My daughter has entered the wrong passcode too many times on her iPOD Touch, it is now disabled.  When I connect to iTunes, it will not let me go any further until I enter the correct passcode.  I no longer get the option to do this, all I get is iPOD disabled.  Help Please

Restore the iPod from the computer to which the iPod is synced. For information and instructions, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If that will not work, you'll need to put the iPod into Recovery Mode and then try the Restore again:

  • TS2634 My iPad is now disabled because someone entered the wrong passcodes too many times.  I connected to iTunes and I got an error code that the iPad's passcode needs to be entered.  What do I do now?

My iPad2 was being used by my wife.  She put a passcode on it.  She hasn't used this iPad for a while and forgot the passcode.  She entered what she thought was the 4 digit passcode but the iPad did not accept it.  She tried different combinations and eventually disabled the iPad.  Now it has this message:  "iPad is disabled connect to iTunes".  I connected it to iTunes and iTunes is asking for the passcode to be entered into the iPad before it can be synced?  I can't enter the passcode because the iPad is disabled.  Please help how I can solve this.  Thanks.

You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and resync/restore your content to it.

IPod touchMy iPod touch is lock and my brother was trying too use it and he  entered the wrong code  too many times

    Ok
I may be able to help you .
If you backed up your iPod prior to it being locked you may be in luck.
    1. Hook it up to your Mac or PC
    2.Open iTunes
3.Click on your iPod (on the left hand side somewhere)
4.Click on restore (in the centre somewhere)
    5.follow the onscreen instructions
Once you have restored the device there should be an option that says restore from back up.
    Click on that.
Hopefully this works. If it doesn't please let me no.

  • TS3682 I have tried to restore me iPod that is disabled due to typing in the wrong password too many times. iTunes keeps giving me a box saying that it can't connect because I need to type in the passcode on the iPod (which I can't) what do I do now?

I have followed the steps provided by apple to restore an iPod touch. It is disabled due to having the wrong password entered too many times. When I get part way through the restore process on my computer it pops up a box saying that it can't restore until I enter the passcode into the iPod. I have tried this same process over 5 times now and keep gutting the same results. It is my kids iPod and he has only had it since September. Someone please help me before I throw the thing through the window and my kid strangles me!!! Thanks!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • ITunes 7.0 will not recognize my iPod Video

I'm new to this forum and somewhat of a novice when it comes to figuring this stuff out on my own. I happily downloaded 7.0 this morning because I purchased one of the tv shows that is earmarked for version 7.0. The download process went smoothly and I rebooted my computer as instructed. Regrettably, iTunes will not now recognize my pod! Fortunately, approximately 75% of all things purchased is backed up onto data discs and I'm going to back up the rest later today. However, I'm now skiddish and would like some advice as to how to fix this problem. How do I get Version 7.0 to recognize my iPod?
      Windows XP   Version 2002
Dell   Windows XP   Version 2002; Service Pack 1
Dell   Windows XP   Version 2002; Service Pack 1

Can you do me a favor? Can you see if bouncing the iPodService -- i.e.
    1. Quit iTunes.
    2. Right click on "My Computer". Select "Manage"
    3. Select "Services and Applications" in the left hand panel.
    4. Double click on "Services" in the right hand panel.
    5. Double click on "iPodService" in the right hand panel.
    6. This brings up a dialog.
    7. In this dialog, push the "stop" button.
    8. Make sure your iPod is connected and wait until it settles in Windows, i.e. you get all the new hardware balloons and noises.
    9. Push the "start" button in the dialog to restart the iPodService.
    10. Restart iTunes.
Does iTunes now see your iPod?
Alternatively, if the iPod is plugged in when you boot the computer, does iTunes see the iPod?

  • I pad has been disabled as kids typing in wrong passcode to many times. I pad says connect to I tunes, tried to but pc asks to put in passcode to enter I tunes but as its disabled I can't type in a passcode. Any ideas ?

iPad has been disabled as kids have typed in wrong passcode too many times. Have tried to connect to iTunes to restore it but can't as PC says to enter passcode but I obviously can't as iPad is disabled. Any ideas ?

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.
You will need to restore using Recovery Mode. You can read about it here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4097
    Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
    Use iTunes to restore iPad.
