i have updated my iphone with itunes, then in last my iphone has carrier locked.
so i want to unlock my iphone.The only time an iOS update will carrier lock an iPhone is if that device was previously hacked to unlock.
Contact the carrier to whom it is locked, find out their requirements to unlock and if you qualify. -

If you have just purchased a used iPhone then it is locked to the previous owner and request they remove it from their iCloud account .There is no other way

You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your iOS device by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store (Settings > Store on iOS 5 and below) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.
If that doesn't fix it then contact iTunes Support and see if they can/will unlock it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

Restore it as explained in the article you were just reading. If you're running iOS 7 with Find My iPhone enabled, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808).

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, all a thief or whoever finds it has to do is force the phone into recovery mode & restore it. While this deletes all data on the phone, it also removes the passcode so the phone can then be used as a phone or touch. -
I had my iphone 4 locked to vodafone uk carrier. I connected the phone to itunes on my pc and tried to update the version to ios 6 through itunes. But it has been locked and asks for sim of previous carrier. how can i return to previous state?
You cannot return to previous state. The update re-locked the iPhone
to the original carrier. You must contact the original carrier to see if
they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that if your iPhone had previously been hacked/modified/
jailbroken to work with other than original carrier, it may be impossible
for the original carrier to unlock it properly. -
I have got an IPhone 5. It has been locking itself and not possible to run it again. I have restored it by Itunnes. But still not functioning. I have bought it from London whitecity applestore and have been using it in Turkey. Any recomandation ?
Sorry, but the warranty for the phone is only valid in the country where you bought the device, and you can't send it in, Apple does not ship internationally.
Has the phone been officially unlocked? Only the carrier can unlock an iPhone.
