My WiFi is down and says ´´No Hardware Installed´´ and I´m not sure how to fix it. I´ve tried shutting it down and pressing P, R, Command, Option, but it only works sometimes, and as a temporary fix. What do I do?

I went in to one before I left, and thought the tech employee had fixed it, but I started to have the same problem here. How can I fix this?

Hey i have installed something called Teu_installer not sure how and now can't remover it
so ive instlled this somehow and its now in my taskbar. it oper and if i try and deleate it it says cant deleate cos the programe is open and if i try close it it just stays open anyway....
i have heard its spyware not sure what that is?

Go to System Preferences / Users & Groups, and see if it's one of your login items. If so, remove it with the - key.
Click the Apple icon, then Force Quit. See if it's there. If so, force quit it and then try to uninstall it.
It all depends on what it is and how it was installed. If one of the two I mentioned gets rid of it, great. If not, there's more work involved. -

"Add flagged photos" only works sometimes. Is there a fix?
After I flag photos in one event, then select another event, and choose "Add flagged photos...", the flagged photos are sometimes moved and sometimes not. After opening the target event and clicking on a few photos, then selecting the target event again, the "Add flagged photos.." may work. I seems to work about 10% of the time on the first try. Is there something I could do to fix this?
I thought it might be an photo ownership issue since my wife and I share the iPhoto library (it is in the Shared User folder) so I set the security on the photos to "Read and Write" from both my account and her account.
That's not how to set permissions on an iPhoto Library. Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. You'll see the option to check and repair Library permissions.
I thought about rebuilding the library, but am a little nervous about that since there are numerous warnings about backing up before doing that.

I have just updated itunes on my pc (windows XP) to the latest version. When I try to open it I get an error message saying the application failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found< Have tried reinstalling with no luck. Any ideas?

To add to my original question: I had a 1st generation ipad and 32GB was more than enough storage now I'm having trouble making movies, adding media, etc. I have bought another 15GB of storage on I cloud. Can I put all of my apps on i cloud?
I'm going to be taking an overseas flight and wanted to rent a bunch of movies but I'm not sure how to do that.

sherrislpTo answer your question, you could remove your apps and then download them again as needed. Your purchased apps are part of what is stored in iCloud and purchased apps do not count against the allotment anyway - As far as I know.
You would want to backup to iCloud before you delete the apps. If it were me, I would also back up and sync with iTunes - I still use iTunes and I back up to both iCloud and iTunes.
The suggestion that James made would be OK for bringing the movies with you on the trip .... But you need to be able to use WiFi in order to use the device and the way that I read your question, you want to download movies to watch on the flight. So that will not work on the airline flight. It would store the content for later viewing but won't work on the flight. That is my understanding of the GoFlex drive, but you would have to investigate it further.

I have a problem that im not sure how to solve.
Basically, i need to use a StringTokenizer to split up a list of names into individual strings and them put them into a collection of some sort.
Then, I need to sort the strings into alphabetical order from A-Z so I can put them in a JList in order.
I really dont know how to go about this.
Reading the strings into the collection is fine but after that i dunno.
I know that String has a method where you can extract an individual char so i thought maybe iterate through the collection and take out the first char...maybe somehow use it as a condition to check other strings or something i dunno.
I dont really have a time limit on this as its just part of a week program im working on, but any ideas or suggestions might help.
Thanks in advance guys.Which part are you stuck on? It was a little hard to tell. From what I read, it looks like you just don't know how to sort the Strings once you've put everything in the collection. You should be able to simple call:Collections.sort(yourStringCollection);To sort the list.

Have you attempted to reset the SMC? That would be the first step. Hold the left control, option, shift key and the power button for about 5 seconds and release. Then try to reboot. Might as well reset the PRAM as well. Hold command, option, P, R on start up until the machine restarts. If that doesnt' have any affect we'll have to dig deeper into a potential hardware failure.
If this method doesn't work, check the webcam that will tell the problem is on the iSight & WiFi cable. If your webcam is ok, then it'll be the WiFi card problem. Hope it can help ;-)

Is the problem on the Bookmarks menu, on the Bookmarks drop-down list (from one of your toolbars), in the Bookmarks sidebar, or in the Library dialog used to organize bookmarks?
Do Home and End (without the Ctrl key) work any better/differently? -
Safari and firefox stop working after a few minutes of browsing, regardless of what site I'm on. I have to restart my computer to get internet access again but it only works for a few more minutes, then I have to restart again. I don't get a spinning ball, it just stops working at whatever page it's on. I can close the program just fine but when I re-open it, either safari or firefox, it freezes trying to load the hompage. This started a few days ago after trying to stream a movie on my computer. I'm on a Mac Air OS X Version 10.6.8 and have downloaded all updates. When I go into finder, it says I have over 80 gigs available. Is there some other memory cache that I need to check? Thanks so much for your help.

I'm not trying to belittle your issues; you're certainly having them and I know first hand how annoying an intermittent AirPort issue can be. (In fact, mine was due to an AirPort driver bug that no one else seemed to suffer from.)
The single best diagnostic you could do is take your system running 10.5.7 to an Apple Store, and try using their in-store network.
If your machine performs flawlessly, it may be a router issue.
If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3." -

Facetime works sometimes and not others
My fiance and I are trying to get facetime working since we currently live across states. I'm on my iPad 2 and she's on her MBP (she got one a few months before the most recent update to Sandy Bridge, fyi).
When it comes to facetime, I can use it with my friend who has an iPhone 4 flawlessly. It literally works every single time. With my fiance, we've gotten it to work/connect 3 times total. Once while I was in the same room as her, and twice since then across our connections.
So I don't think it's a port issue as it tends to work sometimes and not others. It feels like the software is literally just not working right. Can anyone lend a hand? A few points of interest:
- Skype works perfectly (the resolution is just meh and you can't turn it on the iPad). So video is going through
- It has worked before
- When it has connected in the past, the two times it wasn't at her place, we've been randomly disconnected and unable to reconnect
- The error it gives is on her end - Failed to connect or something like that
