MySQL 5.0.24 and KPlaylist
I've been running a KPlaylist site for quite awhile without any troubles. The MySQL 5.0.24 upgrade seems to be incompatible with KPlaylist. (See this thread for details.)
Is anybody else seeing this?

Just upgraded to PHP 5.1.6 (sttill running against MySQL 5.0.24) and everything is working now. I'm not exactly sure what the problem was, but I'm pretty excited to have my kplaylist server running again.

I have downloaded MAMP for Mac and want to use it for working with Wordpress. I'm on an Imac with Maverick OS 10.9. I had mysql installed before this and would like to uninstall it and use MAMP. It was easy to turn off Apache and PHP but don't know how to uninstall mysql. Please help!!
It depends on how you installed it. You have to shutdown the MySQL service first. If you used the standard, but obsolete Startup Item, you can do that with the Startup Item. If you created a launchd script, you can do it with launchctl. Once MySQL is no longer running, you can delete the Startup Item or launchd script and the rest of MySQL.

MySQL using Is Null and Is Not Null
Hi
I am using mySQL and PHP to design a web site. On one of the
pages I want to able to display a list of records based on a date
field either having a date inputted or not having a date inputted.
I want the user to be able to select these options on the page via
a list box as below
Label Value
Open Is Null
Closed Is Not Null
However I can not seem to get this to work (sql below), is
the syntax correct and should it be a GET or POST variable eg
$_POST['ListBox']. Hope this makes sense.

How to store an image into MySQL db using BlazeDS and Hibernate?
Hi!
I am using Flash Builder 4.6, BlazeDS, and Hibernate. How to store a webcam snapshot into the MySql Database. I stored Form Items by using RemoteObject into the database. But I failed to store webcam snapshot. I captured that image on Panel component.I converted that image to ByteArray. Now I want to save that image into the database. Please help me in this regard.

Help! I'm trying to install mysql....and FAILING!
I am trying to install mysql, but the instructions that the Lynda.com course on PHP Essential Training are for a previous version of OS X (10.4, I believe) and I am lost and tied up in knot and frustrated beyond all belief.
Is there a set of SIMPLE but accurate instructions that even your grandmother could follow ANYWHERE on the web that can help me?
First problem
From what I can tell, it is in the in the /usr/local/mysql/bin folder (all of this is Greek to me) and I simply cannot modify the path (successfully) to point to it.
Second problem
Also, when i go to the /usrlocal/mysql/bin folder and type ./mysqladmin -u root password mynewpassword it tells me that access is denied.
I am sure that there are more problems along the way for me. I am grappling in the dark with Linux/UNIX or what ever it is called.
So, again, my question is:

I am building an applet that is to be a part of a simple game. The applet is supposed to read data from a MySQL server and use it to place towns on the map. In addition, the applet must be able to write to the base.
I have build a prototype and ran it in netbeans on my computer. It then successfully read data from a local MySQL base. HOWEVER; when I embed the applet in html code it no longer reads from the base. My method for connecting to the base is

1) Why wont the applet read anymore?
2) Is there a better way to do this? I have heard that its better to connect applets to servlets in some situations. What demands does this place on the server? Is there software that you need to install on the server to use servlets?I think I do need an applet. The map I have written permits a lot of features that I dont know how to achieve in another way.
1) Zooming in and out on mousewheel
2) Clicking on on two towns gives the distance and by selecting a trooptype one can get information about the traveltime between cities.
3) Right now, I have a feature to find players or groups of players that are of special interest. It allows a player to submit a list of interesting players. The applet reads this list and provides a button with the players name. If one clicks the name of a player, all his cities flash between their originall color and white (using thread).
I need java to do this and I need to run it in a webbrowser because there are som parts of the game that is made up of php. So I assume I have to build it as an applet? -

PedroOne way is to use the GetDate function in mysql. This will set the date as you insert data. insert into table(date) values(getdate())
Anytime you modifiy the table just call the function again and update its fields.
Dont know which is beter to do. In java or on the database side. -

