My text appears all messed up

Question

i ve made a movie clip with 4 buttons and a textbox.
each button pulls a specific .txt file into the textbox
i have used this code:
on (release) {
loadText = new LoadVars();
loadText.load("BIBLIOGRAFIAS_Q.txt");
loadText.onLoad = function(success) {
if (success) {
// trace(success);
infobox.html = true;
infobox.htmlText = this.myinfo;
the .txt file loads correctly into the text box but the
problem is that some characters don't appear and that messes up all
the text.
the characters that don't appear are:
~, ^, ´, ´, ç, Ã, ã, Õ, õ.
i've noted that the some text from .txt files is missing.
i hope someone can give me some answers about this, cause
it's really urgent.

Have you embedded those characters in your SWF? If you have
created your textfield on Stage (as opposed to by actionscript),
look at your Properties Panel when you have your textfield
selected. All the way to the right is the Embed... button. Make
sure you select the set that include those characters.
