My system for work only supports Firefox 7.0 and 8.0. I can only find 3.6 and 9.0 available on your website. Where can I find 8.0. I really love Firefox, but I can't use an unsupported version, as features of our Blackboard will not work.

Where can I find a download for Firefox 8.0. Work does not support the 9.0 platform, yet.

You can upgrade to iPhoto '11 with OS X 10.8.5 by purchasing an iPhoto '11 DVD from Amazon, eBay or other source - or you can upgrade your OS to Mavericks for free if your system meets the requirements and then purchase the upgrade to iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store - in either case backup first in case of problems

In some cases, the incompatibility is due to the new HTML5 parser in Firefox 4. You could disable that and test whether the bank site works again.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''html5''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''html5.parser.enable''' to toggle it to false (it should turn bold).
Then reload the bank page and see whether it works.
And if you need it, here's the process to roll back:

You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!

Is there a way to get Microsoft based Header(s) files to compile in LabWIndows/CVI. It appears that LabWindows/CVI does not like the words "BOOLEAN" or "HANDLE" in the header file for an example?
Is there a switch that I need to set in LabWindows ENVR to accept this MS C/C++ Header files?

to turn off the messages about outdated plugins, enter "about:config" into the address bar of the browser, confirm the info dialog, then search for the preference named "plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin" & double-click it in order to toggle it to "true".
please also note that firefox 3.6.28 was the last build that ran on a powerpc, however if you want to use an up-to-date browser based on firefox you can switch to "tenfourfox" - the downside is it doesn't support plugins at all

Apple Mail will not work without webmail login

Spontaneously 2 weeks ago I got a triangle next to my Apple Mail Inbox and could neither send nor receive email. I have used ATT for DSL and my email address for over two years without this problem. I have checked all my settings with ATT and they claim they have even "rebuilt" my mailbox and all is good. But unless I use a browser to log into webmail first, Mail will not work. The user name/password/port info is all correct, but Mail cannot connect. Even when the "keep me logged in" box is checked when I log in to webmail, Mail will stop working if I close out the browser and put the computer to sleep. This is driving me crazy.

I've had what sounds very similar issue with another DSL ISP: Qwest.
Ran both Comcast & Qwest simultaneously (alternately, not really concurrently)
for awhile & got sporadic blips & failures to connect.
I never could establish conclusively whether it was the ISP, or a local client problem.
I think its the ISP. Had other email annoyances with them that never quite got resolved
Sometimes my mail was left on the webmail server & never got delivered & would do so, same as you describe.
Its never anyone's fault, or problem...
I doubt they'd tell you if it was an issue on their end, if it not resolved.

Macbook pro stuck boots to "no bootable device found insert boot disk and press any key macbook," and at the same time, booting to the Startup Manager (holding option while booting) will not work either.

Not only will holding Option while booting not work, but all of the other boot tricks (safe mode, single user mode, etc), will not work. I am at a loss. I also don't have an optical drive in this particular MBP. I have an SSD where it once was.

I know you have tried other booting types, but have you tried booting into recovery mode? Cmd+R or internet recovery? By any chance have you recently deleted/resized/changed format to a partition? Even if it was not the main one? Have you installed third party applications that could have messed up your system files? Or some sort of RAID software, Fusion Drive etc.? All of this info will help us to pinpoint your issue quicker and help you. Any change you noticed before this happened (even if it seems small), that you consider worth telling us would be greatly appreciated.
Also, do you have access to another Mac besides this one(preferably)? Or do you have access to a Windows computer (7 or 8 preferably)?

Add-ons contain a range of compatible Firefox versions, and Firefox honors the listed range by disabling the add-on if you are trying to run it on an unlisted version.
I'm sure Yahoo! will update its toolbar eventually, but not every add-on maker supports beta versions of software.

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:

Java7 and Java6 will not work opening pogo games on firefox, but works perfectly for IE, what can I do to fix this issue?

Java will not work on the computer all of a sudden. Now when I go to open a Pogo game room up i get a Mozilla red lego piece in the corner saying "Some plug ins have been De-activated for your safety, in the box will be "Java (TM) platform SE 6 U". I have removed Java7 and reloaded it, after that not working found Java6 and loaded and reloaded it and it is not working.
Now after 3 minutes of the room not loading Pogo will give me the error message of

I have done the click here in last sentence and all it wants me to do is download Java7 which was the first reason it was not working.
Hopefully I have explained this well enough, from Mozilla this is what I get BUT if I go to Internet Explorer (which I HATE) the Java6 and Java7 work perfectly fine. So apparently the Java is downloaded correctly I just can not get it to play nicely with Mozilla and that is my main goal.
EA games help page has gone through it all with me and have proven over and over (after 1 hour sessions, 45 waits for them) Java is working on my computer perfectly with IE just not on Firefox and with the rural situation I have become dependent on Mozilla because of the no fiber optics here it has been my best and only source of successfully using the internet here in the far out part of the country.

I started working for ChaCha, and now firefox will not work unless I manually close it in the process tree every time I want to use it. I also cannot open more than 1 page at a time.

I started working for ChaCha 11/26/2010, I had to download a program to take incoming questions.
Ever since then, Firefox will not work correctly, even if I am totally logged out of ChaCha, and the page is closed, if I try to open my browser using Firefox, it will not open, I have to go into the processor tree and manually end Firefox, then it will work, but it will only let me open 1 page at a time. For example I have Firefox open now, but if I go and click on the icon to open it in a new browser, it will not open, I either have to close this, or use IE-I HATE IE lol.
I cannot use the ChaCha add on you have because it is not for the new version of Firefox, please help, I love Firefox, but not being able to open more than one window/page at a time does not cut it, nor does having to manually stop it from processing. I have tried re-installing it too.

If you purchased the Apple USB SuperDrive, it will only work with select Apple devices. It won't work, for example, on my Late 2011 model that has a SuperDrive built-in, but it will work with an Air, Retina model, new 'drive-less' iMacs, etc.
As far as I know, though, you can only hack the drive to work with some other Apple devices, but not with Windows PCs. Which is a shame as other, less expensive DVD/CD devices will work with just about any machine.