I am doing my final year project about labview. I need to connect my mysql workbench database to labview and plotting two sinwave in same graph. I can already connected my labview to mysql and showing the data in labview table.But I need to plot the two sinwave in on graph according to table data. Eg: table data: timestamp wind speed wind direction

The attachemtn vi is about inserting file and plot the graph. And now I want plotting the sinwave using table data and the wind speed Y-axis,wind direction Y-axis in both side of my graph and the X-axis is showing the whole day timing like 00:00:00-24:00:00. Can anybody combine these 2 vi to polting the graph according table data not according to file data.Thanks

Mysql Table column attribute and ADF applcation

The column names of a table in MySql database are not display when creating a New Entity object within ADF application. please how can the table columns be display to the entity object ?

How to access MYSQL from Oracle 10g and vice versa
I will like to know how do I create a database link between Oracle 10g and MYSQL database on windows. As DG4ODBC is a generic connectivity based on ODBC it allows you to connect to many foreign databases as long as you have a suitable ODBC driver.It for example allows you to read from text files but also connect to foreign databases like MS SQL Server or IBM DB2. Due to this wide variety of foreign data sources tha capabilities of DG4ODBC are very limited. It only supports a few Oracle functions that it can directly map to foreign database equivalents. All other functions will be post processed. Post processing means that ALL records from the foreign table(s) will be fetched into the Oracle database and the result is then processed locally - so depending on the amount of data stored in the foreign database it might take a while.

So you see, to connect from Oracle to MySQL you need to use the Database gateway for ODBC release 11.2 (HSODBC which was shipped with 10g was desupported in march 2008).
The Database Gateway for ODBC 11.2 (=DG4ODBC) license is included in the Oracle database license and it allows you to connect with a suitable 3rd party ODBC driver to a foreign database.
For your MySQL connection you only need to download and configure the MySQL ODBC driver from the MySQL web site. Once you can connect with the ODBC driver you could then download and configure DG4ODBC.

Hello I am doing a website for my work and trying to connect a database to dreamweaver (Via WAMP) - I have done this successfully before when doing a "test" site, but now when I do the same thing as I did last time (after DW and WAMP updates) I now get an error message when I F12 (preview in browser) my results.php page. (please see image below):
I have tried to find a fix on google, but have found none that help me if I am using WAMP with Dreamweaver. I can see maybe I need to change the code in the config.inc.php file, or paste the below code somewhere, but for the life of me I cannot work out which file I am meant to copy this code in to and where? I have tried to copy it in the top of the config.inc.php file but the error still remains.

Issue in bringing up CRS on ATG 10.1.1 with MySQL and Weblogic 10.3

I am trying to bring up Commerce Reference Store as part of my evaluation using MySQL (bundled with ATG) and WebLogic 10.3.
I followed the ATG Documentation on CRS with WebLogic and MySQL and I could not proceed because of the below error log. I keep getting error in OnlineCreateServerInstanceTask of CIM. I believe it should be some configuration problem, but could not think of any.
As part of the installation, I use C:\jdk1.6.0_25. I verified my weblogic server is up through the admin console. I started MySQL before running the eval batch. Apart from starting MySQL server, I did not make any datasource/database configuration changes for ATG. I have not run any other scripts to configure MySQL too.
Please guide me to resolve the problem.

Thanks.This error is resolved after following the logs in C:\ATG\ATG10.1.1\CIM\log\cim.log. The root cause is I used http as protocol instead of t3 while specifying weblogic admin url.

Mysql driver and Jbuilder 2005 foundation
I am trying to connect to a mysql server using jdbc and the mysql drivers. Specifically version 3.1.7. I will post my code here although I believe the code is correct and that I have a classpath issue with jbuilder. The error I am receiving on both build and run time is:

Again I am running the free version which does not allow me to access the enterprise tab, I mention this because I saw a solution to this issue that allowed for importing the database driver using tools/enterprisesetup/database drivers. but I do not have access to this functionalitity.
