  • Help: on how to transfer my contacts from my old nokia to my new BB

    hi again community...
i have a new BB 8900 and i'm having problems  transfering my contacts from my old nokia  to my new BB... what can i do?
i have my contacts in my PC in the file "contacts" but i dont know what to do with them and how to put them in my BB i tried to put them in outlook but i don;t know how to do that either...tomorrow my sim is about to be activated add i have none of my contacts inside the BB...i need help guys...

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
A few things to discuss...so bear with me...
    1) Contrary to how others do things, RIM does not provide a desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a conduit software that functions as a bridge between your chosen PIM and the BB. See this KB for compatible PIM's:
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
    2) RIM provides a Device Switch Wizard to migrate from another SmartPhone to a BB...but only for compatible devices. See this KB:
KB05459 How to use the Switch Device Wizard to switch from another smartphone to a BlackBerry smartphone
    3) If your old device is not compatible with the wizard, then RIM further provides the ability to import from ASCII and CSV files. See this KB:
KB04312 Create and synchronize with an ASCII export file
KB11194 How to import contacts from an CSV file to the BlackBerry device
Sorry, but RIM provides no assistance on how to get your data out of your old device and into the ASCII or CSV format...that's a function of your old device.
So, your choice is, IMO, to keep using a desktop PIM to manage your data (and you should, IMO)...then choose a compatible PIM (from above). Then, get your data out of your old device and into the desktop PIM. Then, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:
KB17022 How to configure organizer applications for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Good luck and let us know!

  • How do I transfer contacts from my old Nokia phone to my new iPhone?

Please how do I transfer Contacts from old Nokia N8 to my new iPhone 4S?
    Yes there is,
Download and install Nokia Suite for your PC. After installation, go to "tools" in the top menu and click on "options". The Options window should open up. on the left side select "contacts" and then under "sync with contacts application", select "Windows Contacts". After this click on "ok".
Connect your Nokia C3-00 to the computer with Nokia Suite still open. Your phone will show up in the application. Move mouse cursor over the contacts square on the left of the application window, and then click "sync". Wait for the sync to finish. Disconnect the Nokia phone.
Download and install iTunes. Connect your iphone. from this application you will be given an option to import contacts from Windows contacts. This should give you all the contacts.

  • Hi, how do I download acrobat professional 7?  I can't find a link for Mac. I reinstalled CS2 (as my old G4 Powerbook needed reinstalling), but it didn't install instal Acrobat or Distiller.  Adobe don't seem to have any contact mechanism.

Hi, how do I download the replace CS2 acrobat professional 7?  I can't find a link for Mac. I reinstalled CS2 from adobe (as my old G4 Powerbook needed reinstalling), but it didn't install instal Acrobat or Distiller.  Adobe don't seem to have any contact mechanism.
I put my old acrobat back onto my machine (from a backup made before reformatting) but it wants the box serial number.  when I did that however, the replacement CS2 photoshop, etc, wouldn't work, so I had to install it again, but then, you guessed it - acrobat won't work again.

    Hello Alan,
Acrobat 7 is older version. Refer below link for more information and how to download.
Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3
Adobe has made earlier versions available for customer's convenience.
Hope all will go well !!

  • How do I import contacts from an old nokia phone into an iPhone?

I was wondering if anyone knew how I could import a .CSV file containing 79 contacts "<First Name><Last Name><Phone Number>" into an iPhone 4S and have those fields populate into the "Contacts" folder of the iPhone?
I basically have an ancient Nokia that has all my contacts in it. The teenager with a lip ring was unable to import my contact because they were missing cable 102 for their little import/export device. And if I am going to have to manually key in all my contacts, I'd rather do it on an Excel Spreadsheat and save it as a .CSV file than sit there for 2 hours going bling typing into an iPhone.
Anyone have a solution for this?

You should be able to import the CSV file into a contact program such as Outlook and then sync that to the iPhone.

I have my landline diverting to my iPhone. However, it does not distinguish whether the call has come from my diverted landline number. My old Nokia many years ago used to show an arrow symbol when it was a call thats source was diverted. I really need to know when a call has come from my landline so I can greet the caller in the appropriate way and also so I can be sufficiently short as I am getting charged for the call from my BT landline to my mobile.

That is not a feature that's available on the iPhone. Sorry.

  • Still need my old Nokia for one last important function

The iPhone is a great replacement for my old Nokia E62/T-Mobile, but there's still one must-have feature that's apparently missing on the iPhone before I can give up my old phone.
I connect my MacBook via bluetooth to my Nokia as a gateway for unlimited GPRS internet access. I use it all the time when traveling.
Anyone know of a way to possibly do this using an iPhone?

