My iTunes is awfully inaccurate in showing the space and allocation on all of my devices!
I saw this in another thread, but I have to write about it! My iphone and ipad mini are both being totally mis-represented in itunes. Sometimes, for instance, I'll have twenty apps on it, but the bar on the bottom of itunes states zero. I've synced all of my books to it (200ish) and it says I have 8 books! Likewise with photos. At first, I thought it was just my iphone. Today, I got a new Mini and it's the same situation. This is beyond frustrating. I have no clue what I can, or cannot add. I'm using the latest version of everything - ios 7.0.3 and itunes 11.1.2. (Also, restored the iphone, but it's the same business.) I'm at my wit's end and I don't know what to do! Please assist...

P.S. I should note that even my shuffle is having difficulties. I don't know if one can somehow "reset" itunes?
Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes won't affect its library. Back it up anyway.

iTunes shows the music and audiobooks I've loaded to my iPod Touch, but they do not show up when I try to play them. I reconnect to iTunes and it shows the music and books as being loaded on my iPod.
Sometimes the audiobook will play, then disappear from iPod's play menu after I reconnect to iTunes and load more music. I've got plenty of free memory, and iTunes shows the files still on iPod.

- Unsync/delete all AB and resync
To delete all ADgo to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>AB and try deleting them from there
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

I have the newest version of the iPad and can not see it under devices in my iTunes account on my PC. I can however see my iPod touch under devices and sync it. How can I get my iPad to show under devices and sync as well? I have also tried may suggestions on the apple support site and none have worked. Any suggestions are welcome.

I activated an iTunes gift card, my iPod showed the amount available ($15) then after downloading 2 songs my balance was $.04. Any ideas on what happened to the rest of my funds or how I can find out where the rest of my money went?
- Have youwent to yur iTunes account looked at your puchase history for purchases thant y might have forgotton?
- Maybe you had an unpaid balance before redeeming the card.

When I plug my iPod into the computer, itunes won't come up on the screen and my iPod is not recognized anymore and it use to be. Please help because I can't sync it at all because it won't show up as a device on the right hand side of itunes.

my iphone is able to charge when i connect it to my computor, but no matter what i do, will not show up on itunes. i have tried resetting both the computer and the iphone and nothing is working.

when syncing with itunes, got error message saying had error and now ipad2 will not do anything other than showing the USB cable with arrow pointing to Itunes on screen. have done the reset and restart, but still get same thing. Ipad does not show up in itunes even though cable plugged in. Have shut down and restarted Windows 7 computer.
I had done all of that to no avail. I did call Apple Tech Support and after he suggested I try a USB port in the rear of the Win 7 computer, things starting working again. I had tried switching the USB port at the front of the machine but that had not helped. Everything is good to go again. thanks for your reply

I just got my a new iphone 4 from O2. i plugged in my phone to my computer(windows 7). itunes doesnt open automatically. when i opened the itunes,its still not detecting my phone. on the phone it only shows the cable and itunes logo. please help

I dropped my iPhone 5 and it doesn't turn on it just shows the apple and says to plug into iTunes.. then i restore it and it says error , what do i do to get my phone to turn on fully ?See if this helps: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#USB

The iPhone 4S comes automatically loaded with iOS 5, and any updates after iOS 5.0 can be completed directly from on the phone in Settings > General > Software Update. If you are having trouble using iTunes to update software, I suggest you reset iTunes so that you can pair your phone to the computer again, because if you can't see the serial number and capacity, that generally means your phone isn't paired. For any problems this doesn't fix, please contact Apple directly through their automated help line, 1(800)MYAPPLE. -
I have downloaded a TV episode of itunes but it is only showing the HD version. How do I get the SD version to play on my ipod?
When buying HD versions of shows, only the HD copy will automatically download now (probably due to requests from people who don't need/want the SD version and complained about it being forced on them). The SD copy can be downloaded from your purchases area in iTunes. On the main iTunes Store page, go to Purchases under the Quick Links and then select TV shows. Click the "Not On This Computer" button. Uncheck the "Download HD when available" box and you should then see the SD copies of the shows and be able to download them.
