My iPhone is stuck in restoration.

So I bought myself a new iPhone 4s today. I brought it home and tried to sync it with my itunes account when it said I needed to update it to ios 6. So I started the updating and I got to the screen with the apple logo and the progress bar half full, and I bumped into the USB cord and it unplugged from my phone. I plugged it back in and itunes said that it was in recovery mode and I needed to restore it. So I started to restore it, and 3 hours later i'm still staring at the progress bar on my phone that hasn't moved an inch. Itunes says it's restoring iphone software.
What should I do? It's been stuck for hours. My itunes is up to date and all.

Did you ever got this resolve? I have your same problem phone type and all.

If it won't restore in the regular restore mode, you may want to try putting it in DFU mode if you haven't already. Instructions for this are linked below.

Error: "iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1015)".
I'm in Tanzania and was trying to jail break my phone with one of those online download programs that say they can break any iPhone. 100% guaranteed! Well, my phone is now locked up in 'need of restore' through iTunes. BUT, it won't restore. The error 1015 keeps returning at the end of the restore process. I'm up to date on iTunes and iPhone software. Can anyone help me? I'm stuck here in Africa with an 11 hour time shift from Apple tech support.

1015 error: There are 4 possible causes of this error:
The activation server truly is unavailable. Rare, usually fixed within minutes.
Your antivirus or firewall or router's firewall is blocking access to
gs.apple.com on ports 80 and 443.
Your iPhone is jailbroken or otherwise hacked.
The computer you connected to during the restore/update was
used to hack/jailbreak some other iOS device, and its
network database was corrupted during the process.

I did an update on my 5, but i was using as my internet on laptop. it crashed and itunes is doing recovery on it but stuck at restoring firmware. Any ideas as to how to get phone working again?

It sounds like your phone became unresponsive when you attempted a restore of the device. Try resetting your device with this process:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Iphone 5s stuck at restore mode?

My Iphone 5s is stuck at restore mode I have tried numerous methods to bring it back to life. Its not working I really do not want to loose all my pictures and apps? Can anyone help me with this issue?. Connecting to Itunes is not working also tried restore mode which cancels as there seems to be an error/ connection lost.

If you've not previously backed it up, your data is already lost. Try this method:
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

Iphone 4 stuck at restore firmware

I have this iphone 4 which is stuck at restoring firmware. The version of windows i was using was not genuine so i installed a new one. The problem persisted.
I tried editing hosts file too but that also did not work.
Anybody can please help me out here?

hello the windows version is genuine or not doesnt matter at all,sir first of all if you are using a laptop make sure it is pluged in charge,then uninstall itunes completely then restart your computer and download itunes again and reinstall it (because you messed up the hosts file),now plug your iphone on a different usb port then start the restaure,if that didnt work keep trying every usb port in your computer,still the same issue ? put your iphone in dfu mode by turning off the phone (while it is pluged in the computer) then press the power button for 3 seconds then press the home button without releasing the power button for 10 seconds then release power button and keep holding home button for 12 seconds.now your device should be in dfu mode and itunes should detect it,now restaure and it should work ! hope this helps

That often indicates a hardware failure. make an appointment at the genius bar and take it in for them to look at.

IPHONE 3G STUCK ON RESTORE AND UPDATE AFTER 4.2 UPDATE FAILED HALFWAY THRU

I plugged my iPhone 3g in to iTunes and a new update was available for it (update version 4.2). So I downloaded it and started the update, and it got to the very last step and it quit and a pop out came saying "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored or updated. An error occurred (37)." And now it the iPhone won't even turn on unless its plugged in and even when it's plugged in it only shows the screen that says to plug into to iTunes, which just keeps repeating "iPhone is in recovery mode, needs to be retored to be used". I have Iphone 5 . Few Days Back it fell into the water I some how succeeded to recover it from damage But it started to have a problem in which it was always showing "searching" in the carrier signal area.I tried to restore it by downloading the newest firmware and when it started restoring It get stuck on the"Restoring iphone firmware"part which is the final step I beleive.Now I am not even able to get out of recovery mode .
