My new mini freezes at welcome page on setup, have tried all 3 ways to reboot with no luck
This is new out of the box
I can't get past the welcome chose a country page ...it just beeps when I hit return
Hi, sorry to hear.
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there.
Then maybe re-install from there.

Using I Pod NANO. Installed I Tunes on Windows 7 Pro, 64 Bit.
Software works fine. Only problem is that I can't open up the
Store page from in the software. It just shows a blank screen.
Looks like it starts but then just freezes.
IT department worked all day. Reloaded software, set up
security, checked msconfig files. Tried all sorts or revissions.
Nothing works? Yet it works fine on my Windows 7 Home edition?
ANYONE have a clue. This Apple software is not the friendliest!!

This used to work. Upgraded to 10.3.3.. No good. Tried other revisions,
No Good! Can't purchase music or have the website fully pull up at all

I have tried every method I've found on Mozilla threads from modifying the profile.ini file to merging the profile folders, etc. I have the original Thunderbird profile (including all folders, inbox, sent items etc) on the original hard drive that is set up as a secondary hard drive (E:) in the new computer.
No matter what I try, I can't get Thunderbird to pick up that old profile. I've uninstalled and re-installed T-Bird nearly a dozen times now (and deleted the folders from the AppData folders) to try to get it to pick up the original profile.
Any suggestions????Create a new profile and copy the old one over it.

Re-installing Thunderbird is a complete waste of time. It won't do anything to your profile. -
I just downloaded the new OSX 10.8.3 operating system, and now my e-mails are stuck in the outbox. I've tried to send various ways with no luck. Help!
Does the new IOS 8 and instagram only allow pictures taken with the phone? as I can still choose from those, just not the ones I upload/save.
I don't know about instagram, but apps, that not yet have been upgraded to iOS8 can only access the photos that appear in the "Recently Added" album, because there is no longer a Camera Roll.
As a work-around, try to create an album of the photos you want to share to instagram. For other apps this helped to make photos accesible. -
I am not able to create a new tab, eventhough i have tried all ways to do it.
Normally the existing (current) tab has at the end an "+", and that gives you the option to make a new tab to the right. My Firefox tab does not have the "+", and I'm not able to create a new tab for another link. The new tab option is not working on my Mozilla internet browser.
Use Hotkey CTRL + T to Open a Blank Tab. Do the following too:
go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. You can enable the Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working. -
Hias anyone had their iphone 4 completely die on them? Mine won't switch on, I have tried using the power key with the home key, tried connecting it via usb cable to itunes, tried new battery- nothing has worked. The phone is just 2 yrs old this month, and I haven't dropped it or anything. I have never had a phone break on me before in almost 20 yrs of having mobile phones- I've had to resort to using a 7 yr old Nokia, which I used to love but it's not the same as my iphone!!
If you have attempted the reset, which is holding the home button and sleep/wake button, was it still connected to the computer? Have you tried to do that when not connected. You stated it never came on, how long did you hold the buttons together? If you cannot get it to connect to iTunes then you would not be able to restore the device. You can see if you can put the device into Recovery Mode by following the instructions in this support document. If that does not work, then you are correct, make an appointment at the Apple Store. Hi, I've setup my new mini ipad today, restored a backup from icloud and all is fine. However, when I try to download my music, they almost completely download then an error message pops up saying "unable to download songs" - can anyone help please?
So it appears iCloud/iTunes Match isn't the issue - the error message would seem to be complaining about where the music is being downloaded to. So with this in mind:
In iTunes select Preferences and select Advanced. The iTunes media folder should be set to /Users/<your account>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music. <your account> would be whatever your user account is. If you see something else there I'd guessing it is a folder you don't have permission to write to. -

Two weeks ago we bought a mini iPad in New York. In New York, we have also taken into use cases. The mini ipad disposal was connected to the mac computer of my son, who lives there. We have not made backup. At home in the Netherlands, we wanted this case for charging on the Windows computer, that we have at home. Immediately, the itunes program was activated (we had a few years an ipod in the house). Appears in the computer the message that you can register. Cases I tried that. I do not know if I did succeeded. There also were some choices of settings. So I made the mistake of choosing the setting to use movies as I recall.
That same afternoon comes on the ipod in the message screen that he can connect to the server no contact. WIFI contact fails. The ipad is happening the same. The computer still works fine with the wifi connection. Both Apple devices have done well yesterday here in the Netherlands.
Please give me a good advice?Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all videos and resync
- Reset all settings

Set "hot corner" to put iMac to sleep. Doesn't work. Selecting the corner will momentarily put to sleep, but immediately rewakes. Have tried all four corners with same result. Have tried with wireless mouse and with corded mouse with same result. Any ideas as to how to fix?
You've been so great, I want to thank you for all the help over a very frustrating day. Last evening, I redownloaded and installed the fresh copy of Mountain Lion. The problem remained. After installing the new OS 10.8, any clicks on a web page (Firefox browser) didn't open the page, but instead made a copy of the page on the desktop. Felt it must be hardware degrading, so I set up a case with Apple support for today. Early in the diagnostics, I had swapped out for a corded mouse and the problem remained. As a last try, I changed out my wireless mouse for a different wireless mouse. That seems to have done the trick. My Logitech mouse is incompatible with OS 10.8.

keep getting error message saying ipod detected but could not be identified properly - I have tried all the steps on the support page twice and it still will not work! I am running windows 8 (which it has worked with ok before) - struggling
I recently bought some new albums and can't play them on my ipodI just encountered the same problem on my 2 month old MBPro. I found a work around by changing USB ports. As for the actual cause or the reason why that worked, I dont know. The USB port I was using works fine with my phone or other USB devices.

Firefox does not prompt to save my tabs nor does it bring them back when it reopens. It does not even bring up my home page. I have tried the suggested fixes in the help section. This still happens in safe mode so I tried disabling plugins etc. - no change.

I did step 2 in the "iDVD: Setting Encoding preferences" but my computer isn't giving me the pop-up in step 3 so i can't push an OK button in regards to the message. I waited 15+ hours for it to burn and it sent me to this page. I have tried to change the encoding settings again, and it adjusts the capacity but no message pop-up appears.
You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:
(1) Page Info > Permissions tab
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Permissions
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Permissions
(2) about:permissions
In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' and press Enter. Allow a few moments for the list on the left to populate, as this information needs to be extracted from a database.
Then type or paste ''rcn''' in the search box above the list to filter it to the most relevant domains. When you highlight a domain, you can adjust its permissions in the right pane.

I am having serious issues trying to alter my old iCloud account with an old non-functioning email to my new apple id with a new email address. The message keeps coming up on all my apple products with my old email (which is not available anymore).
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?
