My Cloud Ex2 - Fehlerhafte Datenübertragung

Hallo, ich habe auf meiner MyCloudEx2 u.a Video und Musikdateien.Viele dieser Datein werden durch die Übertragung übers Internet scheinbar beschädigt.Filme laufen nur 5 Minuten, Musik lässt sich nicht abspielen, zip Datein lassen sich nicht entpacken. Hat jemand einen Tip für mich, wie man dieses Problem in den Griff bekommt? Danke für die Hilfe

Danke für die Antwort. Die Dateien auf der Cloud sind nicht beschädigt.Erst wenn ich sie via WD My Cloud auf einen anderen Rechner kopiere KANN es vorkommen, daß einige Datein defekt sind. Ich habe früher mit BitTorrent Sync meine Dateien übertragen. Da hatte ich dieses Problem nie. Die Prüfsumme werde ich ermitteln, sobald ein neuer Fall eintritt.Was mache ich, wenn die Prüfsumme unterschiedlich ist? Gruß Helix

  • Can i use WD My Book hard disk in WD My cloud EX2?

    I am planning to purchase "WD My Cloud EX2 Diskless Personal Cloud Storage - NAS (WDBVKW0000NCH-NESN)" but without the pre-installed hard disk.My question is: i have "WD My Book 3TB External Hard Drive Storage USB 3.0 File Backup and Storage (WDBACW0030HBK-SESN)" already, can i take the hard drive from my WD My Book and put it in the WD My Cloud EX2? also, will i be able to access my existing data like this? or do i need to do something else?

    Hola:Apareció un mensaje en Windows de que la unidad de red correspondiente al My Cloud EX2 no era accesible, se había desconectado. Esperé pero no volvió a recuperarse, no se puede acceder al disco ni al panel de control. Al volver a arrancarlo el LED frontal pasa de azul a naranja y se queda parpadeando, los LEDs de los discos están en azul. En el manual dice que se revisen las conexiones, así lo hice. De hecho probé de todo: reiniciar el ordenador, dejar el disco desconectado de la corriente un rato, tratar de acceder desde otro equipo, resetear el EX2, cambiar el cable de red por otro... Nada, sigue igual. ¿Alguna idea? Gracias. Un saludo

    Hola: Gracias por responder. Lo que me sugieres ya lo había probado, de todos modos he vuelto a repetirlo por aquello de que, bueno, nunca se sabe. Incluso cambiando el cable de red a otra boca del router. Pero nada, de hecho ya no obedece al reset de la parte trasera (y te aseguro que estaba bien presionado). He abierto un caso de soporte por si pueden darme otra solución. Muchas gracias. Un saludo

  • Question about transfer speed of my cloud ex2 product. request advice please

    Hi guys, I use Raid 1 on my cloud ex2. I have something weird going on. When i received mine My Cloud ex2 with dual wd red of 6tb disks i just unpack all the gear and just do the installation as provided. I used also the data cable that was inluced in the box and i connect it to mine Airport Extreme router from apple.  Also mine computer is windows and is also connected on the Airport extreme and if i do a speedtest of mine connection via this website www.speedtest.net. below you see a picture of it.  The problem i have with mine My cloud device is i wanted to copy mine files from a wd 4tb external disk wich is connected on my pc via USB 3 connection from there i copy them to mine Wd my cloud ex2 drive via network and i try to move arround 50gigs in total and he write them in aprox 10MB/s thats ridicilous slow speed. How i can solve this issue /? is there any way to do it faster because i also wanted my movies on the nas but if i see that 50 gigs takes me aprox 2 hours to get the job done ya mine USB 3 external disk do this operation much quicker.... pfff  I checked also mine network and i have 1Gb speed and the network light at the back of the mycloud ex2 is GREEN blinking because of the copy proces.... Anyone can give me explanation about this matter  Thanks in advanceSteve

