Welcome to the HP Forums FaizzyAhmed,
I see by your post that the printer prints from print sharing on one computer but not the computer which it is connected to. I can help you with this issue.
I have provided a document to go through the steps to see if it will help resolve this issue.
Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it.
If you need further assistance, let me know.
Have a nice day!
Thank You.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We're users here and do not speak for "Apple Inc." or "Kyocera Inc."
    http://usa.kyoceradocumentsolutions.com/americas/jsp/upload/resource/25359/0/Mac Driver3SoftwareGuide1.1.pdf
On the printer driver documentation, Page 5, in the Imaging setting, although the options are not specifically shown, there should be an option on that screen of the print driver to click and select "B/W" or 'black and white' or 'grayscale' or 'monochrome' as Print Mode rather than the "Full Color" option shown in the illustration below.
You access these settings once you have selected 'Print' from an app.
If necessary, you might need to click on the 'Down arrow' button next to the printer name (OS X 10.6), or 'Show Details' button at the bottom of the print dialog box (OS X 10.8) to see additional settings.

  • Google Print works only with personal laptop connected to network

Hi, I have three printers under my HP Connected account (Officejet Pro 8600, Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, and a Officejte Pro 8100) and I am able to print to them fine from my computer (a MAC laptop).
The access for all three is "open to anyone" and I also listed specific e-mail addresses too of family members to use these printers.
The only way that my kids (all using chromebooks and google print for school) can use these printers is if mine is on the network.  If my computer is off/sleeping, the printer shows up as "offline."  Print jobs are put into a queue, and when mine is turned on and hops on the network, the jobs print.
The problem is I'm not always home!  I travel quite a bit, and they're at home unable to print.
This has been frustrating me to no end!!!  Is there a setting that I'm missing?

All I can suggest at this time is to have the Chromebooks forward the prints to the printer's ePrint Email address, thus bypassing the Google Cloud Print. I do know now, nor have access to the means for deleting a printer from Google Cloud Print.
You will be best suited to speak with Google regarding that. I hope you don't feel as though I am "passing the buck", but I can not locate any more information that could help. Please let us know here if Google is able to re-setup the Cloud Print.

  • After I upgrade to maverick I cannot longer use my scanner (Epson Aculaser cx17). Now it works only as printer

After I upgrade to maverick I cannot longer use my scanner (Epson Aculaser cx17). Now it works only as printer. Does some one else have a similar problem?
    With Lion worked very well.

The scanner is not amongst the scanners Apple supports on 10.6 through 10.9:
OS X: Printer and scanner software available for download
Now it could use another scanner's engine, thus supporting the driver.  It could also support the TWAIN preference in Preview application.
It could also show up in Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Print and Scan.
If none of that helps, look at my FAQ*:

  • Cannot print with a Samsung ML2160 printer (mono laser) and Pages. Print function doesn't work, only drag and drop in printer's queue

    Hello,
I just purchased a Samsung ML2160 printer and it doesn't work with nor my Pages program, nor the Preview (to print PDF). No matter the way I tried, the Print function doesn't work and I cannot neither print or even enter the printer preferrences menu! My MacBook Pro has worked before with other printers, but now with the Samsung it doesn't work at all... Though, if I drag and drop a document, jpg, pdf in the printer queue, it prints just fine, but that method gives me absolutely no freedom to the printing... Could it be something from the Computer -> Machintosh HD -> Library -> Printers? Because a friend of mine was recently trying to save me some disk space, and therefore erasing part of the HP printer (to remove the previous printer I owned)...
If anyone has any idea, that would be much appreciated
    Thank you in advance

Do the sensible thing, as you say neither Preview nor Pages print, try other programs eg TextEdit. If none of them print then it is a System problem and very likely the printer drivers are AWOL or were never installed.
Go to Samsung's website and download their software for the Mac:

  • Print Preview is no longer working. Windows pops and then closes.

