I have been through the trouble shooting assistance on the apple website but my ipod touch still does not show up on itunes although it shows in my compter....help??

Without knowing exactly what troubleshooting you've tried, if you are using a Windows based computer, try iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Disable a/v software and turn off the Firewall.. see if that helps.
Disable antivirus software
Turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
