My sister's email pops up when I turn on my IPad and it is annoying. How do I get rid of this pop up? My email is also available but she registered my IPad as it is a gift from her and she had an apple ID.

I bought an IPad4 in Virginia, USA, as a gift to my brother who lives in India. I registered it when I purchased it and may have entered my email at registration per guidance I got in the Applestore.
When I gave it to him I remember setting up his email. However, he says that my email pops up annoyingly and he is asked for an Apple PW but if he ignores it, it goes away--it is a minor irritation and he wishes he could either stop it from popping up or hide the pop-up.
Is this possible?
What are the steps?

Hi MalathiVA,
Have him go into Setting>Notifications>Mail, and turn the Notification OFF, Badge App Icon = OFF, New Mail Sound = None. (or, he can leave the sound on if he wants to know when new mail comes in). Unfortunately, with both email accounts set up on the iPad, you can't tell it to tell you about one without the other.
Things can get fairly complicated if iCloud is involved. If it is your iCloud account that is set up on the iPad, then he will just have to deal with the two emails.....

It is unnecessary and annoying to have to click "yes" each time.

My home page on Firefox only has been changed to somoto. I can't get rid of it. Have run scans for malware and viruses with more than one program and has eliminated any bad stuff. I cannot find the word somoto anywhere in my computer. My regular home page comes up in IE and Chrome.

This worked for me:
open add/remove programs and uninstall every toolbar you see that you don't know exactly what it is. The trojan or virus ... whatever it is can hide itself in another name. it happened to be "burn4free" toolbar when i downloaded burn4free a few days ago. I uninstalled it, restarted my computer upon prompt, and VOILA! no more annoying homepage. Like i said, it may be renamed so make sure to do some trial and error if you're not sure which one it is. GOOD LUCK!

That depends. If it's an email you should never move it. Doing so will corrupt your mailbox folder which could cause you to lose additional email. More importantly, if you have an IMAP account or a POP account where you leave messages on the server it will just be redownloaded the next time you check for email. If you haven't found out which app it is then if you go into list view in the Apps part of your library do any of the apps have an exclamantion mark against them ? If they do then they are the one(s) that iTunes can't find the actual app file(s) for - if you delete that app from your library then if it is still in then you should be able to re-download it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes, or you can just download it directly on your phone via the Purchased tab in its App Store app

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

You probably have some kind of adware installed, assuming that your Mac is not actually running OS 9 or earlier (systems that date back to the 90s).
