my iphone 3gs is an factory unlocked phone running on ios 6.1.3 which frequently goes into recovery mode. mostly atleast once in a week...how can i fi this problem???

Maybe you should consider that new phone recommendation you got...
Who told you that?
Is the phone jailbroken? Was it hacked to unlock it? Has it been physically damaged? Did you get it wet?

Well, assuming all of the above, Notifications, etc., it just might be time for a visit to the Apple tore genius center for a session with the techs. See if it is a fault in the hardware or just an iOS reinstall is the answer.
One more thing you could try, backup so you have a record of content, then restore to factory conditions be an Erase All Contents and Settings. Then restore from the backup you just made. That has helped some with WiFi problems, may be it would work with your problems.
But with that behavior of another app with problems, the geniuses looks like a less stressful thing to do.

2. Press the home button and while pressing, plug the dock end of the cable into the phone, and continure pressing the home button until iTunes detects the phone in recovery mode;
3. Follow the prompts to restore.
If the above sequence doesn't work, try this:
1. Start iTunes and plug in phone
2. Press BOTH home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then continue pressing the home button alone until iTunes detects the phone in Recovery Mode, and follow the prompts to restore.

Not only will the warranty be void, you will have given up your ability to get a discounted out of warranty replacement phone.

I thought this was an exceptional case. It was originally factory unlocked. Being stolen it underwent the changes and came back to the original owner. Police records are available to confirm.

this is the second time this happened to my phone. I was flicking around through twitter and all of a sudden my phone just shut off, after i turned it back on after about 5 minutes it turned off and wouldnt turn back on. i plugged it in and it says it is in recovery mode.

When you restore it using the computer, are you loading your backup onto the device again? If you are, try restoring it and setting it up as new. If it continues after being set up as new, then, yes, you will want to get it serviced.

If my phone battery dies it immediately is in recovery mode and I have to wipe the phone to get it back to factory settings. Can i fix this??? It is very annoying and sometimes my phones dies when I have 30-40% battery still so I am not sure if I can even prevent this from happening.

It sounds like your phone needs to be restored because it goes into Recovery Mode when the battery runs out, and it sometimes turns off when there appears to be plenty of charge left. Assuming you are restoring from a backup when this happens, I would next time set it up as a new device and test to see if it happens again. If so, reset the phone with the following process and test it again:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue still keeps happening, I would next seek service for the iPhone:

I have a 3G plan but most of the time it switches automatically to EDGE. Thats when i have to either switch Airplane mode - On/Off and then it acts normal. Return the iPhone personally or via friend/relative/co-worker who is in
the US. The warranty is valid only in the country of original purchase - the USA
in this case. Apple will not accept international shipments for evaluation nor
will Apple ship out of the country after repair/replacement.

Whoever told you that is wrong. The warranty on a repair or replacement iPhone is still 90 days minimum. Quoting from their Service FAQ:
If defects arise as a result of service, Apple will cover the repair for the remaining term of the iPhone's warranty or 90 days after iPhone service, whichever provides longer coverage for you.
Call Apple Support and discuss your problem with them. If they agree that it's a hardware problem, they can arrange for mail-in service.

My Iphone 4s goes into recovery mode after doing the IOS 6 update.

I just tried doing the IOS6 update and after about 2hrs into it my phone goes into recovery mode. The Itunes icon appeared on the phone. When i connected it to Itunes, I tunes said i had to restore and update my phone.
BTW my son did the update in about 15 minutes i tunes says my phone will take 7 HOURS!!!

Hi guyz just fixed mine just now, I used an app named iREB please refer to the below link. Make sure youre iphone is plugged in to your USB then launch the app as admin. As soon as the app is running go to the "Recovery Mode Loop Fixer" tab & hit the "Set Auto-Boot True (Fixes 1015 errors / Recovery Loops). It will restart your iPhone in just a moment & get you back to your homescreen.
I hope this will help those whos undergoing this horrifying iPhone problem.

I recent just upgraded my IPhone 4s to 5s. When I synced it to my computer it transfered eveything from my old phone to the new one which I didn't want. So when I tried to restore it to factory settings it went to recovery mode. I can get it out of recovery mode but it just goes back to way it was. How can I restore it with out going into recovery mode.

My iphone has been continously shutting off and going into recovery mode. I sometimes can get lucky and turn it back on, but my phone will randomly freeze and turn off again. I have just restored my phone this morning, and minutes after I got it up and running it shut off again. Sometimes the apple logo appears and just fades to black. I have not jailbroken or tampered with this phone in any way. It has also not been dropped. It is still under warranty, so I am thinking about replacing it. Any suggestions? Is there a known cause for this problem? Thanks.

When you restored it did your restore from a back up? Try restoring it to factory settings! If the issue/problem was in the software it could be in the backup and when you restore and put the back up on the phone you are just putting the problem right back on....
