Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Has the touch ever worked? if not IMEDIANTLY return it to Apple! They will replace it for you. Even it has worked before, I would still bring it to Apple, and they'll replace it for you, for free. I dropped my new iPhone 5 and it got all strathced up and they replaced it free, so I'm sure they'll replace something like that.

My guess is you are being asked for identifying information involving a credit card. Your credit card is not charged for free apps - although of course some apps have offer in-app items that may cost.

Does the charger get warm at all? Plug the cable into your computer with iTunes open. Does it say not charging.? If it does, the cable is good. The iPad will charge very slowly when pluged into your computer.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

You can always try to reset your device and see if it helps matters any:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

Turn off any auto-update, if it is on, then tap any of the "circle icons" showing that a download is in progress, in order to stop the download. Then go to the Settings and reset the Network Settings. After the iPad starts back up, then check to make sure no apps are currently in progress of downloading. If any are, stop them again, and reset the network settings again. When it starts up again, none should be in the process of downloading. Then from that point forward, only download manually and never more than two at a time. If it is more than 100 MB, then do only one at a time. If any gets stuck at that point, then stop the download and reset the Network settings.
That should take care of you for now. We'll see what another update brings ... IOS 8.2 (which might be the next one).

Have you tried to force quit the app? Double tap the home button. Scroll sideways if needed to see the icon and preview for the camera app. Flip that app up and off the screen to close it then single tap on the home screen preview or single tap the home button to exit the mode.
Try your camera app again and see if you can switch modes.
When you switch modes, you do have to drag the words, not just tap on the video word, if that makes any sense. When you try to go from video to photo, do you try to drag the photo word to the front?

This is an iPad user to user forum. Apple doesn't read or respond. We'll try to help you.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Bug: iPad Mini can not edit server 3.0.1 wiki pages

I have OS X server 3.0.1 running on my Mac Mini. With the iPad Mini 1 its possible to enter the wiki pages but when I want to edit them the toolbar disappears. Works fine with the iPad 1 so I cannot be related to the screen resolution.
Can someone confirm this bug?

Strange, I had the same problem under Mountain Lion Server. I tested it in the appel store withthe new ipads and it worked. Also with some other browsers it works on my iPad Mini but not all of them (Chrome for e.g.).
Any idea what could cause this problem?
