my iPhone 5 took a crap on me in October 2014. prior to the iphone5 going down for good I had backed up everything onto iTunes. I have not yet gotten a replacement iPhone. is there any way to extract the photos that I backed up onto iTunes from the iphone5 prior to it breaking down on me

A backup is a compress folder, and we can't access on only Photos in it....
The resolution can be :
- Find another iPhone ( with the same software of your iPhone 5 or more recently for the compatibility)
- Backup this "New Phone" to lost nothing ( you can check your backup in 'Preference pane' of iTunes, Then "Device" ),
- Restore your iphone's backup on new phone, then if you have a window computer, copy your photos like USB key, or on Mac with iPhotos.
- Once you collect all your photos, restore new phone's backup on new phone.
New Phone can be a family's phone or a Friend's phone

How can I view the iMessages that were sent to me while I was out of the country? They never loaded, but people have told me that they sent me many iMessages while I was gone.
I figured they would load when I turned on my cellular data, but only my text messages loaded. I would like to see the iMessages I missed because I believe some of them were fairly important.
I would really appreciate somebody's help!

As far as I understand with this, iMessage works the same as regular txts.The iMessages are held on the messaging server for 72hrs if it's not picked up by then it expires. So those that you didn't get you will never get. Sorry.

I had an iPhone 4 that got stolen and just got a new one, so after I had taken important photos I plugged the phone into iTunes and it accidentally restored to my old iPhone data and uploaded all that information, deleting the new photos before I had a chance to back them up. I don't suppose there is any way of retrieving this lost data?

When you open the File menu, you should have 19 options, including 'Manage catalogs, Ctrl+Maj+C'.
All options should be available (not grayed out).
Using the 'Manage catalogs' option should open a new dialog.
In the white panel on the bottom you should find one or several catalogs found by the Organizer.
In the upper right part, two buttons : Open and Convert.
Click on 'Convert' which should open a new dialog allowing you to find the catalog to convert. The organizer should find most older catalogs in the list on the bottom. If you don't see your catalog to convert, you can tick the checkboxes to 'show previously converted catalogs' or to browse to their location.
Highlight the catalog to convert and click the convert button.

You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer.

Yes, you'll need a client-side script to do fade-in/fade-out fx. Look at jQuery Superfish.

Assuming you are using iTunes 11.1:
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
In iTunes towards the upper right of your screen you will see the name of your iPhone. Click on it (not the eject symbol.
This will open a series of windows with tabs.
Select the tab for photos.
Untick the ones you do not want on your iPhone and at the bottom right click on Apply.
They will be removed.

Thanks lllaass, but I am not computer literate and do not understand exactly what it is I am supposed to do. All of my photos were stored on Microsoft Windows Live Photo Gallery. When I now access the gallery the only thing that is there are the folders with the title of the folders. The pictures that were in those folders are now gone. I can no longer access them on my IPOD either. My photo library on my IPOD is now empty.

Try doing it on your computer with iTunes and then sync to your iPad to see if it clears the problem.

A backup doesn't contain any of your iTunes downloads or the contents of the Music, Videos or iBooks apps. If they are ibooks and they are still in the store then you should be able to redownload them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app. If they are PDFs and/or epubs from other sources then do you have copies of them anywhere e.g. are they in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library or elsewhere on your computer ?
