloud.com and use these steps from the following article to share a calendar:
iCloud: Share a calendar with others
    Share a calendar privately
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar name in the sidebar, then select Private Calendar.
Note:    You can also share the same calendar publicly. For instructions, see the next task, “Share a calendar publicly.”
Type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field and press Return.
Click the pop-up menu with the invitee’s name and choose access privileges (View & Edit or View Only).
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’ve invited everyone and set their privileges, click OK.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

My icloud email messages disappear on all my devices after about a week and I cannot locate them - not in archive on icloud.
I use several devices to receive emails - imac, ipad, iphone and samsung galaxy note. I put all read emails to trash on samsung, ipad and iphone but keep on imac and wish to retain there for reference. All other accounts remain but icloud emails disappear. No devices say to delete from server. Can anyone please help?

If this is your iCloud email account, whcn you delete an email from any of your devices, they are moved to the trash on all devices/computers, then the trash is automatically deleted after 30 days.  That's how IMAP accounts work.  You can't delete them from your device and keep it on the server because you are reading and deleting from the server itself.
If you want to keep them on your Mac, you'll need to move them to a folder rather than deleting them.  When you do, they will be moved to the same folder on your other devices.

  • Problem syncing Calendar on ALL devices

While my calendar and (any updates) is syncing on my iPad and Macbook Air, it's not syncing on my iPhone.  I turned it off and back on later but now there's NOTHING appearing on the calendar on my iPhone.  HELP!

    Please try the following...
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • All of my safari bookmarks have disappeared from all of my apple devices and I did not delete or move them

My safari bookmarks have disappeared from all of my apple devices and I have not deleted or moved them. Any ideas on how I can recover them?

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    ~/Library/Safari
    Quit Safari.
    Select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the Finder menu bar. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window should open. Restore the file named "Bookmarks.plist" in that folder from a backup that predates the unwanted changes.

I have Lion on my laptop and I want to back up my calendar TO my iphone. Not the reverse. iCloud only goes from iphone to iCloud to mac not the other way. Also, why doesn't "sync" mean update most recent changes across all devices? I thought that was the point of iCloud. Any suggestions since iCloud doesn't seem to work?

It's a work computer so I wanted to save them to my iTunes so I can access from another computer.  Should I go to a home computer and just Import for best results?  If so how do I do this?  Also, why would I be synched with another library and how do I find out what this is?  Very new/green user here

Problem - I input a new event into my iPhone calendar and it does not update on my iMac or iPad calendars. I have loaded the latest software on all devices and have switched over to iCloud. Suggestions?

On the iMac open System Prerferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Calendars then reselect then restart the iMac.
On the iPad, tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Calendars off then back on then reset the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Hopefully the event synced over all the devices.
