Mybt history disappeared, duplicate profiles and a...

Anyone else having problems with their account holder status. got in touch with online chat more than 2 weeks ago, no longer the primary account after hours trying to fix another problem with my account. Pin doesn't work, spent another hour trying to sort Friday and would told it would be done with 28 hours. Now I can log on but my entire onlline billing and payment history has disppeared, plus all my orders etc. Basically, the site is pointless to me. 
Still the same problem that I'm my account holder status is still pending.. and same problems that the pin which was sent out doesn't work.
don't get anywhere with online chat at all. so disappointed. last time logged in successully was told I'd be in debt at the end of the year but can't access any of the bills to see why this is.
Have both phone and broadband with BT... and been a BT customer for almost 20 years.  Anyone know how to get results, because frankly I'm not getting anywhere with what I see is essentially a technical problem. Surely it must be a simple thing to sort?

    I did all the work in my computer and now i want to change the machine(computer) and i don't want to loose all my work.
    Are there any ideas how to duplicate all my profiles and roles(my configuration) to another computer??

  • Duplicate Profiles and Syncing Issues

    My duplicate accounts are:

    I have a problem that has plagued me for several years now and keeps getting worse. I have three profiles setup because of various log-in issues over the years. I would like to merge these profiles or get rid of two of them, whatever is easiest. The main issue this is causing me is that I never know what I am logged in as when I do things like post in the forums. Further, I can't get syn to work at all. Especially between Mobile and Desktop. Any ideas?
    The issue I have with syncing between devices and desktop is that both show the "Connect to Sync" codes, meaning that neither is going to allow me to input the code from the other. I've tried everything.
    Basically, I have used Chrome for the past 6 months because of this issue. I'd like to get back to Firefox, but not if I can't sync and can't have a single functioning profile.

  • Why is LR importing duplicate files and adding a -1 to file name?

    I need to locate some missing photos that disappeared from my library so I'm re-importing my photo collection again (from burnt DVD's) in hopes to recover all the missing images. When I insert a DVD to re-import the photo collection and choose "convert to DNG" and I check "do not import suspected duplicates" LR imports the same images that are already in the catalog and renames the images with a -1...for example, IMG_3664.dng is already in LR folder named 2008-06-14. When I re-import the images from that date, LR renames the image IMG_3664-1.dng and puts it in the same folder resulting in duplicate images side by side. Why is it importing the same image and adding a -1 to the file name?
    I was expecting it to tell me there are XXX photos already in the catalog but it doesn't. It just adds a -1 to the file name and imports all the duplicate images and displays them side by side in the grid view.
    Any ideas? I originally imported the images from the same DVD's I'm using now on a PC and placed the library on an external hard drive. NOw I'm using a new iMAC and I imported that same library from the same external drive location. I'm working with LR 1.31.
    Can someone help? LR should recognize the files with the identical date/time stamp and tell me it's already in the catalog...but it's not for some reason.

    If you import them again, you'll get a "-2" instead of -1, and the -2 will list with the -1,and the original with no dash. The higher number distinguishes the most recent file of same title..
    The file titles are identical as original, but it sounds as converting the file from the source,(PC, Hard drive) to DNG makes it another version of the file....do you type DNG in caps? should it be lower case?
    Because the computer doesn't read the file as a duplicate, but the file name is the same, you'll get a -1.
    This could probably happen,say, if your files are raw, and you had burned them as jpeg onto dvd storage. Even though you want them back as raw, converting them isn't duplicating them.
    I hope this helps...I don't even own Lightroom; I'm shopping around between this and Aperture right now...the experience I'm referring to is where I work in a pre-press printing house; So if someone replying to my post who masters in Lightroom calls me an idiot, I won't argue much!!

    These may be two different problems, but they happen about the same time and resolution work arounds work for both.
    1) My inbox occasionally fills up with duplicates of most (but not all) messages. There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind what gets duplicated. Once duplication starts, the messages that appear multiple times usually appear about the same number of repeats (1-5 repeats of each message) but not always exactly the same.
    Weirdly, sometimes an incoming mail triggers a refresh that disappears the duplicate messages and everything goes back to normal for a while spontaneously.
    I've tried Properties->Repair folder, manually deleting the .msf files, restarting TB, rebooting the computer, restarting the mail server, and changing mail directories. Restarting the server does nothing, the others sometimes but not always resolve the problem temporarily. (all the fixes I could find from similar problems posted by others).
    It is quite annoying - not only does my inbox become unreadable, I don't know which instance to reply to.
    I'm connected to the same account on the same server with K9 and have no such problems.
    Problem 2: occasionally the header of a message in the list pane doesn't match the message in the preview pane. The above fixes resolve this problem to greater or lesser degree most of the time as well, but it always comes back.
    Is there a problem between TB and Dovecot? are there any possible fixes?

