My iPod was recently stolen I am not sure beside reporting it to the police how I can shut it down as I think someone is trying to access it What do I do?
Hi I hope I am in the right area my ipod touch was recently stolen and although I am reporting it to the police< I think someone is trying to download apps. What can I do to shut this down. I am not sure I downloaded cloud.

If you previously turned on FindMyiPod ins Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. You can then find its general location and wipe it. If the iPod has been restored it will show off-line forever.
Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod.

Police don't "track down" lost items, per se. They'll keep your information on file in the event that someone finds your iPod and turns it in. Otherwise, there's nothing the police can or will do in regards to finding lost property.

A man broke into my apartment last night and my macbook is missing. I don't have the receipt or the serial number but I purchased it with my visa card. Would someone at the genius bar be able to take my credit card and find out the mac that I purchased and flag it in case the person tries to bring it in?

Report it to the police.
Start filling an insurance claim if you think it is worht it (your rates may rise if you make a claim but a new computer might still be worth it). -
Stolen I-pad. Do you have any ideas on how we could track it if it is not on? We went to I-Cloud as soon as we found out it was missing and locked it. We also reported it to the police in St. Augustine, Florida.
Like Allan said, you can't track it when it isn't on. So, keep checking back periodically, you might get lucky and get a location when they turn it on. You can then provide that information to the police.

Recently my iPod touch 4th gen. was stolen. I have had it for two years, so I don't have a warranty on it anymore. I reported it to the police, but what will apple do? My ipod was recently disabled and now says "connect to iTunes" although my ipod has never been synced to my Mac laptop it will not allow me to. I need help.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

As above you cannot remotely wipe an iPod classic.
Apple has no obligation to you in this matter. Talk to your vehicle insurer, though if the item was visible from outside of the vehicle they will probably want to reduce their pay out to you rather than increase it.

I have the original box with the serial number on it, but it is no longer protected under the AppleCare plan. I don't have any of the GPS or MobileMe apps installed on it, but was wondering if there was a way that you could still recover it. Also is there a way to make it so that if someone plugs it into their computer, it won't work?
Without having already set up the FindMyiPod feature there is nothng you can do to locate the iPod. Apple can't help either. Thereis no way to prevent someone from restoring your iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and using. Report it to the police and change the passwards for all accounts used on the iPod. it.

First, report this to the police. Then, you can't do anything with your serial number to track the MacBook.
Instead, if you turned on Find my Mac, you can track it if it's connected to Internet. You can track it with the Find my iPhone app from any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or from http://www.icloud.com at any Mac or PC.
If you didn't turn on Find my Mac, there's not anything else you can do apart from reporting that to the police
