My SQLDeveloper 3.0 Debugger Option

Hi , I am working on this example from this link http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/11g/r2/prod/appdev/sqldev/plsql_debug/plsql_debug_otn.htm
when I try to carry out step 4 on Debugging a PL/SQL Procedure I am unable to get the display for Stack, Smartdata, Breakpoint, Watches and Data. I am only getting Debugging(hr.....).log . I don't understand what step I am missing out or what setting I should do on the debugger configuration on tools-> preferences.

Those tabs automatically get shown when actually stepping into the code, when hitting a breakpoint. If they're still not there, open them through the View - Debugger menu.

How to keep the 'classic debugger' as default while debugging. Otherwise everytime when I debug, I have to click to 'switch to debugger option'. Do I need to make any option changes?

Just a small correction as I believe you want the classic debugger all the time.
From SE38 ABAP Editor screen menu -> Utilities->Settings .
This will take you to the User specific settings window.
Click the Debugging Tab.
Click the Radio Button Classic Debugger , hit enter and you are all set.

ST22 (DEBUGGER option grayed out)

Hi all,
Not sure if this is a security question. When I go to St22, search for dumps, click on a specific dump, and then do goto - the debugger option , it is grayed out. Normally object S_DEVELOP controls the debug rights and I have S_DEVLEOP with * . I even tried with SAP_ALL, still that menu item is grayed out. So it should not be a security issue. Is that meant to be grayed out. Why is that present in the menu over there in the ST22 transaction. Not sure what is it that makes it from a grayed out functionality to an active menu item. Obviously it there in the st22 menu for a reason. Beats me. Any help is appreciated. Could not find any useful info via the internet or service market place. Thanks in advance

Hi,
it's not related to security. This feature is available only right after you get a dump. When you display dump in ST22 then it's not possible to jump into debugger.

Disable Debugging when you hit Option key while running Actions in Background?

I have a Photoshop droplet that runs a full series of common actions on my images to resize them and add a copyright watermark before I show them to my clients. Since this may be over 1000 images at one time, it often takes over an hour to complete the process, and I will generally work on something else on my machine while it runs in the background. My problem comes in whenever I hold down the Option key for any period of time, Photoshop CS3 will pause and some debugger windows will open, forcing me to quit out of the debugger before it will resume.
Is there any way to disable the debugger option and regain use of my option key while running Photoshop actions in the background?

The debugger window is named as "ExtendScript Toolkit - Fit Image.jsx"
And can you use the Esc key while batch is being processed?
It just doesn't work for me until I stop the batch or quit photoshop.
Too bad.

Attaching debugger to particular instance of Flash Player

I have two instances of Flash Player 10 on a web page. One instance runs a very small SWF for server communication and the other is the primary interface for the enduser.
The issue comes up when debugging. When I launch the debugger it ALWAYS connects to the server comm SWF and not the one I want to debug.
In Flex 3 I could just launch a blank page and right-click to attach the debugger. This no longer works in Flash Builder 4.
Any tips on how I can target a particular instance of the Flash Player for debugging?

I am running an ASP.NET website that launches a page with the two Flash Players embedded.
I have tried launching a "blank" page to get the debugger monitoring, then launch through the website but the "Debugger" option on the right click menu is disabled. This used to work with Flex Builder 3. When I do this, the debugger attaches to the network comm SWF.

I have 12 different projects or libraries open in this project(8 flex libraries and 4 SWF/Modules). This does not include the network comm project/swf that is being loaded.

I can launch a blank page but the "Debugger" option in the Flash Player(on the webpage) is disabled. The other Flash Player is not visible since it's only used for network comm.
If I launch through the "Debug foo" menu option, the debugger automatically attaches to that lite weight network comm SWF rather than the other.

When ever i update my Typed data set which is associated with the report, select verify database option on .rpt file , I am getting just-in-time debugger window throwing an exeception asking me to choose the debugger option . My Visual studio developer environment window is automatically closed. Please help me out with this problem.
Error is " An unhandled exception('System.ExecutionEngineException') occurred in devenv.exe [3536]"

I am pretty sure you will find this in transaction SMICM or SICF. Look on the menus for the debugger options. Sorry can't remember exactly which one.

Flash Builder 4.5, debugger hanging at 57% need a solutions

I have been reviewing "All" the web solutions to my problem and have not found a solution. I have rebuild my work space so many times I can do it in my sleep. I have installed/uninstalled the flash player (debug version) again so many time I can do it in my sleep. I have rebooted and rebooted so many times I can tell how long it takes down to the second when my system will be available.
I am not an ID10T, yet I am starting to feel like one.
Here is my environment:
Windows (wishing it was an apple)
Browser(s): FireFox version 6
Flash Builder version 4.5
Flash player (latest debug version)

As you can see from the image I have a debug version installed and the debugger options is disabled, this makes no sense to me and real assistance is appreciated.

