My iPhone 3GS won't isn't recognizable after updating to iOS 6.0.1. I have a MacBook and an iMac. Both are also up to date. iPhone 3GS turns on, and charges from wall. Does not get recognized by either computer. Help!
My iPhone 3GS has worked like a charm. I stupidly agreed to do the software update today, and now both of my computers ignore it. Both computers are Mac. Both are updated. This is extremely frustrating, since I need my phone today for work purposes, and since I can't add music to it...it's basically useless. I use it as an MP3 player to play music during wedding Cocktail Hours.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I just updated my iPhone 5S to 7.1. Since doing so I cannot connect to iTunes via my MacBook Pro. My iPhone just vibrates once plugged in and I get an error message in iTunes (eventually) stating that my iPhone can't connect. I back up to iTunes. HELP
1. change date and time to MANUAL
2. set date one year ahead
3. restart phone
4. ignore all message you get on restart. go to setting for date and time, set to automatic
5. close setting. sign on to itunes, you will need to enter your apple ID and password -

I am going crazy changing passwords that do not get recognized by the different services when it is time to use them, until I am asked to change the password again, starting the vicious cycle again: i need to use the password, it does not get recognized three times, then the system asks me to change it again, and again, and I am stuck!! Is there any fix for this "glitch?
The first thing I would suggest is for you to go to the folder containing your catalog, using your system browser. There will be a folder that has the extension .lrdata. Delete that folder, and then try to start Lightroom. If that doesn't work, replace your catalog with your most recent backup.

I have installed FCPX on my iMac (mid 2007) with a video ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB. This does not meet the minimum requirements. It seems to be ok but what kind of problems can I expect ?

Hey Luis. I not only remember…I still have mine (OS 9)! Works perfectly well…for some things; just need to be selective about what I ask it to do. (Also have its big brother Pismo running Tiger, which is still an extremely competent machine.) When I take them out of their cases, I'm still amazed at the G3's build quality.

Have old MacBook Pro running tiger 10.4 want to save date to external hard drive and buy newer MacBook and still use same drive. Any suggestions, most WD drives say nothing about os tiger 10.4. The OS compatibility is much newer on the data. Totally confused. Not a computer person.
I haven't checked reviews recently but there's a difference between bare drives and drives with enclosures. Western Digital made some of the most reliable drives last time I checked, though the enclosures weren't all that great. It is convenient to get both in one package but I usually buy a highly rated enclosure and then put a highly rated drive in it myself. OWC sells some good enclosures but if they put a so-so drive inside of it then the package is only as good as its weakest component. If you get a package from them, ask them what drive is inside (some vendors have no idea what's inside - went to an Apple Store recently and they couldn't tell me what was inside some of their Apple brand enclosures). My first thought if buying a new drive would be to buy a OWC enclosure with a WD drive, but chek around because I may be out of date.
10 years ago Seagate was one of the best drives. Now they rate poorly in reviews. -

The same story. No 3G after updating to 6.1. Told my daughter temporarily not to do an update on her iPad with 6.01. We've exchanged SIMs. I inserted her SIM in my iPad - 3G appeared immediately. And my SIM in her iPad with ios 6.01 also WORKS FINE. We use the same provider - Megafon Moscow. After attempting to revert SIMs to original configuration, 3G disappeared on my iPad again. Don't know what's going on with SIM during the update to 6.1

Siri isn't working after updating to iOS 7.1?
After updating to iOS 7.1, my Siri is no longer working. When I talk to it, the small line which fluxuates only moves slightly and I have to move the phone directly to my mouth for it to hear what I'm saying. To check it was just Siri, I called another phone and created a voice memo and they sounded perfect.
I'm not sure if its iOS 7.1, but is anyone else getting this problem? I'm using an iPhone 5 by the way!Tuesday, I updated my Ipad Air to 7.1 and the samething happened Zacmoon happened to me. Siri quit working. Siri keeps sayting, sorry about this, but I can't take any requests right now. Also, dictation quit working as well. I tried the Hold power and home button at the same time reset method and that did not help. Tried turning the airport button on and off and that did not help. I had no problen befor the 7.1 update with Siri. One more thing, I called Apple support and talked to Conor. He said he would check with Apple about an issues with Siri and would call me back in five minutes. I never heard back from him. Iam really ****** off!

IPod Nano does not get recognized as it should

I have got a problem that just popped up. The iPod itself works fine but I can not sync any longer.
When I plug in my iPod Nano it does not open iTunes anymore and when I open iTunes it does not appear. It get recognized in Windows Explorer as a new drive but without the iPod name and when clicking on the drive it says that the disk is not formatted and ask if I would like to format now.
I tried to changed drive from G to other as from one support page but without result
I have tried the 5 R´s but I am unable to restore the unit as the iPod updater freezes when I open it and it tries to look for the iPod.
My PC is with Windows 2000 and my iPod worked fine earlier.
I have tried to connect the iPod to other PC´s but with the same result -- the iPod says "do not disconnect" and nothing happens more than that the battery get charged.
I have tried to end the iPodservice.exe from the task manager but it fails saying "unable to terminate process, access is denied" This happend in all three PC´s
The unit shows up when clicking on the Safe Hardware removal icon in USB as "Apple iPod USB device" but when trying to stop the device it says that the unit can not be stopped now...
In my iPod I have checked and it is Format Windows

I have now been able to do the restore my iPod Nano using the hints in one of the questions below. So now the iPod is recognized by Windows Explorer but now by iTunes. At least some progress.
What puzzles me ist that it seems that half teh world have teh same problem and Apples suggestion how to solve this does not work so where is Apple support?
No more fromme, I will read and try every thing I can until I just take a hammer and make the life of the iPod shorter than expected. There are many MP3 players on teh market that works... -

Attempted to update iPhone 5s to 8.0.2 from a version of iOS 7, received an error message (made the mistake of not documenting the error code). Now the device will not turn on past about two seconds of the Apple logo, and the computer will not recognize the device. The device will not enter recovery mode. I have tried restarting iTunes and resetting the Apple Mobile Device service multiple times. Help please, thank you!
