There is no such app. There are apps available that will periodically email the location but those have to be installed before it is lost.However, typically those do not works with iPods since iPod have to be connected to the internet via wifi to send the email.

There are two screen displays available - Retina and non-Retina - and there's a world of difference between them. The Retina has non-user replaceable RAM and flash storage (well, the latter without voiding your warranty) and the non-Retina has user replaceable RAM and HD/SSD. And then, of course, there's the difference in the resolution of the screen itself... and a difference between the 13" and 15" screens (available in both 'flavors').
How much storage you need will depend on your needs.
I don't recommend the Retina models at this time - too many issues with tinting (on Samsung displays) and image retention (on LG displays).
So take a look at what the non-Retina machines have to offer - you can customize to your heart's content but remember that you can always upgrade the RAM and the hard drive in the non-Retina machines yourself.

There is no wasy to find it without wi-fi.
Wi-fi ius the ONLY way the ipod touch has to locate it.
ipods have no GPS or any other method of location.

The easiest option would to purchase a backup hard drive and store your data there. Hard drives are getting cheaper all the time, and all you have to do is drag and drop. Lots of good choices here, but I've had good luck with the super-reliable G Drive and the Seagate Freeagent Go.
When it comes to transferring the DVD, there are some legal ambiguities to address. Strictly speaking, by strict application of copyright law, it's even illegal to copy content you own. In short, if you purchased a DVD, it can't be copied. However, "fair use" is often used to justify copying content - movies or software - that you've paid for already. That means you'll have to "rip" the DVD. Since powers at Apple are likely to object to fair use arguments, you'd best to investigate the details on your own.

I have an iphone 4 with the recent ios8 update installed but for some reason recently it does not charge right away when plugged in, and when it finally does charge it can blink on the screen in and out of charging like the cable is not supported. It is the same iphone 4 lightning cable that I bought with it so that can't be the issue right? I restarted the phone today as well and that still didn't fix it. It will charge the battery all the way when it connects properly but the connection is the problem. Is this a hardware or battery issue that can be fixed easily?

The last place I worked, AT&T had to come out and place an antenna inside the building. Largely because we threatened to cancel our contract of over 500 phones with them if they didn't fix it.

Here's the long answer. The power adapter senses power problems both at the input and the output - I mentioned protection circuitry at the DC output end. When the power adapter senses an AC line voltage input problem (even if it's less than a cycle), the adapter may momentarily stop charging. I believe that's what is happening to you. There are many reasons that this could happen: loose AC wiring at a switch or outlet, loose ground wire, line in-rush over-voltage, even something as simple as someone cycling a flourescent lighting fixture can cause a problem. To resolve this, you can:
Try a different power adapter. Due to a internal component tolerance stack-up, an adapter may be hyper-sensitive to AC line noise. If a second power adapter does the same thing, you can:
Get an AC line conditioner. I'm guessing a $75-100 unit would do the trick. If that doesn't work, you can:
Use the ungrounded, two-prong "duckhead" for the power adapter.

Sounds like the battery needs to be replaced.