    I beg to differ.....my EX2 was showing 10-11MBps (thats megabytes) until I learned a thing or two about home network infrastructure... What did I learn? 1. I had an old router that did not support gigabit (problem!)2. I had old network cable that was homemade (possibly a problem)3. I had outlandish expectations of my hardware despite #1 and #2 (biggest problem)4. At no point did I doubt the EX2. I was smart enough to know the capabilities of most hardware just didn't know enough about networking hardware. (first step to solution is admitting there's a problem) What did I do? Well I thought about how important it was for me to be able to move data between my PC and the EX2 as fast as possible so i scoured the Internet for answers. I then decided my newer technology devices (iphones, Ipads,Wifi TVs, etc) coud benefit as well from upgraded hardware. So I purchased a gigabit compatible router (it was hard to part with the cash for a stupid box with blinky lights) and a new cat5e cable. BOOM! 60-70 MBps from my PC to and from the EX2. Now, I would like to see even higher speeds being that my SSD can handle nearly a GB per second and being that a gigabit connection (in theory)) is equivelent to 125MB (and i'm aware of some overhead needs) i was hoping for maybe 90-100MB per second. This is acheiveable perhaps with utilizing a gigabit switch instead of the router and guaranteeing no other writing to the source and destination drives but I've got bigger problems.... The wifi to my Laptop is bottlenecking my  speeds to the NAS at around 11MBps which I think can be fixed with a new wifi card that is capable of AC speeds. No blame to the EX2 on this...either way despite my less than desirable speeds in the beginning, I never had an issue streaming from the EX2 just backing up data was time consuming. If you value your time and want the speeds that the rest of the world is getting... I suggest the following: 1. Make sure you got a Gigabit router2. Make sure your PC has a gigabit NIC card3. Make sure you've got good Cat5e (at minimum) cables. Got all the above satisfied? You should be flying and happier than a blue haired old lady with a bucket of quarters at a Vegas slot machine. To be clear... I am a cheapskate and don't have the most robust machinery but I did learn WHERE to spend my money to get the best bang for the buck. I recently went on a purchase binge but with a well thought out strategic plan... PC = HP500-314 >>16gb Ram >>250gb Samsung 850 SSD >>AMD A8-7600 CPU (total investment $599)Laptop = Lenovo G50-45 >> 16gb RAM >> 500 gb Samsung 850 SSD >> AMD A8-6140 (total investment  $549)Router = Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (R7000) gigabit router The money I saved on not buying a top of the line Intel I7  PC for roughly $1,200-$1,400 allowed me to build two pretty decent machines (with fast hard drives and more RAM than I can use) and a $200 router (now available for $160) for nearly the same price as one awesome machine that wont reach its potential with what I use them for. All that said I would then have no more moeny for hardware and would be running through my 6 year old crappy router. Moral of the story, don't blame the EX2 until you've had a darn good look at the rest of your hardware and network infrastructure. I believe most of the complaints are stemmed from my same early mistakes. You need to understand gigabit, megabit, and megabyte before you make any claims. Hope this helps someone!     Hi zusammen, habe gerade meine brandneue My Cloud EX2 ausgepackt per Ethernet an de Router angeschlossen und wollte das Setup installieren. Leider bricht das Setup bereits beeim verbinden ab und es kommt folgende Fehlermeldung. Anscheinend gibt es ein ProblemSie können mit dem setup fortfahren, eventuell geht es aber nicht:das Gerät zu konfigurierenGreifen Sie von fern auf dieses Gerät zu Leider kann ich das setup nicht fortfahren, sehe diesen Punkt zumindest nicht. Habe die Mycloud nochmals vom Strom genommen und das Setup neu gestartet, bricht immer am gleichen Punkt ab.Während des Ladens kann ich bereits auf die Festplatte zugreifen, allerdings verschwindet sie wieder sobald die Fehlermeldung kommt. Habe den Laptop über Wlan im gleichen Netzwerk und habe ihn auch schon direkt angeschlossen, dies macht keinen Unterschied. Habt Ihr irgendwelche Ideen wie ich hier weiterkomme? Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe, Max

  • WD my cloud ex2 - hat sich offenbar aufgehängt?!

    Hallo zusammen, ich habe seit etwa 2 Wochen meine My Cloud EX2. Nun ist es schon 2 mal passiert, dass sie sich offenbar aufgehängt hat. Ich hatte keine Zugriff mehr von außen und ebenso nicht aus dem eigenen Netzwerk, bzw. sie wurde gar nicht erst gefunden. Außerdem ist sie, wie im Energieplan eingestellt, nicht heruntergefahren. Nur das Entfernen des Netzteils hat das Problem lösen können. Warnungen oder sonstiges wurden von der My Cloud EX2 auch nicht ausgegeben im Dashboard. Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen? Beste Grüße

    hard reset. Unplug power cable and network cable, hold the reset button from the back of the device and while still holding, plug the power cable. Keep holding the reset button for about 40secons. Save all your setting from the dashboad with the config file