The Print Preview function no longer works. Clicking Print Preview results in
    (1) a small window pops open in the middle of the screen then disappears
    (2) then a large window opens (to preview the content as it once did)
    (3) then the new windows disappears (shrinks out of sight) and apparently dies
    (4) "Print previewing message..." appears in the status bar until the cursor is moved off the page.
In case it also isn't working, the system information includes:

  • ThinClient t5745 unable to print via LaserJet p1005

We just bought a HP ThinClient t5745 at my job to use mainly for printing out some sort of worksheets. We already have a LaserJet p1005 so we wanted to use that as the printer. It is possible in the setup to find the driver for the printer and it is also able to detect whether the printer is on or off BUT it will not print. The ThinClient says it is "processing" and some seconds after it says "online - idle" at the printer's status.
I have tried to print via a network printer we also have (a HP Color LaserJet CM6040 MFP) and it works perfectly. The p1005 do just fine on a Windows computer.
I hope anyone can help me out. Thanks.
    Best regards,

  • More Printing Problems - 3 Macs, one works, two don't

I just started having problems printing to my Apple LaserWriter 12/640 PS printer the other day. I think it started when I added a Vonage phone connection to my network, but odd things were happening before that, and I need some advise.
    I have three computers:
    G5 PowerPC
    and two Intel MacBooks.
I was having problems a while ago with the AppleTalk and the first Intel MacBook, so I switched it to IPP printing, and it has worked fine since.
When I got the second MacBook from work, I tried to set the printing with the same configuration - everything is exactly the same, same IP address, same printer name etc. But this second MacBook doesn't want to print.
Now the G5 is giving me the same problem.
I send and get a "Connecting to 192.168.1.110 on port 631..." message (on both the problem computers) in the printer window, and the blue candy cane does it's thing, and eventually I get a "Unable to connect to IPP host: Operation timed out" message.
I tried opening the Terminal and going and entering "telnet 192.168.1.110"
I enter my password, and can print a test page from both the G5 and the second MacBook, with no problem. So the computer is seeing the printer some how, I just can't send from any other application.
I've given up on AppleTalk, none of my computers can connect to the printer that way. (at least not anymore)
I don't want to suspect the Vonage connection, because the G5 is connected directly to the printer via my router, the MacBooks to the printer via an AirPort also connected directly to the router. And since one is working, I would think the others would as well.
The only other thing that I'm seeing that is confusing is that the IP addresses for each printer is slightly different:
    G5: 192.168.15.2
MacBook 1 (the one that prints): 192.168.1.103
    MacBook 2: 192.168.1.104
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Please tell us the IP addresses of all computers and the settings in network prefs. You need to be our eyes and ears here - give us details, please.

    IP Address: 192.168.1.104
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Router: 192.168.1.1
Just to help us understand - did you previously set the wireless computers' IP addresses manually, to be in the subnet range of the printer, so you could print?
No - if I understand you correctly. The IP Addresses of the two MacBooks are set automatically. (I believe from the AirPort)
I did - at one point - set the IP Address of the Printer because the first MacBook, my first Intel machine, was not seeing the printer with AppleTalk. I went to the forum, and was given instructions on how to do this using the Apple Laserwriter Utility in Classic. (This was a while ago - March. I just looked back at the postings and it was your responses that solved my problem. thanks)
When I got a second Intel MacBook (from work) I had problems using the same settings to connect to the printer until I tried your solution of connecting via Line Printer Daemon - LPD. That worked until I changed the subnet settings of the printer to try to match the IP Address of the G5.
I think my mistake was to change the subnet number rather than the IP number in the Terminal. I can no longer see the printer from any of the computers, using the Terminal or any other method that I know of.
Hope this helps to troubleshoot, I appreciate the advice and help.