    Not currently possible.
HOWEVER, you can fairly cheaply buy an EDGE data card (at least in PC Card form factor - not sure what you'd do with a MacBook, but I bet they exist as USB dongles). You could then swap the SIM card from your iPhone out and put it in the data card. It would be using the same account and calling plan, so unless AT&T is running some very sneaky checks on what is using the data, that would work fine. I used to do this with my T-Mobile Blackberry SIM when I had a Blackberry that wouldn't tether properly to a Mac.

  • Nokia 6133 - Transferring data with broken screen?

I clumsily dropped my phone last week and broke the screen. The phone is still operational, but the screen is totally worthless. I'm trying to copy my text messages and contacts from my broken phone to my new phone - but unfortunately neither were saved on the SIM card. The guy at the cell store plugged it into a reader, but it asks him to select settings for mass transfer, and since the screen is broken, he doesn't know which buttons to press or how to select the right settings.
Does anyone know what the correct key stroke combinations would be to copy the texts/contacts? Or know of somewhere I could find screen shots of the process? I'd love to be able to rescue my old info.
    Thanks!

I have this exact same problem!
Can anyone with the Nokia 6133 take pictures of the screens progressing towards the mass transfer option?  Or even just typing out a solution would be really helpful.  I would be eternally grateful.
    Thanks!

  • Problems exporting contacts

Hi guys.  I have a P1i and can't seem to export my phonebook contacts from this phone to an external source like a PC or new phone (Nokia).  Can you guys help me out.  Thanks.

I used to be able export my contacts from my old nokia using this method:
    1. Go to contacts
    2. Go to "options"
    3. Select "Mark All"
    4. Go to "Options"
    5. Select "Send to"
    6. Select "Bluetooth"
    7. Select device
    8. Send
It used to work and I would have all the contacts sent to my PC as .vcf files or business cards when sent to another nokia phone.  From my PC I could then send the contacts to my P1i.
But it doesn't seem to wok the other way around.

  • Transfer SMS from old Nokia to iPhone through SIM

    Hi all,
I need to transfer some important SMSs (text messages) from my old Nokia N73 phone to my new iPhone 3G v2.1. I have been able to copy them onto my SIM card (I am on O2 in the UK) but cannot get these off the SIM and onto the iPhone (although I know there is an option for this for phonebook contacts)?
Is there any way to do this please?
FYI I do not have a Mac, but a PC running Windows XP.

Sorry to add this to an existing question - but might be another way round if an answer can be found!
I have moved some old SMS to PC Nokia suit and I want to move them to my new 3G iphone - anyone any ideas how this can be done?

  • How to export contacts, calendar, notes from outlook 2013 for mac to out 2013 PC

I have been unsucessful with syncing my iPhone5 and iPad Air (both are iOS7).  My MS Outllok 2013 is installed on my iMac (Maverick).  My iMac is dualt booted with Windows 7 and Maverick operating systems.
I visited my local Apple store and was told that I would need to export my contacts, calendar, notes etc to a thumb drive and import to my Windows-based MS Office 2013.  Well, I tried to do that but discovered when you go to export on the Mac side and option to export to .csv is not an option.  The one an only option is ".olm"
How do I accomplish exporting my contacts, calendar, notes to a thumb drive and is able to import on the PC side?  Not to fond of the fact that I have a brand new iMac and is unable to sync my iphone and iPad Air.  This *****!!

Well, there actually is... syncing through Link to Outlook is one way.
The way I described is easier.

  • How to export contacts and change vcf to csv file

I need to export the contacts so I can make updates and import them into my marketing system. iCloud exports in only ,vcf, which cannot be imported anywhere I can find.( that is the entire file, not one contact at a time)  I am very frustrated and don't understand Apple using this format for exporting.Every other application I can think of uses .csv and none takes .vcf for import.
    Help!

You might want to try an app that can export in CSV format, like My Contacts Backup.

  • Export Contacts to Address Book

How do I export my contacts in "Contacts" to another computer running the old "Address Book"?
I export the Contacts Archive and it creates a "folder" with the file ending  ".abbu". I transfer this "folder" to the my old computer using "Address Book", but it does not recognize the files.
Everytime I double click the "folder" it ask... "Are you sure you want to replace your Contacts data with the contacts in “Contacts - 07-11-2013.abbu”?"
I double click the "folder" and none of my new "contacts" or "groups" are transferred to "Address Book".
    Thank you...

Export as Vcard with the extension .vcf.  That should be compatible with the older Address Book.