  • Question regarding the FAN used by WD My Cloud EX2

    Hi, I have a WD My Cloud EX2 product. Using the diagnositic tool in the dashboard I noticed the Disks temperature is 57 C° and the FAN "RPM is to 0"!!!! The temperature The entire case is hot. I attached an image in ITALIAN language that show the situation. The temperature is NORMAL but in my opinion there is something strange. Must the NAS reach a particular temperature to start the FAN? Regards, Angelo

    I had the exact same problem.  My unit would give me a warning about "overheating" but my fan speed was always reported as zero.  I was not able to see the fan spinning during normal operations, but this does not mean it was not spinning when I was not looking.  So I ran the built-in diagnostic routine, no problems were reported and I could see the fan moving during the diagnostic routine.  In normal operations when I would get the overheating message, the fan speed was always reported as zero RPM. It seems to me that the diagnostic routine correctly makes the fan spin so no fan problem is then reported, which gives a person a false sense of no fan problem. Two weeks ago I returned my unit for a refund because of the overheating (zero fan RPM) problem and I also had an ongoing problem with the built-in Amazon S3.  I would like to purchase another EX2 because I think the EX2 is a great value, but at this point I'm concerned about the overheating problem and I see other people are having the exact same problem. Certainly it could be a hardware issue, but I wonder if its a software (firmware) issue.  I have no evidence or information to say either way, but in my situation since the diagnostic routine correctly made the fan spin, it makes me think the issue is more software/firmware.

    Hi alle,  ich habe gerade das erste mal eine MYCloudEX2 in Betrieb genommen. Ich will die NAS nutzen, um Dateien zwischen meinem Handy, privaten Laptop und Arbeitsplatzrechner zu teilen.Außerdem soll ein Freund Zugriff auf einen Ordner bekommen. Meinen Freund habe ich ein Benutzerkonto verpasst und ihm die Software MyCloud für PC installieren lassen.Durch Aktivierung per Code funktioniert der Zugriff auch ganz gut.Ich frage mich nur, ob der Zugriff und eine eventuelle Dateiübertragung über diese Software auch verschlüsselt ist.Könnt ihr mir das Beantworten? Bei meinem Arbeitsplatzrechner (befindet sich außerhalb des NAS Netzwerks)  möchte ich die EX2 gerne so einrichten, daß sie als normales Laufwerk erscheint.Wie mache ich das am elegantesten auch in Hinblick mit einer möglichst sicheren Verbindung. Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe. Gruß Helix

  • Erste Datenübertragung. Nur WLAN?

    Ich habe mir eine WD My Cloud Mirrow 2 TB gekauft und möchte nun rund 800 GB Daten von meiner Computerfestplatte - Fotos, Filme und Musik - auf diesen NAS packen. Dazu ist das Ding ja wohl auch da, die gesamten Daten zu sichern und vorrätig zu halten. Frage: Kann ich wirklich nur über WLAN die ganzen Daten auf den WD-NAS laden? Das ist doch völlig absurd! Das dauert doch Wochen?! Das kann doch nicht im Sinne des Erfinders sein - jedenfalls nicht im Sinne des Kunden.
    Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, das zu beschleunigen? Oder gibt es Erfahrungen, wie lange sowas bei einem schwachen Internetanschluss und schwachen Router ungefähr dauert?
    Würde mich sehr über eine Antwort freuen, weil ich überlege, das Gerät zurückzugeben, wenn ich meine Daten nicht unkompliziert darauf laden kann. Ein NAS ohne meine Daten brauche ich nicht.. Und mich eine Woche lang damit beschäftigen kann ich jetzt auch nicht.

