I used to be able to go all day without charging my phone but now I have to charge it like every two hours and as a college student who also works. I go most of my day with a dead phone. Does anyone know how to make your battery last longer?

Maybe the problem is not your MB Air......
Try these:
Make sure bluetooth is turned off if you're not using it.
Set your screen brightness to 4 bars.
See what's loading in your login items. Delete the ones you don't need.
Open Activity Monitor - under All Processes see what's using most of your CPU's resources.
Highlight the ones with the highest %CPU and hit quit process.
Remember that when Apple says that your battery should last 7 hours, they tested it just browsing the web and not have anything open in the background and screen is set at 50% brightness.

Any suggestions on how to fix it? I've tried it all. I called the apple support and they checked on their iPads. They all did the same and they couldn't help me. They suggested trying this way. I'd like to be able to plan a few years ahead and the year view would make thing so easy!

Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
Then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

There is free software you can download that gives you a graphical image of what files are used on your hard drive. http://www.derlien.com/
This may help you clean down your hard drive for more space.

Thanks, but, using the "free" version of Reader, there is no opportunity to open nor import the xml data - the menu options do not exist - there is no import listed.
If we try to open the xml file directly, then we get an error - something to the effect of "unsupported file type, or the file is corrupted".
I just noticed in my Pro version that there is the command File ->Form Data ->Import Data to Form... command. Is this what you are referring to?
What do you recommend? Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to purchase a few copies of Acrobat Pro for the reservations people to use? I was hoping that the free version of reader would do it, but perhaps not?

Adobe web chat come up with a solution.
Open the PP project.
Export your sequence or project as a Final Cut Pro XML file.
Set up a new PP project.
Import the Final Cut Pro XML file.
This will get you back up an running.
Since getting back to editing this project I have found that some things will be lost or change in using XML:
You will lose position key framing, black video clips, dissolve fx, audio levels, audio dynamic fx, the ability to open a multi camera clip and change the camera view.
You will keep cut points, crop fx.
Not perfect but only took a couple of hours to save 3 days work.

Can I make a DVD that will go for more than two hours?

Hi,
I'm working in iDVD 08, version 7.0.1, and when I drop in video that lasts over an hour, I get a warning. The original videos are around 100 MB for each hour, and iDVD won't let me add more than two. It's saying my two 100 MB videos will fill the 4.2 GB of space on the DVD.
What can I do to have the videos stay at around 100 MB each, so I can put several of them on one DVD?
Any help is most appreciated.

iDVD isn't really designed to archive old highly compressed movie files.
DV video (for which iDVD was originally designed) runs about 13 GB per hour and iDVD mpg-2 compresses everything to fit a maximum of 120 minutes on a single-layer disc. (Your files are much more highly compressed than DV and perhaps are also smaller in image size.)
If you want to 'cram' a lot more content on a DVD (and don't care about the quality) you might want to look at VisualHub that claims to let you put up to 18 hours of content on a disc.

OSS doesn't play more than 1 sound at the same time [SOLVED]

I use OSS to replace ALSA, it used to work properly here. Today I noticed that I can't play more than one sound at the same time, something which I used to be able to do.
Also, ossxmix doesn't operate properly (I can't control the volume of a specific program).
Looks like a permissions issue, because /dev/dsp and /dev/oss are created as root and other users get Permission Denied.
Any ideas how to fix it? My sound card is an AC'97 onboard.

EDIT: Solved by pacman -R oss, rm -rf /usr/lib/oss then pacman -S oss. Seems to have worked.

Hello Angela,
Have you tried resetting the iPod yet to see if that makes a difference? To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If that doesn't work, a restore of the iPod via iTunes may be in order.

HT4528 I have no battery life in my iphone 5 since the iOS 7 upgrade. I have completed all suggestions to help increase the battery power and now I can't use my phone more than 4 hours without the battery dying. What is the solution?

I have no batter in my iphone 5 since upgrading to ios7. I have talked with verizon techinical support and completed all suggestions to maintain the battery. And by the way, these suggestions are annoying and limit phone use as well as require you to close out each application after use, also turning off wi-fi and blue tooth. I don't need this phone if I can't use the features for which it was purchased! Any ideas? Is there a fix coming soon for the battery? Can I return my iphone for my old droid?

Hi! I don't what's happened for your phone but, you can have more battery life with turning of Wifi, decries brightness, turn off location service and etc. also you shold use less Free+Much Ads apps becuase they use more battery than paid apps normaly.

The app is compressed and needs swap space to install. As a rule of thumb you need 3 times the listed size of the app available, or in your case 4.6GB. You only have 1.7GB.

Every time i try and update my ipod touch 4th gen. it satrts to back it up and then more than an hour later it hasnt moved and their is no show of progress. my computer and itunes are up to date. please help.

Well, the problem isn't the back up because I already have a backup saved that I can restore from, I honestly don't know how, but I do, and it has all my apps. The problem is restoring it. I keep getting the "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod "King". A duplicate file name was specified. With my 3G iPod touch, I did not have it named as "King". I had it as another name. I don't know if that helps, but as I said before, Backup-wise I'm okay for now. Restore-wise I'm not.
NOTE: Reinstalling iTunes doesn't help.
