  • Iphone 5 no longer connects to wifi

Iphone 5 no longer connects to wifi. Finds network, password correct but then ' cannot connect to network'. Connected to network till today, connects to other networks. Other iphone 5's are able to connect to this network. Please help?
I have turned the phone on and off and reset the network settings. I have also turned the wifi switch on and off.

Call Apple support or take it to an Apple store for evaluation. If it is defective they will replace it.

  • Original iPhone will no longer connect to wifi

I have an original iPhone updated to 3.1.2 recently. Since then I have had problems with it connecting to my wifi networks both at work and at home with no other network problems to speak of. It was connecting on and off until finally, it will not connect at all. I have tried to manually connect to my networks and it prompts that it cannot scan for wireless networks. Please help apple!

    First try this:
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Re-enter your wifi info, see if things work now. If not, proceed:
Standard troubleshooting steps in the following order:
    1. Reset: Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the apple logo, then release(ignore the slide to power off). If no change, proceed:
    2. Restore your phone in itunes from your most recent backup. While this will restore a fresh OS, it will also restore the problem/problems if part of your backup. If no change, proceed:
    3. Restore your phone as a "new" device in itunes & re-sync your itunes content. You will lose all saved data doing this.
If no change after doing the above, you most likely have a hardware issue.

  • My iPhone 5 no longer connects to wifi! Not at home or at school what do I do?

My iPhone 5 is a little over a month old. My iPad and other devices still connect to my home wifi and when I help people get onto the school wifi their devices continue to work. I haven't dropped it at all so it can't be anything broken on the inside. I reset my network settings and that didnt help

Call Apple support or take it to an Apple store for evaluation. If it is defective they will replace it.

  • IPhone 4s no longer connects to wifi, wifi is greyed, FaceTime no longer works

I have been having issues ever since the iOS 5.1.1 update and I thought with the iOS 6, all these bugs would be fixed. Unfortunately they have not. My iphone's wifi has not worked for several months now. I believe it is the reason my FaceTime no longer works. Weird thing is, is that I can still receive FaceTime calls, but cannot make them myself. The wifi section in settings is greyed and I cannot even switch it back on. It's permanently in the off position. What is going on with my phone . Dissapointed in my Apple product.
PS- We have an Apple wireless home router, top of line, and we have everything Apple in our house specifically to deal with disconnect issues. My iPad works great at home, same with Apple tv. I know it's my phone.

If it doesn't help you likely have a hardware failure. As your phone is still in warranty take it to an Apple store. Make an appointment first.

  • Iphone 4s no longer connects to wifi

My iphone 4s seems to have forgotten how to connect to any wifi network, use hotspot or use bluetooth. I'm not sure what triggered this new habit. Anyone else having such a problem? Any suggestions? I have updated everything and restarted and hard-reset the phone.

next step is a backup and restore of the phone, if this does not help then call 800.my.apple for support.

  • My Iphone 4S no longer connects to wifi networks

My  smart-phone is not so smart and hasn't been since the last OS update.
I've  tried to decipher where the problem is and it appears it occurs on  networks where there is a "pop-up" asking you your log-in credentials  (ie. airport hotspots, cable hotspots, hotels, etc.). The phone is not automatically finding and asking to join those networks. If I manually select the network in settings I get the unhelpful message that the phone is "unable to connect" to the named network
The forums suggest  resetting the network but that's not an option in these cases.
I've tried resetting the phone, forgetting the network and trying again. etc. etc. but the problem persists. I thought the update to the update would fix it, but so far there is no change. I've tried manually connecting but that requires that I know the network password, protocol, etc and in most cases I don't.
It was a major problem on vacation, where I did not have cell service. The hotel had free wifi but the iphone 4S was unable to connect. (My friend's Android did, for what it's worth, and so did my ipad).
    I'm one frustrated Apple consumer.

  • Iphone 3g no longer connecting to wifi

I have a iphone 3g which has the lastest upgrade 4.2.1.  I updated the phone to this latest version in March 2011.  2 days ago my wifi has stopped working.  It just says its not connected and when its trying to scan for networks nothing happens.  I have restored, rebooted, restored from itunes and nothing seems to work.  I still get the same outcome, nothing...  I do not believe that this is an upgrade problem as it was working fine for the past couple of months until now. Can anyone help please?

next step is a backup and restore of the phone, if this does not help then call 800.my.apple for support.

  • My iphone 4s and ipad 2 both with 7.0.4 update will no longer connect to wifi but non-mac lap top has no issues

my iphone 4s and ipad2 both with 7.0.4 update will no longer connect to wifi.
About three days ago the ability to connect came and went and the connection never lasted more than 10-15 minutes; it has not been able to connect since last night. I do not think it's my wifi router as non-mac lap top has no issues. I have seem many similar questions posted.

Reboot your router by removing all power from it for about 15 seconds. Also, if your router still has its default SSID (such as LINKSYS, DLINK, NETGEAR, etc) change the SSID to something unique. Note that all other devices on your network will have to be reconnected if you change the name, but if the name is still the default that is most likely your problem.
If the SSID is not the default then the reboot should fix it.

  • HT5569 Since upgrading to 7.1.1 last week, I can no longer connect to WIFI on my iPhone 4S

Since upgrading to 7.1.1 last week, I can no longer connect to WIFI on my iPhone 4S

No, it is not a known issue. It is a known non-issue. Try resetting your IMAP login ID and password. Both the incoming and outgoing. If that fails delete the account reboot the phone, and add it back.

  • My iPhone 4S will no longer connect to wifi. It is on os6. I've had it for 18 months

My iPhone 4S will no longer connect to wifi.  The wifi button is greyed out. It is using io6. Like this for a week . Is 18 months old. what is warranty time in Australia?

There is a one year limited hardware warranty with all iPhones.
You can check your warranty by going to supportprofile.apple.com.
Try to restore the iphone as new without restoring from a backup. If that doesn't work, you're going to need a repair.
And if it's out of warranty, you will have to pay for it.

    No.
Any problem connecting your iPhone to any other wi-fi network besides your own?