  • E4200 - PCs don't see each other and printer on USB port not working

    I been around tech all my life. Acquired by MS when they had only 2000 employees. I don't get excited about tech. Its a tool to help you do something better, excluding games. I had the linksys wrt54... with booster antennas. Worked great, but could not reach one room, the furthest away. Even though I retired 10 years ago I do some private work for fun. I was required to change from 16bit WEP to WPA. My WRT54 just missed the cut off so I went and bought the best home product they had;
*I have 8 computers and connecting them was time consuming *The computers with same settings don't all see each other. The printer port USB off the hub is a great idea if it worked. They have an upgrade to fix this but ever time I try to install the firmware it fails.
    This product has...
    Fast connection
    Short range
    Reliable connection

In reference to the issue that you are facing I would like to recommend you few things.
For computers to see each other on the network and to share information they have to be in the same work group, file sharing should be enabled on all the computers and they have to be in the same network. If you are still facing issues, try to disable the firewall on the computers.
As far as your printer is concerned, I would like to know whether you are trying to install the printer with the help of cisco connect, if yes, then please try to upgrade the latest version of cisco connect and then follow the link below.

  • Some colors in the HP tri-color cartridges dry up and stop working only a few weeks after purchase

    HP Deskjet 4180
Genuine HP Tri-Color #22 ink cartridge and Black #21 ink cartridge
    Windows 7
Test printing from Photoshop, Windows Picture Viewer and GIMP.
Some colors in the HP tri-color cartridges dry up and stop working only a few weeks after purchase.
The experience that I'm having currently contradicts very good, accurate color from HP cartridges in the past from RGB images that I've printed successfully with this printer.  I've previously got excellent color from the true HP ink cartridges on this Deskjet 4180 printer.
But today it is obvious that the yellow is not flowing from this cartridge that was installed only a few weeks ago.  And my ink levels are at 50 percent, and they were even higher when I started today... see the screenshots below.
I'm printing from Photoshop, but for some tests I tried printing from two other applications today but I'm always getting these results that indicate that there is no yellow printing... this is much worse than just a bad color profile.  I'm an experienced photo retoucher and I have a long history of dealing with inkjet printing in the work place with all kinds of printers.
I know that inks can dry up in their cartridges if they don't get printed with every few weeks and if the printer isn't maintained.  I purchased these new cartridges only about three weeks ago and the first test prints and some prints two weeks ago came out perfect.
But today this is the result I'm getting... screenshots below show the original RGB image and an actual scan of the bad print results I'm getting, indicating that no yellow is flowing from the HP tri-color cartridge.  And a screenshot of the ink level indicator panel is at the bottom.
Why is the yellow ink drying up and not flowing so quickly?  How can I prevent this besides doing semi-weekly prints to keep the inks from drying up?  I'm in a fairly humid climat, so dry air is not the problem.  The contact points on the cartridge are clean.
Does HP guarantee their cartridges for this kind of thing?
Good color - original RGB image...
Bad color - actual scan of bad print with no yellow, below...
    Ink levels after test printing...
    Thanks for any help.
    digi

