My MacBook Air's fan is buzzing like crazy and it won't accept charge. System Preferences says I don't have any battery percentage but my computer is still on and working. What do I do?!

If you are running 10.6.8 as shown in your profile, there is no recovery option as that did not become available until 10.7. So you would need your install disks or a bootable clone to boot from. You can usually get replacement disks from Apple; however, you would need to give them your serial number so they send the correct disks.

On my Mac Mini, I keep getting this error message: "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server". I don't have any problems with iCloud on my laptop / PC. It works fine... Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Your Mac must be on Lion (10.7) to run iCloud. Apple had to change the operating system to fully support it. Nevertheless, it is possible to get emails from iCloud without having Lion. Please tell me if this interests you.

My husband just got me an iPad2 for Mothers day and today when I tried to sign on to it it said I do not have a cellular data network? I'm at work where we have Wi-fi. Can't I just use that to sign onto my webmail and to get onto the internet?
If you are in a wi-fi only area, then you need to join a wi-fi network. Does your office have wi-fi? Has the Admin given you the iformation to join the wi-fi network?
To join a wi-fi network...
1. Go to Settings/Wi-Fi
2. Tap Other...
3. Enter the name of your wi-fi network
4 Tap Security
5. Tap the type of security the network uses and return to Wi-Fi
6. Enter the password and tap Join -
Firefox says I don't have privileges to upgrade, but I'm an "administrator" on my Mac. What do I do?
I have upgraded to newer versions of firefox on this computer several time before and never had this problem. I don't know what privileges I need or how to get them.
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop

Tried to download Firefox 4.0. Window where I drag icon to applications folder has a line and a circle over the Firefox. when I attempt to drag it to the folder, it says there is a newer version already there and do I want to replace it. When I replaced it with your new download a window came up that said I don't have the proper architecture to run this. I am using Mac 10.5.8. Please fix this! I was given an App Store gift card (I don't have any devices for apps; I'm just an iTunes/music gal) what to do?
No gift receipt given with card; don’t feel right telling the person “thanks but this is wrong.” Especially since the nature of the thank you gift is from an emotional event for the gift giver.
My assumption is that if I attempt to redeem the App Store gift card that iTunes will apply it to a separate "ledger" for apps only and I will NOT be able to purchase music with the gift money.
I did not do what I did for this person with the thought of "oooh what I can I get in return?" I did it because I felt like it.Yep, exactly. When you go to buy any of the iTunes Store cards in the Apple Store, they say "All cards work on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store. ". So it's just labeling, something which confuses a lot of people.

All the add-ons I had installed for the version 3+++ still working at the version 7, but the problem is that the extensions page in the add-ons manager is blank except a sentence that says "You don't have any add-ons of this type installed"

If any apps do not see the camera try other Mac User Accounts (create one if required).
IF that does not seem to get any app to see the camera check the System Profiler. (Should be under Hardware > USB)

You can keep both, just enter the one you want to use on your phone by going to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in with the other ID. Otherwise you'll have to keep using the ID tied to your credit card. You can contact iTunes store support here: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html to ask them what minimum balance is required to download free apps.

This card isn't a Champion like you suggested. And with my complete lack of knowledge, I don't know what I/O dri've bay means. But since it is PCI and the decoder matches the number you gave me, this card should be adequete, right?
Whether it works or not, my search indicated it might be very hard for me to find that card (or any PCI card for that matter). Everything I saw was out of stock. I know this is a forum for Creative, but are there any other manufacturers that will allow me to accomplish my goal, either with current cards, or discontinued cards? Thanks again

Why does my Macbook Air make a single buzz/beep every time I open it or turn it on? It doesn't happen after again after the initial buzz. If I open it after it has been sleeping, it starts up and then there is a buzz. This has only happened since I downloaded iOS Maverick.
Beeps on startup:
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images.
5 beeps = processor is not usable

Hey, I'm planning on getting a 11" MacBook air with a 2GB RAM, 64GB HDD and OS X Lion. I am also going to get a 500GB external HDD with it and I would just like to know if it would be good to run Xcode or eclipse on it so I can code C++? Nope, I tried the Pacifist route after applying the combo update.
It does sound as if webkit is busted at the moment.
