MySQL connection failed (Kindly HELP!)
Hi,
I have MySQL5.0 runing on my computer. From JCreator 2 I added a definition for MySQL server as explained in many docs. When I tried to add a data source and test the connection, a strange message comes out :
alert dialog only having the word "failed".
The strange thing is that the same setting worked with Exadel studio.
Did anyone have the same problem before?
It woked.
I uninstalled the creator , install again and it worked.

This is driving me round the bend have searached all forums
and nothing is pointing me in the right direction.
1) First question, can I actually use dreamweaver MX 2004 to
create ASP.NET VB pages and connect to a MYSQL database?
The reason I ask is I have set up a system DSN in >
control panel > administrative tools > Datasources (ODBC)
All works fine connection is successful etc. (MySQl ODBC 3.51

I then open dreamweaver, create new ASP.NET VB page. Go to
the databases panel click the + sign and have 2 options:
OLE DB connection or SQL Server connection. I assume its not
the latter as that is for SQL seerver not MySQL. I have tried every
combination of the OLE DB connection (2options - Templates or
Build)

Oracle (Microsoft Provider)

Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Access 97 (Jet 3.5 provider)
Microsoft Access 2000 (Jet 4 provider)

I don't think any of the above are correct for connecting to
a MySQL database, so I try:

1st option - Use data source name which has a dropdown box
and I can choose my dsn as mentioned earlier.
or 'Use connection String' - I Don't use
2nd Option Logon to server info
Username ***Is this the username and password of mySQL
database because if so it doesn't work, have also tried leaving it
bland and every time i do a test after choosing the initial catalog
to use I get the eror message:
Test connection failed because of an error in intialising
provider. Catastrophic failure!
All I want to is connect to a bl**dy databse so I can teach
myself the basics but can't get past this first hurdle.

PasswordFor your eMac, you will need to go with a *miniDV camcorder*, such as the Canon ZR series (current lineup is the ZR900/930/950/960). They all have image stabilization & take stills; the 900, 930 and 960 also have an external mic input.
You may also want to look into an earlier Canon Optura or Elura series camcorder or similar miniDV camcorder from Sony, JVC, Panasonic, etc. There aren't many new miniDV models available anymore, but you can still find them and they are on the lower end of the price scale these days!
B&H Photo is a great supplier to deal with and you will be hard pressed to find prices lower elsewhere.
The eMac does not support AVCHD, so that eliminates any of those newer camcorders (you need an Intel based Mac to capture & edit AVCHD video). The Canon FS line unfortunately records to MPEG2 MOD files, which needs to be converted before it can be imported into iMovie or Final Cut Express. And the conversion is not simple. -

MySQL Connection failed ServerScipt file are disappearing
Running CCS Dreamweaver, Mac OS 10.7.5. MAMP Local Server is working.
I have a sucessful connection on Manage Site>Server>Local Server
I am trying to connect a database through Window>Database>MySQL Connection.
1, I have copied the /MMHTTPDB.php and the mysql.php file to my sites mmServerScript folder. As per Adobe
I get this error message:
The files (mysql.php,mmServerScript ) I copied in to my web site folder are now gone from the website>mmServerScript folder.
I did it three times! All the same results.

Looking at the error message you have got, you have not defined your site in the MAMP server root (/Applications/MAMP/htdocs). Also, you don't need to copy the MMHTTPDB.php and the mysql.php files. Dreamweaver does that automatically for you.
You should also realize that the name of the folder that contains those files begins with an underscore. It's _mmServerScripts, not mmServerScripts.
Finally, be warned that the PHP server behaviors in Dreamweaver are deprecated. They use code that will be removed from a future version of PHP.
Dreamweaver is fine for developing with PHP, but you should be prepared to hand-code PHP scripts if you want your web pages to continue to work in future. -
Weblogic8.1 and mysql connection failure, please help
Pardon me for repeating this topic. I have spent 2 days on this but still ended
up with failure.
The similar configuration works very well under wls7.0.
It should not be a problem of jdbc driver or its classpath setting, since the
system console say "successful..."
But when I try to access jsp and servlets, it always throws execeptions. All projects
run successfully under wls7.0 don't work.
Please give me some advice, thanks in advance.