Problem while using new debugger

hi all,
I want to debug smartform which is configured in SRM. When I put break point in smartform. It is going to debugging mode through web but it is not creating another screen for debugger.
It is showing error ' No additional external mode for new abap debugger available ' . How to get debugger in another screen as we get normally.

Hi Deepika,
For the new debugger you need seperate session to run it. In you case let's say you are allowed to have 4 session open for you login, and if you have 4 sessions open already, then this debugging problem will occur. So to debug in the new debugger close few unwanted sessions, or if you get a change to open new debugger then 'turn off' the new debugger option(to switch to the old debugger).

Using debugger plugin in JEdit

I am new to Java/JEdit/Recast. I am having problems with the debuffer options.
Can someone please guide me thro the debugger options set up:
VM, Arguements to VM, Main Class, Arguements to Main Class.
I have the Jcompliler set up and running.

Note that you can also remote debug your application while it is running on Tomcat from inside JDeveloper.
So while it is not an embedded Tomcat you can achieve a scenario where you do:
develop
deploy to tomcat
debug on tomcat
return
very easily

"Waiting for Adobe Flash Player to connect to debugger..."

Having an issue where after installing 10.1 debug build and then stepping back to 10.0 debug on Windows 7 and Flash Builder 4 the debugger will no longer connect:

After 1-2 minutes it times out with Launch Failed: Failed to connect; session timed out. Esnure that: 1. You compiled your Flash application with debugging on. 2. You are running the debugger version of Flash Player.
Any thoughts on what may be happening here? Nothing else has changed and after searching for quite a while for answers nothing has resolved the issue.

When I right click on the swf file, the 'debugger' option is greyed out.
It occurs on IE and Firefox.
I have installed the flash debugger V 10,0,45,2 isntalled of the activeX for firefox. I have tried with 10.1.53.38
IE has 10.1.53.38 installed. When I run the uninstaller and try an install the 10.4.45.2 it tells me its not the latest version and won't install.
Both Flex Builder 3 and FLash Builder 4 (trial) do this to me.
I am running WIndows 7 (64Bit).

Local MS Access file and SET COUNT

I have a small app that relies on a local MS Access database file for retrieving and storing information.
I've used the "Add new data source" wizard in Visual Studio and then I've bound a couple of richtextboxes to the one (1) table in the database file.
I use this code to let the user save updated text to the file, however it sometimes keeps throwing an error. The code is:
MyDataBindingSource.EndEdit()
CustomersTableAdapter.Update(CustomerdatabaseDataSet)
The error thrown, seemingly at random, but probably occuring when the users edit multiple values, is this: "An unhandled exception of type 'System.Data.DBConcurrencyException' occurred in System.Data.dll". According to http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/310375/en-us
I should set "NOCOUNT" to OFF instead of ON, but no amount of googling is able to tell me how to do that. I've been all over my code and the queries/code generated by the VS wizard, but I cant find any NOCOUNT setting anywhere.

Cannot get HttpClient to work for Windows Phone 8.1

I am new to development and trying to create a basic Windows Phone App that uses HttpClient with no success. I keep getting an unhandled exception. I get the same error whether using my own code or the downloadable sample RSS Reader:

I am not sure what I am missing. I have searched but cannot seem to find the root cause of my issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

That line is your culprit. Whichever method is calling your code to parse the XML from the feed, wrap it in a try/catch.
In your catch, do a System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(e.Message);
If you're running this from the emulator, check whether your emulator has internet connectivity. If you're running from your phone, check the same.
If all else fails, you can try adding the HttpClient NuGet libraries to your project (This MAY fix the issue if it's not already loaded)

RH 8 Crash

Hello,
I consistently receive Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger errors while working in RH. I have deactivated all debugger options in VS, so I simply get an error that informs me that I'm not using a debugger.
Error: "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in robohtml.exe [1700]. JIT debugging this exception failed with the folling error. No installed debugger has JIT enabled..." The bracket number changes each time the error appears.
I have researched the issue on the Web and found no solutions/explanations.
I have had limited success when I restart my computer and delete the cpd, but invariably, the problem arises again.
There are few red flags in the 'offending' topics. Maybe a bit of canned javascript, but not anything else. Topics seem to be equal opportunity offenders. I created the project from scratch, and I'm confident it's in good structural shape. I am a bit compulsive...
I know folks have reported JIT errors with RH in the past. Has anyone arrived at a solution or even a work around?

What were the circumstances of your crash? I installed this very same
configuration two days ago and it is working fine. I'm using RH 8.0
(I've since updated the kernel to 2.4.19 [I think]), J2SDK 1.4.1_01 and
Eclipse 2.1 M4. No worries so far.
