My daughter grabbed my iphone 4 while i was asleep and it is password protected, she kept pressing buttons and it said i couldnt use it for 60 minutes, now it wont even turn on. how do i fix it?
Hi, i cant get my iphone to turn on after the wrong password was entered a number of times. Now it has just shut down. how can i get it working again?
ive had this problem. i hope you have your phone backed up on your computer or something.
while its completely off, hold the home button and plug it into your computer in itunes it will say itunes has found a iphone in recovery mode press restore and there. your gonna have to restore.

- Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.

I did update on phone and now it wont even turn on... It shows the charger being plugged into I tunes.... At this point I am not sure if I need to just do a factory reboot or what....AT this point I cant do anything through phone... It has to be done by my computer ... Anyone know how... I am so stressed I am on call with no phone just a pager....Not good..... Please help thanks heidi

You buy one download and one download only, it is your responsibility to backup your music.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -

When the iPhone only shows the Apple logo and then turns off, it usually indicates an issue with the software that is preventing the phone from completing it's boot sequence. This can be remedied by putting the phone into DFU mode and restoring it. By restoring the phone, the software and firmware will be removed and replaced with a fresh set and the content will be removed from the phone and need to be resynced.
To put the phone into DFU mode:
1. Make sure the phone is connected to the computer
2. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 8 seconds
3. Let go of the sleep/wake button and keep holding down the home button
4. If you are successful, a dialog box will pop up in iTunes stating that iTunes has detected an iPod/iPhone in recovery mode and the phone's display will remain black.
5. Click OK, then click the restore button in iTunes.
Hopefully after that, the iPhone will be up and running so you can sync your content back.

It's not uncommon for it to not work the first time and sometimes, you have to try it a few times. Turn off your antivirus software and your firewall while you are trying to restore the iPad. Enable them again after you restore.
If that still won't work, post back with detailed information as to what exactly does happen as you go through the process. -
Is anyone else having issues with "skipping" while the songs are playing?! It is very aggravating to us... and we've had it going on for several months now. Any ideas at all how to fix it?

My IMAC screen went to sleep and I have it set to enter a password upon waking it up. However, my bluetooth keyboard died while it was asleep and I replaced the batteries and tried to enter my password and it is not picking up my keyboard. What can I do? I pushed in the button on the top right corner. It turns a green light on and then it goes off. I held it in until it started blinking. It blinks for a bit and then the green light turns off. I am still not able to type my password. What should I do now?

There was a power outage while I was asleep and my Imac was on. Now it is comatose, no sign of life no matter what I do. I pressed the power on button for over a minute and nothing happened. I unplugged the cable and changed the wall socket too but nothing happens. I hope My hard disc is not damaged and the data is not lost. How do I determine this with no technical knowledge?

While I was asleep I believe my Macbook Pro downloaded some new software, I turned it on this morning and now I have this black screen with letter inside of it that says whatever is inside of it to me. It is very annoying as if I am online it will describe everything to me and move my screen. I am a student and cannot work or research when my computer does this. Ipod 5th generation started loosing its battery really fast and now it wont even turn on.
My iPod 5th generation is just over a year old and its screen is a bit cracked. a couple of months ago it started to keep its battery less and less and it would go to 100% battery after a couple of minutes and then when unplugged it would die just as quickly. For the past week or so I've had to use it plugged in as it was barely keeping any charge (1 minute) at the most.Last night I was using it and i unplugged it and put it on the shelf i presumed it would be okay through the night as i wasn't using it. But when i woke up it wasn't turning on at all and so i plugged it into the charger. The apple symbol came up for about a minute and then the screen went blank. I thought I'd leave it plugged in to see what would happen but it kept repeating the symbol to blankscreen process. If anyone knows whats wrong with it or how to fix it please tell me. as it took me a long time to save up for it and its a big loss of money for me.

Make an appointment at the nearest Apple store and see what they can do for you. Some Apple Stores can replace the screens onsite so that may be an option.
The damage will not be covered by warranty so you will have to pay to have the phone serviced or replaced entirely.
