My right earpod plug is giving out low sound as compared to the right one. It is happening since last week. I have tried to clean it but still the problem is there.
Whether I watch a video, listen songs or make a Skype video call, the right earpod plug is not working properly. I have cleaned it to the extent which is possible but cannot risk it more as it can be damaged. Please help. I have an Iphone 5 ,purchased in November 2012
the earpods of your iphone use a connector which apart from the mic and buttons part have been a std since the sony walkmen in the 1980's
so you can attempt to connect any 3.5mm minijack headset to your phone and tthe audio response should be the same
as can you connect your iphone headset to any other device to verify if it works there
a good candidate would be a computer they had the same connector for audio out since they were invented

If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

Is there anyone that has a problem with changing the Apps and iTunes language back to English after the IOS 7.1 updates on their iPhone? Ihave contacted Apple support and followed the step by step instructions and it did not change it to English. The original language is English. I reset all settings and turned the phone off and it still did not change the language in the software eventhough the settings for language is set in English. When I went on line support.apple.com, in the iTunes section it states that the software iTunes 11.1.7, I think changes the language in the Apps whenever there are updates in the IOS 7.1. Is there anyone that can help me.
T-OwensContent bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
All you need to do is delete those apps belonging to your wife.
Check Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > your own Apple ID here. If not, sign out here and sign in yours. -
I prefer to print from PSE as this allows me to set picture dimensions. Windows photo viewer does not give this flexibility. I am using the same PC, the same printer and the same print file, yet the outcome from each software option is significantly different. WPV is sharp and bright whereas PSE is softer. my newly bought i pad 4(4gs), ratina display, is not letting me doing anything. it is saying 'this ipad hasn't been backed up. backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi'. i have tried to powered off by pressing the top right hand button till the red slide comes up. but it is not sliding to the right. could anyone help me out??
Locked, refers to the device being plugged in with "slide to unlock" being displayed on the screen. To recap - your device will automatically back up to icloud when it is connected to power, the screen is locked, and it is connected to a wifi network.
-Wifi is required to limit impact on your data plan.
-Power is to ensure the device has sufficient power to perform the backup.
-Screen lock - to make sure the device is not in use - which could slow or stop the backup.
The initial backup may take some time. Plug it in to the wall before bed, and make sure it is connected to your wifi network. The backup SHOULD be completed when you wake up in the morning.

I am writing a book and need to have the margins alternating left and right pages, so that there is sufficient margin for the binding. I have tried different inside and outside margins, the same inside and outside margins, facing pages, changing the master, and I cannot get the margins to alternate at print time. The larger margin is always on the left. Can anyone please help me on this, as I have spent hours and lots of ink.
Set up as facing pages with a larger inside margin.

My iphone is neither shown in itunes nor in redsnow .. what is the problem ? It has the black screen and the sound plays when it is plugged into the computer .. Thanks for the quick response. No, I did not get any error messages or any terms-of-usage screen. The employee I told my problem to was not computer savvy either. She just suggested I move to different spots w/in the library to see if that would make a difference. It didn't. When I connected to the library WiFi it did change the Verizon 3G that is usually in the upper left corner to iPad with two to three emanating arcs. I may have to go to the library in the next town. I was able to connect to theirs in the past when I had to download something greater than 20 MB. Unless I really want it, I will probably not even try to download something more than 20 MB due to the hassle. Yeah, I may have been better off getting a normal desktop or laptop and getting WiFi at home. To do that now would mean having my iPad 2 and a desktop computer, which I feel is extravagant. (I know there are a lot of big spenders out there who got the iPad as additional gadget for fun. This is a rich country.) A Verizon rep told me I couldn't set up a WiFi router at home just using an iPad. So it seems like a person who just uses 3G is limited to surfing the net (not even much YouTube because it eats a lot of data) and using email. I read about an app that helps print wirelessly using 3G, but a reviewer said you had to be an engineer to get it done right. BTW, I like the Steelers. I'm old enough to remember Franco Harris and that blond guy whose name escapes me back in the '70s. Since I live in North Jersey I feel I have to support the Giants. But I know football about as well as computers.

There is a hardware problem. Whether it's worth it to you to have no working phone for 2 months until you can update vs paying for replacement/repair now is a question only you can answer.

Last night as I was setting up the pin I got distracted and entered the wrong one, now I can't access my phone as I don't know what I entered. Is there anyway around this or do I have to wipe my phone and sign in with my Apple ID and restore from icloud??
I can't ask for help on chat as I'm away from home and don't have the box with me, and obviously can't get the serial number in my phone as I've locked myself out!!

an error occurred uploading my iPhoto Book order. It puts the book together and starts to send but at the very last moment comes up with an error message. but checking the book in iPhoto there are no problems to be found.

Just got off the phone with apple support. If the photo book completes the assembly process but fails during the upload process the problem is in their overloaded servers.They just started a free shipping promotion for the holidays which has increased the traffic dramatically. I bought a calendar a week ago and it went right through. I'm going to try again during less peak times.

Ipad2 is stuck in a low resolution, icons are large, can't see normal screens. I shut down and restarted the ipad but did not help. Did an itunes Restore, but still same problem. It's like the resolution is now stuck at a high resolution. Anyone seen this problem?
