My Code Gets Stuck in One Loop

Hey LabVIEWer's,
Sometimes when I try to run code with mulitple loops the code execution gets stuck in just one of the loops leaving the other loops to run once initially but then fail to run again unless I stop the code and restart. Has anyone had any experience with this? Does anyone have any advice?

Unfortunately, you don't really show the rest of the code, and it's kind of impossible to debug a picture. What are the termination conditions on the other loop. Is the other loop actually stopping, or is it waiting for something? Did you turn on highlighting to see whether you're stuck inside a subVI? You may have subVI dependencies so that the one loop is calling a subVI that eventually uses a subVI that is called by one of the VIs in the other loop. If you get stuck inside this subVI then the other loop as to wait, unless that subVI is reentrant.

I get caught in a loop when trying to log into my account in iTunes and redeeming cards. When i enter my password i get stuck in a loop where i kept getting asked for it over and over again. The weird thing is intermittently - maybe after 20 or 30 times it lets me redeem/in. But then it has the same problem again... I tried chat and it kept dropping out. Any help would be very welcome.

Export and Edit in PS gets stuck on one image

Each time I start Lightroom I can export an image to a file from either the library or develop modules fine but if I then select a second image and export it to the same folder it exports the first image again after giving me the error message that the file already exists. I have now found that this exact problem is happening when I use the Edit in Photoshop tool. It gets stuck on the first image even though I have selected a different one.
This problem has only just occurred and I cannot understand why. Has anyone an idea of what may be wrong?

My guess, also: That selection is actually of two photos, not just the one you highlighted. LR uses the concept of Selected and More Selected, and I haven't figured out all the permutations.

Code gets stuck at daqmxbasecreatetask

Hi there,
I'm running the NI-DAQmx base on Mac os X with labview 7.1. I'm trying to use the dio C code examples that came with it, in particular writedigport.c (attached)
The thing is, when running the executable I get no signal, instead the program just get stuck. With some prodding I found that the it hangs at the call to DAQmxBaseCreateTask
The line is: DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseCreateTask ("", &taskHandle));
I'm not sure what to do about this and would appreciate it if anyone could help me resolve this issue. All the example vi code runs fine in labview, so ii'm pretty sure the ports are set up right. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm calling the right port (Dev1/port0) so I don't think that's the problem.

Firefox gets stuck in a loop with untrusted connections.

When I try to go to certain sites, like to check my bank account or credit card accounts, Firefox says the connection is untrusted. I tried adding the certificates, but Firefox gets stuck in a never-ending loop of adding the certificates and telling me the sites are untrusted. Other sites only require adding the certificates once, then they work fine. What can I do to be able to log into my accounts on Firefox? I have a Mac with Snow Leopard.

You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an ''Open with'' download window.
Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.
You can delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/mimeTypes.rdf mimeTypes.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to reset all actions or set that action in Tools > Options > Applications to 'Always Ask'.

New Retina Macbook Pro running mavericks gets stuck at one minute during setup when coping files via USB

Running setup on a late 2013 Retina Macbook Pro for the first time process gets stuck saying "Less then a minute remaining". Transfer is via USB from a clone of my drive on an external drive that is bootable from my 2007 Macbook Pro running 10.68. Have run disk utility on drive and fixed premissions in advance of running set up. Have had the same happen when I activate the new Retina Macbook Pro without running setup and then running Migration ***'nt later.

I keep geting asked to update FireFox and when I do it gets stuck in a loop "waiting for the update server", am I doing something wrong?

I'm running FireFox 4.0 and get asked to update. When I go thru the steps I get to a Software Update window that says Downloading Firefox and has a status bar. Under the bar it first says "Waitng for the update server" then it goes to "Connecting to the update server" but goes on forever and never gets anywhere.

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.

If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

When loading a game in facebbok my browser gets stuck in a loop - Status bar says "transferring data" then "reading" then "waiting for app" the advert bar flashes up, then the screen clears and it all starts again.

The game is "secret plant society" which is a flash based application. I have tried the game in another browser where it is working fine.

if we sign in with free ID the loop unlucks and then you can either transfer your purchases using iTunes or restore to the best back up and once done the problem is solved for ever; though I deleted some contents such as iTunesU and some rarely used apps.

Auto suspend2disk gets stuck in a loop

ok so i am using uswsusp to s2disk using hibernate-script as told in the wiki.
now i can suspend automatically when i close the laptop lid and it works great, but when i load the image, it tries to immediately suspend again after returning to the userspace. it gets really slow for about 30 seconds, flashes black then begins to suspend, obviously i don not want to deal with this, so how do i make it s2disk then load quickly/efficiently and without it trying to suspend again?

I cannot update the latest version of iTunes. I seem to get stuck in a loop of pages

Someone please help! Cannot update to 11.1 or higher so cannot sync music off my laptop. Tells me I have to update. I email myself the link and it is just a link back to the help page. Cannot find (on my iPad iTunes page) a help button. What on earth am I doing wrong??

All of a sudden I can't log into my yahoo mail. It is like firefox gets stuck in a loop. I can access mail from IE. I can also get into all other areas of my yahoo account

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
You can try to switch on Private Browsing ot see if that works with a new set of cookies.

Why didnt the java compiler report the ;? or the
missing =?Because they're both syntactically valid.
You might want to code a loop with no body:
while ((ch = readChar()) != 0);
(same as)
while ((ch = readChar()) != 0)
// do nothing
And you might want to assign a boolean variable and compare it at the same time:
while (flag = callSomeMethod())
(as opposed to)
while ((flag = callSomeMethod()) == true)
Although in both cases I'd write them differently rather than making a statement which has 'side-effects' and makes for slightly less-readable code.

Imovie stuck in a loop

Lately when i open imovie 09 it gets stuck in a loop and i can't even quite the program with out doing a force quit. It begins by searching for new versions in my aperture library. Then I get a message that says a particular movie cannot be found. I can search for it, find it then it moves on to the next movie it cannot find! I cannot get out of this loop.
Anyone know what is going on and how i can stop it? I don't really want imovie scanning aperture for new video every time I open it. Can I change this in preferences some where? Becuase of the glitch I am having with it I cannot get into preferences right now.

I'm having the same problem. I too have Aperture, and if I remember correctly, I deleted the trash before I exited the program the last time I used it. I have thousands of movies clips, and it looks like it asking for every one of them! The clips are still in the same location.
How do I get out of this loop?!

I've just downloaded the App World. But I cant download apps - I just get stuck in a loop trying to accept the terms. Can anyone offer guidance?

When Syncing top of screen freezes and gets caught in a loop

I have a PowerBook G4. I just installed the new Leopard. Ran all the available updates and so far there are a few bugs that I can't fix. I need some help please.
1. When syncing to mobileMe, the computer gets caught in a loop and the round arrows at the top right of the screen never stops spinning. Also, when you bring the pointer to the top of the page, it seems frozen and the wheel starts. The time has also frozen.
2. When syncing to iTunes with my iPhone, it also gets stuck in a loop.
I'm assuming that there is something going on with MobileMe or with syncing. I can't find anything on this. Can anyone shed some light.

Would like to add one more thing. When I try to repair permissions it also goes in a loop and never repairs anything. I'm stumped on this.
