Specifically, this is the section that will be most relevant to your issue:
Camera is not functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center. Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

If this is a Verizon iPhone 4, there is no SIM slot.
For non-Verizon iPhone 4, the SIM is on the right side.
Push a paperclip inbto the hole to eject the SIM tray.

Canvas has gone green and displays nothing...

Hi,
Im using Final Cut Studio 2.
Everything was working ok and I was adding some text and now the canvas won't display anything its just green. New projects are fine its just this project. I really dont want to re-do this project as it has taken me ages.
I guess I must have done something wrong... any ideas?
Is there a way of setting the Canvas back to default setting?

OK well i found some sort of solution but i don't really think things are right...
It was to do with the size.. set fit to window and its ok apart from i get green lines on the previously rendered clips... is this normal?
Would be great to know how to return the canvas window to its default state.

Iphone has gone black, no idea how to fix it.

The screen is black, and the phone is completely unresponsive. I have tried literally everything I can think of to fix it, but the phoen is unresponsive to all of it. When I attempt to reset the phone, it just doesn't work. Nothing happens. When I try to charge it, however, the phone will vibrate twice (to signify if it's charging or not) constantly in intervals of about 5 seconds. I hooked it up to ITunes and it said it was at 49% battery life. Nothing I do will work, and I would like a solution that DOES NOT require me to reset the entire phone to factory setting so that I lose all of my data.

If the basic troubleshooting steps Apple recommends in their manual fail to work (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new), bring the phone to the Genius Bar and get the phone evaluated.

Iphone 3G camera has green and purple stripes

I have a 3G iphone that was working perfectly. All of the sudden, these green and purple "noise" lines started showing up just in the camera app. I restored the software and that didn't get rid of it. I also pinched the case to see if maybe something was loose- still no go.
I know that I'm not the first person to experience this problem but I was wondering if someone had figured out what exactly is causing the problem. Is it the camera itself? Like I said, it was working fine.

it was from the display protector on the screen?
Most likely that is the reason. I have a screen protector on and see similar issues when the iPhone is not on. They're not noticeable when turned on. Remove it and see the difference.

Hello everyone,
I've had an iPod Touch 4th generation for a few years now, and, today, for the first time, the screen has gone white and their are vertical lines on it. What happened was I accidentally dropped my iPod Touch on tile and it landed on its back. I tried it out right afterwards to see if it was still working and it seemed like it was perfectly fine. Later on, I got an email from one of my friends, so I slid the email button on the lock screen to see the email. In the email, there was a link to a gif image, so I opened it in Safari. After I was done with it, I closed that tab. I also had a second tab open from earlier, so I wanted to close that tab as well. When I clicked on the button to see all tabs and close one, the screen completely froze. I held on to the on/off button on the top of the iPod, and, after about a minute, the screen switched to a completely white screen with lines on it. I've tried holding onto the on/off button again and it doesn't work. I also tried plugging it into my Windows 7 computer and opening iTunes, but my computer doesn't even recognized it is plugged in. It won't appear under the "computer" section in Windows Explorer, which will allow me to do USB-related tasks with it. iTunes doesn't recognize that it is plugged in either, so I can't do anything like restore the iPod to factory settings. The home button on my iPod hasn't been working for a while so i've always been using the accessibility feature that gives me a home button on the screen. Now that I can't access that, I can't hold down both the on/off button and the home button at the same time. What should I do? Should I send it in to Apple for repairs (which I won't do and would rather buy a new iPod Touch)? I am thinking of just leaving it to, hopefully, have the battery drain and the iPod would die. Then, I could charge it and see what happens. Other than that, i'm just clueless right now and I have no idea what I should do. Please help me!
My iPod Touch is an iPod Touch 4th generation model with 8GB. It is running iOS 5.1.1.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Connect the iPhone to the compter you usually sync with
and use iTunes on that computer to do the restore.

Can you still access your Bookmarks at the top of the Safari screen? If so, select it and choose History. Then click Clear History at the top of the History window.
If that does not help, double-click the Home button. A row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen. Scroll across and find Safari. Press and hold on it until it starts to wiggle. Then click on the red minus sign to remove it from the list. Click the Home button to stop the wiggling and again to return to the Home screen. Now see if Safari is working any better.
If still no improvement, try resetting (rebooting) the iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings. You might need to hold the buttons for as long as a minute.