Well, here is the answer I was looking for, only arrived at by way of my own further investigation and experimentation.
It seems that no matter who I asked about this problem, I always got the same questions and answers.
For example, the people at the HP 800 number for consumer help, where it seemed I was not talking to someone who was actually familiar with the product, because they came to the conclusion that I need to buy a new HP printer... wow, isn't that a big surprise for an HP employee to say, "Just buy a new one!".
No one, and I mean no one, would seem to be able to listen to or understand what I wrote in my original question on this thread about how this printer prints fine when I first put in a new ink cartridge, and then just a few weeks later one or two of the colors seem to be dried up and they won't print.
And it seems that somewhere I read that you need to print a test maintenance print every month or so to keep the inks from drying up... but the inks seem to be drying up in less than three weeks now, even though I used to be able to go for months without doing a print and the inks would still be fine.
So when I was talking to someone in India, Malaysia or the Philippines at the HP 800 customer phone support number, after going through so much crap about whether this printer was still in warranty just to have a simple question answered you'd think I was trying to launch nuclear missiles and my launch codes weren't current.
And it was much the same situation to get on HP's "Live Chat" customer service on the net, and then they'd go through the same line of questions and answers as the support people on the HP 800 phone line...
Q: "Do you have dirty nozzles on your ink cartridges?"
A: "No, like I said in my original statement, I cleaned those and they weren't dirty to begin with."
Response: "Because you need to clean those every so often, you know."
Q: "Did you try cleaning the contacts on the cartridges?"
A: "Yes, like I said in my original statement, I already did that."
Response: "Because you need to clean those contacts every so often, you know."
Q: "Did you try putting in a new cartridge?"
A: "Yes, like I said in my original statement, this cartridge is nearly new and it shows a 90% ink level."
Response: "Because you need to put in new cartridges when the ink runs out, you know."
Q: "Did you do a test print?"
A: "Yes, like I said in my original statement, I did a test print and that's what is telling me that the yellow and magenta are not printing any longer."
Response: "Because that's how you can tell if any colors aren't printing, you know."
So is anyone else seeing a pattern here?  It's not like I'm talking or live chatting with a real human being, but maybe an automated voice prompt system that only has an A, B, C   or   1, 2, 3   type of response system that it's working from.
The people hear a answer, and regardless of what that question was in the troubleshooting category that they are in, they just have a stock response that seems to bypass what the customer's answer was, so it's like I'm talking or live chatting with a machine that is uttering its responses in a fixed pattern, regardless of what I'm saying.
HP customer service is like talking to someone who isn't listening, so often they ask their next question, but I just answered that question with my previous answer.
Like I said, the way it used to be, HP or even after market ink cartridges could sit for months without doing a maintenance print and I would still get a perfect print every time.  And that's pretty typical for maybe an older person who isn't printing prints that often, but they just want to print one every few months or so, like my mom, with her HP printer, who I've been troubleshooting this problem for.
Or even with my own large format Epson printer or any of the pro level inkjet printers and even IRIS printers that I've used in the workplace over the course of the last 20 years... you could do a print every two months and there was no problem with dried up inks.
And I know somewhere in the past  I read that the maintenance print that the instructions was recommending be printed only needed to be done every 4 to 6 weeks to keep the inks from drying up, although when I go through the entire full blown PDF instruction manual now I can't find ANYTHING about how often a maintenance print needs to be done... that's right, nothing!
But on Christmas eve I once again exchanged my last, dried up HP tri-color ink cartridge at a Walgreens store where my mom had purchased it months prior (and the guy was nice enough to exchange it even after 5 months)  which was yet another HP tri-color ink cartridge that had at least two of it's colors dry up after only a few weeks.  At that Walgreens they had been nice enough to replace three prior HP tri-color ink cartridges with the same problem in the last year, and before that three different after market, off brand tri-color ink cartridges from another store had dried up after only a few weeks.
So the guy at Walgreens told me that now  with HP cartridges you need to do a maintenance test print EVERY WEEK in order to keep the inks from drying up... THAT'S EVERY WEEK YOU ARE NOW SUPPOSED TO DO A TEST PRINT FOR MAINTENANCE.
Now, you DO NOT need to do one of the test prints where it prints a photo of a pear, which uses quite a bit of ink, but you can just do one of the self test prints where you hold down on the CANCEL button and then press the COLOR COPY button and it prints a quick test page with just a little color and a lot of B&W text, and that's apparently enough.
And that seems to be enough to keep the ink cartridges from drying up, the way they seem to be otherwise doing so quickly now, as opposed to how HP and other brand ink cartridges used to.
And in fact, now after about a month, after doing weekly self test prints, the ink cartridges are still flowing well and they just did some full color prints quite nicely... ALERT THE MEDIA AND ANYONE WHO CONSIDERS THEMSELVES HP PRINTING EXPERTS!
So the questions I would ask myself are these...
First, why is it that NO ONE at HP customer service knew this, whether it be on the HP 800 phone support or on the HP "Live Chat" with people in India, Malaysia and the Philippines, or even here on the HP Help Forum with so-called EXPERTS from HP?
Second, how have the inks changed so that in the past, you didn't need to do maintenance prints every week, but maybe every two months at the most, in order to keep the inks from drying up, but now the inks dry up in a matter of less than two weeks unless a maintenance print is done once a week?
Have HP and other ink makers changed the formula of their inks so they dry up much faster, forcing people to buy new cartridges when the last ink cartridge is still at a 90% level with dried up ink?
And as a result, are people on the HP 800 customer phone support line and on HP "Live Chat" telling people that they need to buy a new printer, when in actuallity their ink cartridges are just drying up within a new record short period of time?
    You tell me, HP experts.