    Jetzt muss ich mich doch mal melden. So viel dummes Zeugs habe ich lange nicht mehr lesen dürfen. Das geht nicht gegen Dich, Ivo. Du weisst es eben nicht besser. Ich meine eher ein Forenmitglied, das neben gefährlichem Halbwissen gern Hinweise auf das Benutzerhandbuch von sich gibt.Aber nun zum Thema. Wenn Du Dein MyCloud-Gerät und deinen PC/Laptop an die Ethernetports des im Router integrierten Switches steckst, werden die Daten direkt vom PC/Laptop an den NAS gesendet. Da wird kein einziges Datenpaket über das Internet gesendet. Vorraussetzung dafür ist jedoch, das sowohl NAS wie auch PC/Laptop im gleichen Netzwerksegment stehen - davon gehe ich erst einmal aus. Auch wenn das Kopieren über eine WLAN-Verbindung geschieht, gilt das Gleiche: Wenn die Geräte im gleichen Segment stehen (also das gängigste Segment für den Heimgebrauch ist 192.168.1.0) wird nichts, aber auch nicht ein einziges Bit, über den Router ins Internet geschickt!  Also: einfach beide Geräte an den Switch stecken und kopieren. Die maximale Geschwindigkeit ergibt sich selbstredend aus der maximalen Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit des schwächsten Gerätes. Es nutzen Dir keine schnellen Endgeräte (GBit), wenn der Switch nur, beispielsweise, FastEthernet unterstützt.Und wenn Du mal viel Zeit hast, befasse Dich mal mit den Wirkungsweisen von Switch und Router. Zu wissen, wie derartige Geräte arbeiten, lässt so mache Frage garnicht erst aufkommen.

    Servus zusammen - folgende total nervende Probleme habe ich derzeit mit meinem Iphone 5S:
    1.) Ich kann nahezu keine SMS mehr versenden; ständig erhalte ich die Fehlermeldung "nicht versendet" unter die SMS. Hierbei ist es egal ob es eine reine Text-SMS oder ein Bild ist. Abhilfe bringt (FALLWEISE !), wenn ich das Gerät auf "Flugmodus" umstelle und dann wieder zurück in den normalen Betriebsmodus.
    2.) Die WLAN-Verbindung ist miserabel und extrem instabil. Selbst bei mir zuhause, wo ich ein flächendeckendes WLAN bis in den letzten Winkel habe, verliert er die Verbindung. Abhilfe bringt auch hier (FALLWEISE !), wenn ich das Gerät auf "Flugmodus" umstelle und wieder zurück oder gleich komplett neu starte. Die Router im Haus habe ich bereits alle neu gestartet; die anderen WLAN-Geräte (u.a. auch ein IPad mit IOS 7.1) laufen problemlos.
    Auch mit Hotspots (z.B. die der dt. Telekom) kann ich mich plötzlich nicht mehr mit verbinden. Es wird immer eine Fehlermeldung "Hotspot nicht verfügbar" angezeigt.
    3.) Das mobile Datennetz, welches in der mir bekannten, alltäglichen Umgebung mindestens 3G, manchmal auch 4G ist, steht plötzlich auch nur noch mit "E" zur Verfügung.
    Ich könnte brüllen; das ist NICHT die Qualität, die ich von Apple nun in den letzten Jahren gewöhnt war und die ich auch für den Preis UND DAS SELBSTVERSTÄNDNIS von Apple erwarte.
    Wer hat die gleichen Probleme - vlcht "wacht Apple auf" und bringt ein (weiteres...) Update, in dem dieses Mal dann aber hoffentlich alles passt...

  • Datenübertragung auf  neues Notebook

    Ich habe mir ein neues Notebook gekauft und konnte nur die gekauften iTunes übertragen. Die eingespielten CDs wurden nicht übertragen. Wer kann mir sagen, wie das funktioniert? Danke und viele Grüße, Ziva-hh

  • Externe Verbindung friert ein (ex2)

    Guten Tag, seit nunmehr einer Woche besitze ich eine WD My Cloud EX2 4TB und fand diese zunächst recht leicht zu handhaben (Regestriert, Benutzer angelegt, Ordner erstellt, Freigaben verteilt, etc).Das einzige was nicht so recht funktionieren will, ist der Zugriff auf die Cloud/das NAS von ausserhalb des Heimnetzwerks.Mein Internetprovider ist Unitymedia (50 Mbit down 2,5 Mbit up), ich habe den TC7200 als Modem/Router, DS Lite und auf dem NAS ipv6 auf automatisch gestellt. Die Portweiterleitung scheint nicht zu funktionieren (ich vermute weil es seitens Unitymedia nicht freigegeben wurde (Ich kann die Ports zwar eintragen im Router, aber sie bleiben geschlossen).Nun zum Problem: Wenn ich ausserhalb des Heimnetzwerks auf mein NAS zugreifen möchte, komme ich (sowie alle erstellten Benutzer), mit Hilfe der WD My Cloud Apps, zunächst auf das NAS, jedoch nur für ca 1, 2 Minuten / 5, 6 Klicks. Danach zeigt er an den Ordner nur noch das Ladesymbol an. Desweiteren ist es nicht möglich etwas herunter zu laden, da der Download nicht startet. Es wird mir keine Fehlermeldung ausgegeben und auch nach etwas mehr als 2 Stunden warten, wurden die Ordner nicht aktualisiert.Nach einer Woche des Testens und ausprobieren komme ich nun nicht mehr weiter und erhoffe mir Hilfe in diesem Forum. Mfg,HachiRoku