  • My profiles and bookmarks keep vanishing, I am running windows 7.

    New computer, 2 months, running windows 7. Installed latest firefox. It has crashed a few times, and all of my profiles and bookmarks have disappeared 3 times now. Unable to recreate event. Running Trend Micro AV. Any ideas?

  • Bandwidth profiler and publish preview to HTML?

    Really? These are no longer present? I see that it shows the swf file size history in the properties palette but its not the same nor nearly as convenient as COMMAND/B. Publish Preview swf embedded in HTML is just gone and any search I do to find out where it is brings up the new Canvas publishing abilities. How can features that have been in for a decade be taken out.

    Yanking tools out that have been in a piece of software for a decade seems like a really bad idea. I still use Flash but only for Display. Everything else is "HTML5". I upgraded to CC to check out the canvas support. The bandwidth profiler and the publish preview taken out has caused my entire workflow to change, not in a good way. Flash is already on its last leg. Adobe should be in touch with its shrunken user base. Its used for Display, Games and some video at this point. It has a much more narrow focus now. I use the bandwidth profiler 30 times a day since Display has strict file size constraints. My banners use dynamic content so I need to see them embedded in HTML so I used the publish preview function just as much.

  • How to delete duplicate files and fix borken links

    Problem: Duplicate Files and Broken Links
    Involves 2 IBM ThinkPads (1) one main partition (system driveC:) running Windows XP SP3, (2) running Windows 7 and with two partitions  - Drive C: has the library while drive D:contains the “itunes media” folder.
    Issues:
    On both laptops, the iTunes media folder contains duplicatecopies of purchased songs and movies (some purchased prior to iTunes 9),imported or ripped songs from CDs, and redeemed digital copies of movies. EverythingI have tried results in broken links and duplicate files. Is there a method or aprogram which will allow me to disentangle this mess? I have spent hoursdeleting files, not using the iTunes “copy” function and so on but the problemcontinues. At times I simply run out of disc space and simply have to start theprocess all over again. I have spoken to someone in Apple’s iTunes tech supportand was told this was a “windows” problem?!?
    Any suggestions or advice that would help me to untanglethis mess would be greatly appreciated. Is taking the ThinkPads to a PC repairshop the only answer? How would they fix the problem?

    You know the location of your file, but it sounded like iTunes doesn't. The FindTracks script is designed to fix the broken links.
    I doubt uninstalling and reinstalling will change anything. Uninstalling iTunes does not affect the contents of your media library or media folders, the files stay put.
    iTunes shouldn't generate much in the way of new files just through launching it... Exceptions include artwork files for tracks it knows it has yet to scan and any downloads related to podcast subscriptions.
    The only other thing I can think of would be some sort of error with the Automatically add to iTunes folder. Any files that are in there should be moved to their normal locations within the media folder layout, not copied, and then added to the library. I suppose the processing order could be add, then move, and if for some reason the move fails then next time you start up iTunes they could be added again. So do you have any files in the Automatically add to iTunes folder? If not is there any other pattern you can see to this duplication? Do you have any software that tries to add files to iTunes automatically?
    Actually, and in a similar vein, does this duplication happen on both machines or just the Windows 7 one? Vista introduced new "default" locations for user profiles plus a bunch of symbolic links that automagically redirect attempts by older software to look for things in the default XP locations. As a result your Music folder, for example, can appear at multiple locations within the tree of folders on your C: drive. I suppose it is just possible that some form of recursive nightmare could be going on there.
    FWIW it is much easier to manage a self-contained library where the media folder is inside the library folder.

  • Safari history disappeared before my eyes

    I was viewing my history (first time since upgrading to Yosemite) and whilst doing so, and without touching anything, my history disappeared except for 2 sites for yesterday (I had viewed dozens yesterday and was in the middle of looking for one of them).  Everything else vanished.  Since then all my history for yesterday has disappeared too, so I only have history for today.  I can't find a reason for this in my settings - I have my history set up to delete after a year and I definitely didn't click to delete history.

