Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
My macbook air is not getting internet connection through our home wifi. It was working fine yesterday until I took the Air out of the house and used it on another wifi connection. One question is how to delete some of the networks that I don't use. Would too many networks cause the internet connection to fail?

It shouldn't but sometimes deleting the list of networks actually does solve the problem you are describing. Have you turned WiFi off and then back on on the computer? -
After I have upgraded to the new iOS 6.1.2, the email software doesn't work and is not downloading. While before it was working fine.
How to fix this?There seems to be massive amounts of problems with every aspect of iOS 6. From what I understand all you can do is try and reset your device and pray that Apple bequeaths working software next time or allows users to revert to iOS 5 while they search for someone who knows what they are doing. Perhaps you will need to use an alternate email app until then? (Although, Gmail seems to be the only one that works properly)

Hello, the volume of my microphone button in text messages is inaudible when pressed, even when my overall volume is on high and all other sounds/ringer/alerts volume are working fine! Is there a way to fix this? Was working fine yesterday. I've tried rebooting and turning Siri on and off, and can't think of what else to do. All googling results in posts about the mic not recording sound loud enough or not working. My mic works just fine; it does the job of recording, but I want the chime to be loud so I don't have to look at the screen to know when I can speak; I like to hear the chime to alert me. Any help is appreciated!

IPad connects to network, but not internet, and it was working fine yesterday
So yesterday it was working fine, conecting to the internet and the router, then all of a sudden 'Safari cannot load the page because it is not connected to the internet', it was the same for all the apps that needed internet.
My 4th generation iPod touch connects fine and so do other wireless devices on my network, what went wrong and how can I get my internet back!??
I have tried resetting the connectivity settings, resetting the router, adding the MAC address of the iPad to my routers 'Safe List' (which it wasnt on before it stopped working), and tried turning on and off the iPad.
So what can be done to fix this?

Then I set up a Static route then put it into the settings on the ipad under 'static' and finally it works!
A lot of hassle for such an annoying problem but I still have no idea why it didn't connect in the first place!?
You found a work-around. Can't argue with success but you have not solved your problem. You should continue trying to get it to work via dhcp and dynamic addressing. -
My Apple TV is showing a pink screen. It was fine yesterday. Changed the HDMI cable and this was not the issue so need help troubleshooting thx
pull the plug for 30sec and reconnect it and see if it helps

help .. i'm not techy so i'm not sure where to turn. I downloaded an updated 64 bit for my laptop that has windows 8 when my itunes wouldn't launch .. yesterday i was burning some cd's for a friend and it was working just fine. today as i attempted to launch itunes . it does nothing at all .. did i make a mistake by downloading an updated version? should i uninstall and re-install? help .. this *** ..
No, not paired to anything else, fresh out the box connected to the mac mini I bought at the same time, never been paired with anything else.

My phone played music fine yesterday. Today, headphones plugged in or not, my music (including YouTube and ringer) stops working. The timer still counts up as though it is still working but the volume turns gray or not at all and the little circle volume control disappears. How can I get my music working again?

My husband and I both have iphones and everything was ok until I synced his phone and lost all his contacts and pixs. I downloaded verizon's contact retreival app and got his contacts back but now his contacts keep overwriting mine. I can sync my phone and get my contacts back but within a few hours, his show up again. We use the same apple id for purchases. What can I do?
Are you sharing the same iCloud account (in Settings>iCloud)? And do you both have Contacts turned to On in Settings>iCloud?

For some reason, Firefox doesn't consider this a crash, so it didn't give me a crash report. Also, whenever this happens, a window pops up saying, "Firefox has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The annoying part is that the window appears to load correctly, but it freezes anyway. I'm using Vista and Firefox has been updated to the most recent version. Thank you for your help!

I don't know what you mean by VPN/Proxy? Where do I go to change this?
What I did do after reading your reply was I went to:
Tools>Options>Advanced>Connection Settings. I found the proxy @ "Use System Proxy Settings" and changed it to each of the following NO PRXY and AUTOMATIC PROXY SETTINGS. This didn't help me I kept getting the same crash error as at first. Each time I tried to change the proxy setting I found that when I went back to check that it had defaulted back to "Use System Settings"
Any other suggestions?

Hi Guys, I juts bought a new Imac and jad it connected to my wireless router yesterday but now when i click on the wireless button on the top screen, it comes up saing wireless hardware not installed, have any of you had this problem? Thanks Tracey
You can quickly see if there is a problem in reporting the AirPort card by going to the apple in the upper left corner, About This Mac, More Info, System report and look at the information on Hardware and the AirPort report...make sure it is not indicating a fault.
If all looks ok, try removing the network information and reentering it and see if the AirPort responds. -
I have an HP 3050A wireless printer that was working fine and now all of a sudden it doesn't print.
My HP 3050A wireless printer has stopped printing. I have restarted both my computer and the printer and it still didn't work. I deleted the printer from my printer list and then restarted everything again and now it doesn't even find the printer. What am I doing wrong? My computer is a new Mac. Thanks for your help.

Can you see the wireless light on the printer as Solid blue or is the lighe blinking?
If the light blinks, it means that the printer has disconnected from the network.
In order to reconfigure it - temporary connect the printer with USB, launch the HP Setup Assistsant (Located under Applications > Hewlett-Packard > Device Utilities) and follow the steps to reconfigure the wireless connection.