    VIel Danke für den Artikel und für das anlesen  Ich war heute in einem Unitymedia-Shop und habe dort mein Problem geschildert (der arme Verkäufer hatte leider keine Ahnung bezüglich IPv4 und IPv6 und war zunächst davon überzeugt, dass die Portweiterleitung funktionieren müsste). Nachdem der Mitarbeiter am Computer die Daten zum TC7200 raussuchte sagte er mir, dass ich wohl auf einen anderen Modem/Router umsteigen müsste für die Portweiterleitung (AVM Fritzbox 6490), was aber 5€ (genauer 4,99€) im Monat mehr kosten würde. Nachdem ich nun den neuen Router/Modem in meine Internetrecherche mit einbezog, komme ich zu dem Ergebnis, dass IPv4 nur bis zum "Verteiler" von UM kommt und nicht weiter (das Paket kann nicht meinem Anschluss/ meinem Gerät im Netzwerk zugeordnet werden), egal ob Ports freigegeben werden oder nicht, da die Ports ja erst an meinem Router/Modem geöffnet sein könnten (was bei dem TC7200 nicht geht, bei der Fritzbox schon).Bleibt der Zugriff über ipv6. Bei IPv6 gibt es keine Portweiterleitungen mehr, da die Geräte eine eigene Adresse bekommen. Da die Testpersonen ebenfalls bei Unitymedia sind und somit ebenfalls über/mit DS Lite unterwegs sind konzentriere ich mich nun erstmal auf die IPv6 Einstellungsmöglichkeiten. Der mobile Zugriff über das Handynetz würde damit allerdings nicht funktionieren, da diese nur IPv4 nutzen und ich (evtl noch) keinen Portmapper oä. nutzen werde.Sollten sich Fehler in diesem "Ergebnis" eingeschlichen haben, oder ich etwas falsch verstanden haben, so bitte ich um Korrektur. Ebenso wie ich mögliche Lösungsvorschläge bezüglich des "Einfrierens" willkommen heisse.

    mir gelingt es derzeit nicht meine aktuellen Filmprojekte, die zur Bearbeitung auf einem Raidsystem lagern mittels Projektmanager auf eine externe Archivplatte zu kopieren.
    Ich erhalte permanent, nachdem die Datenübertragung schon 2/3 gelaufen ist eine Fehlermeldung. " Schwerwiegender Fehler - Projekt bitte speichern und erneut versuchen"
    Bis vor kurzem lief dieser Befehl aber fehlerfrei. Wie kann ich nun meine Projekte sicher archivieren und mein Radialstem wieder freimachen?
    Warum funktioniert das denn nicht, selbst von Projekten die am MacBook unterwegs erstellt wurden, also andere Hardware, geht es auch nicht.
    Mir scheint dass sich mit dem letzten Update hier ein Bug eingeschlichen hat.
    Oder gibt es eine andere Erklärung??

    Premiere Pro CC 2014 (Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014)では、FLV及びF4Vでの書き出しはサポートされなくなりました。

    FLV及びF4Vでの書き出しは、Premiere Pro CC( Adobe Media Encoder CC)の7.2.2までとなります。
    Premiere Pro CC　7.0 は以下の方法でインストールでき、利用可能です。

    ※Premiere Pro CC 2014のプロジェクトファイルは、下位バージョンのPremiere Pro CC 7.xで直接開くことはできません。（下位互換がございません）
    FLVやF4Vで書き出したい場合は、お手数ですが、いったんファイル書き出しし、再度Premiere Pro CC 7.x (Adobe Media Encoder CC 7.x) やCS6にファイル読み込みし、FLVやF4V書き出しを行います。