I configured a user "test" with password "test" on the database "mysql" on "localhost" using

3. It assumes that you have downloaded the Connector/J zip file and pulled out the jar file.
In my case, I renamed it and copied it to d:/mysql/lib/jdbc.jar.
4. It is absolutely necessary that you put the jar file in your server classpath. It won't
work without doing that. Then I booted the server.
5. I used the WLS 8.1 console to configure the connection pool and associated data source.
In my case, they look like the following:

Note that the console uses the old class name for the driver. There is a new class name but
the old name still exists and we figured it would cover folks using the old and new classes.
6. I'll attach a client program that looks up the datasource associated with the connection pool,
gets a connection, and does some stuff with the connection.
The user/password combination must have security priviledges in WLS to reserve a connection
on the pool.
The code for this program is taken almost entirely from the WLS JDBC documentation.
This is all pretty standard stuff.

How can I increase the range of my Airport Extreme? I don't live in a particular large house...I just want to be able to use the internet throughout my house. I purchased the Airport Extreme on the understanding that I would be able to access the Wifi connection throughout the house. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong, if anything?

MarcellinusYou can't delete the installed iOS firmware. What version are you currently running and do you want to update to iOS 7.0.4?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 7.0.4. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.
You can no longer update to iOS 6.x, or down grade the iOS.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and antivirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

How to Upgrade to iOS 7
The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
Go into the iPad's Settings.
Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
To upgrade using iTunes:
First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
Now you are ready to begin the process:
If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.

mysql connection using DW wizard, i already follow the step:
1. create / manage site
2. choose document type
3. set up testing server ( i use php mysql @ localhost)
and when i create new connection (fill the hostname,
username, password, and select databases) it failed and show
message "unidentified error occur".
it never happen before (before i re format my computer).
can anyone help me how to solve this problem.

Hi there, I am trying to connect to my server at work from home using a vpn connection. It connects fine and the time ticks along, but when i click go - connect to server, it comes up with connection failed. Please help!

If you're trying to connect to a Bonjour server on the remote network, that won't work over a layer 3 VPN. Use something like Hamachi or one of the SSH-tunnelling Bonjour proxy apps for that. -

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
If nothing above helped, restart your router.

Ever since the middle of April my facetime stoped working for some apparent reason. How to Alert RFC connection failure via message mapping? Kindly Help!

I have a JMS - XI - RFC scenario.
JMS receives the Rosattenet PIP contents and sends it to RFC function module in remote SAP R/3 system.
I have a requirement where I have to monitor RFC connection failure because of the remote R/3 system being down. I have to send a email alert where the subject contains the PIP number to understand for which PIP the connection failed.
The PIP number exists in the PIP content at the interface.
If I use the Alert configuration in the runtime workbench for monitoring then I cannot dynamically pass the PIP number.
Only way I think of triggering alert is in the message mapping via a Java UDF.
But I am not sure how can I do this? How do I check in the UDF if RFC connection has failed? Is this the correct approach?
How to acheive my requirement? Note that my email subject content is dynamic bacause if PIP number.
Please help!

The easiest way to do what u want inside a UDF is to
1. use JCo to try estabilish a connection to the remote SAP System
2. if that fails, use JavaMail to send an email message
Let your UDF work on the PIP number, accepting it as input, and (maybe) returning it as output if everything goes ok. Otherwise break the mapping execution as described by Michal in one of his last weblog (using Dynamic Configuration).
Note that the above method doesn't guarantee that the message will be actually delivered, as some seconds could last between your check and the real RFC delivery operated by the Adapter Engine...
I am evaluating a way to do the same with Alert Framework. I will let you know the result!

I have to apply support packages to it .
After fresh installation , i configured TMS and now when i check the tp as