    I just upgraded my MacBook Pro to Yosemite tonight. When I checked Safari Preferences, the previously-set History retention that had been two weeks had reverted to one day. I did not see that any other prefs had changed but that one was definitely different.
    So I suspect it is an upgrade issue within Safari.

    Depending upon what country that you are in you might be able to try 'redownloading' it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • Color Profile and Color Shift Headache

    I am having a terrible time trying to fix a color issue. I have seen suggestions in various discussions. Here's what I have tried:
    Reset PRAM
    Calibrate monitor
    Double checked Univesal Access
    Trashed preferences file
    Tried using other profiles
    Created seperate user account
    I even tested to see if the video card or monitor was bad but when I plugged in a Viewsonic LCD display into the ADC port (using a converter) my Hitachi CM721F CRT monitor apparently "slaved" and mirrored off of the Viewsonic profile and everything was fine. When I disconnected the Viewsonic, the problem reappeared. Since then I have also had an Apple Cinema Display hooked up and there was no problem.
    In fact, just this evening I was using iPhoto and all my photos had a red shift to them. Out of curiousity I played them as a slideshow and they looked fine. Additionally photo previews in the Finder, when set to column view look fine but when I open in preview I get a red color shift
    What exactly is going on here?

    Even if bit depth and color profile aren't related, we can say that a small bit depth (8 bit) can have problems with posterization effects if a large (i.e. ProPhotoRGB) color space is used.
    More colors can be "reached" in a large color space, so, if many of them are in a small range of RGB values (XYZ coordinates in color spaces are translated in RGB values at the end), some "near" colors could be "rounded", practically disappearing. So some "posterization" effect could be visible (posterization stands for colors that do not "fade" between them but are clearly separated at the eye).
    So, in practical use, a 8-bit color depth is better used with sRGB and AdobeRGB color space, while larger color spaces like ProPhotoRGB need a 16-bit depth. Using "dithering" (random distribution of color pixel) technique can reduce the posterization effect (for Web image for example), but is better to keep the larger color spaces with large bit depth.

    Azure Data Factory makes it easy to automate Hadoop or custom code.  So any library, method, etc that works on Hadoop can be used within a Data Factory pipeline.
    Once an Azure Data Factory is designed, in the Azure portal
    https://portal.azure.com you can see a diagram view the data factory including the various tables (Files, SQL tables, blobs, etc) and the activities (Copies, Hive/ Pig scripts) which connect those. When you click on a particular item, there is a visual
    lineage view to show which ones feed in and out from the selected item.
    Our intial Lineage focus initially has been "operational lineage" including things like health status, health history, run logs, etc.

    Data Profiling and metadata lineage are areas of asks we’ve heard before.

  • After auto-upgrade Firefox cannot open my profile and won't start.

    I am running Firefox in a corporate environment. OS is Windows 7. Whenever an auto-upgrade is pushed out by Firefox, I get a message telling me that "firefox profile cannot be loaded it may be missing or inaccessible". Indeed, the latter is the case. My profile is no longer accessible to me. I am no longer its owner, according to Windows. Looking at the directory C:\Users\{my userid}\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\5a5finmq.default, I see that it's owner displays as "Unable to display current owner." and I am frozen out of Firefox. Examining this folder in Windows Explorer I cannot read, write, delete or do anything with what was once my profile.
    Please don't tell me how to recreate my profile. This is a BUG and it needs to be fixed. I have a copy of an old profile and I am able to access it and transfer it into my profile directory and get up and running. BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY TIME FIREFOX DECIDES TO UPGRADE ITSELF. Why is Firefox mangling the ownership of my profile and when will this bug be fixed. I have a lot of important information in my profile and it's a pain to recreate this from scratch every time this happens.

    I am sorry to hear that the auto update to Firefox on your NTFS file system/corporate environment did not preserve the user profile. I recommend using firefox sync and using a device you have admin rights to preserve the user profile.
    If you have access to a previous version of the profile it can be added to the profile folder that is missing in the update. Please reference these steps to restore the old profile.

    I am hoping that the sqllite file is not locked on the user directory, though this will vary on the policy of the AD of your corporate environment. [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=551436] If the file is locked and this is consistent this bug does need confirming.