  • Windows Server 2012 - Printing using UNC path not working

    Hi,
I have a problem printing using the printer's UNC path ("\\Server_Name\Printer_Hostname") to work with a web
app hosted on IIS 8. With a windows forms application the UNC path is working fine and the app prints.
    With
the web app I receive an error "The data area passed to a system call is tool small".
    Also,
in the event viewer under Applications and Services Logs -> Microsoft -> PrintService -> Operational, I receive the error "The print spooler failed to reopen an existing printer connection because it could not read the configuration information
from the registry key S-1-5-82-1980832875-2702362896-1795126167-3622310632-1152289074\Printers\Connections. The print spooler could not open the registry key. This can occur if the registry key is corrupt or missing, or if the registry recently became unavailable."

I have contacted IIS forum support.
    Please review the link: http://forums.iis.net/p/1213109/2079229.aspx?Re+Windows+Server+2012+Printing+using+UNC+path+not+working
    Their final response:
Printing from ASP.NET using System.Drawing.Printing itself is a horrible approach, as this namespace was designed for Windows Forms only. The designers did not take everything about ASP.NET in mind, so any issue can happen. That can answer why the HP model
works while the Samsung fails, as the HP one just "happens
    to work",
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.drawing.printing.printdocument.aspx
Similarly, System.Printing was designed just for WPF.
About which printing API to use in ASP.NET/IIS, there is no clear answer so far. Thus, your only resource is Microsoft support, who can perform further analysis (with their dedicate utilities and of course Windows source code) and might come across a solution
to help you out. This is not a trivial scenario.

I have a iPhone 4S and a Cannon Printer with AirPrint. I have the printer and the iPhone both on the same network, however I still can't locate the printer on the phone. Works just fine with the laptop on the same network. Any suggestions?

ok no problem! all i did was 1) set up the mobile hotspot on my phone. 2)  turn it and wifi on on the phone. 3)  connect the laptop/desktop to the hotspot network. 4) insert setup disk for the printer and begin setup. 5) complete the setup "using a usb cord to temporarilly connect the computer and printer" 6) unplug usb cable and finish set up on the laptop/desktop. 7) give it a few minutes to show up on the AirPrint menu on the phone. 8) that should be it. I unplugged the printer and plugged it back in, made sure the laptop was totally turned off AND disconnected from the network, and did everything I could to try and make it not work. The printer I have is a Canon MG3122, it doesn't have a fancy screen or even a way to input a password or anything like that, so it just strores a default network that it will connect to. in order to change networks i would have to complete setup multiple times. Since I only plan to use it with AirPrint for my mobile business....the one network is just fine! Hope this helps!

  • How can I get my printer to print in color? I can only print black and white

HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z-------windowsxp      My printer will not print anything in color.   How can Iget my printer to print in color?  I can only print in black and white.    It is a new Printer and we just installed it 2 wks ago.

I am not sure I understand ''it still will not print. ''
If you cannot see any content on pages you printed or in print preview, the cause might be margins which are set too high.
#In order to check the margins, we need to go to ''File'' > ''Page Setup''.
#Once this is done, switch to the ''Margins & Header/Footer'' tab.
#Check what's set there under ''Margins''.
The following are the default values for ''Margins'':
    '''Right''': 12.7
    '''Top''': 12.7
    '''Left''': 12.7
