MySQL Local Connection Quit

Today my system can no longer connect with my local mysql service.  Navicat can still connect with it but local web pages don't connect.  This is with no changes on my part (deliberately, anyway).  Have there been updates that could have caused this?

It could mean that MySQL Service isn't running.  Have you checked from Windows task Manager from Services whether the service is running or not?
Hope this gives you a start to find the solution.

  • MySQL gateway connection

    Looks like plenty of folks here have similar problems getting the dg4odbc gateway working for MySQL. Hope someone that's tackled this can help me out.
    Our configuration is such that we have our gateway machine separate from our Oracle database, and the MySQL machine is yet another server. We have installed and configured the gateway along with the unixODBC gateway and the MySQL connector. Running ./isql from the gateway successfully connects to the MySQL database and returns rows from specified tables.
    Our difficulty is with setting up the listener.ora (on the gateway) and tnsnames.ora (on the Oracle host). Here are the contents of those files:
    listenter.ora:

    Maybe it is sufficient to get the part where the libodbc.so library is loaded, so check where you'll find it in the strace file and provide this info until the error is visible in the traceHopefully this is what you wanted from truss.

  • CS3 mysql database connection using php

    Hi, this is my first time trying to connect to a database.  I have created a mysql database with my hosting provider.  I am also configured to use php. I have ready numerous threads on this topic, but am still confused.
    I am getting the following error message:
    When I enter the following information into the connection string, I get the following error Error http error code 404 file not found. The site does not map to ftp.readyhosting.com/_mmserverscripts/mmhttdb.php Is the location of mysql server correct? Connection name ? user defined ?aosprod?
    Mysql server = aoswebeditor.readyhostingmysql.com.  Also, this is not the same location as the web server.
    The hosting company provides the following php code to connect to the database.
    <?php
    $link = mysql_connect('aoswebeditor.readyhostingmysql.com', 'aosweb', '*password*');
    if (!$link) {
        die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error());
    echo 'Connected successfully';
    mysql_select_db(aos);
    ?>
    Because of the connection dialog boxes in CS3, I have not used this php code but only used the mysql server aoswebeditor.readyhostingmysql.com.
    My requirements are very simple, I want to use the same remote database for the dreamweaver connection for the remote and testing server.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks. George

    First of all, you seem to be mixed up about terminology. ASP stands for Active Server Pages, and is a type of server technology similar to PHP. I think you mean ISP (Internet Service Provider). However, this is not correct, either. An ISP provides your connection to the internet. Although some ISPs also host websites for their customers, your website is normally located at a hosting company. You need to get that mixup out of the way. Otherwise, you might confuse people with future questions about ASP, when you actually mean something completely different.
    OK, lecture over...
    Your hosting company is following standard procedure by preventing remote access to MySQL databases. However, Dreamweaver does make it possible to use your remote database and website for testing purposes. It does so by uploading a hidden folder called _mmServerScripts to your remote server. This performs a local connection with your database, and then sends the results back to your local computer. When setting up your testing server definition in Dreamweaver, you need to provide the details as I indicated before. When creating a MySQL connection in Dreamweaver, fill in the server name and account details as given to you by your hosting company. If everything is set up correctly, you should be able to use your remote server and database for testing.
    Having said that, it is much better to install a local testing environment. You'll find it faster, and it also lets you make mistakes (an essential part of the learning process) in the security of a closed environment. For details of how to set up a local testing environment, see this article in the Adobe Developer Connection.

  • Mysql.sock - connection error (code 2002)

    Performed a clean install of SL Server.
    Enabled Web and MySQL services.
    When using GUI (SequelPro of MySQL GUI Tools) I get a mysql.sock connection error.
    "Could not connect to MySQL instance at localhost. Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) (code 2002)"
    The database location of MySQL is /var/mysql. Thus a reference to /tmp/mysql.sock is obviously wrong.
    The file /var/mysql/mysql.sock does exist but apparently no reference is made to this file.

    It looks looks like the Sequel Pro app is guessing incorrectly that the mysql.sock is in /tmp. If that's the problem, you should be able to fix it by going to Sequel Pro's Connection panel and entering the correct path, which is /var/mysql/mysql.sock.

  • Please help setting up Mysql ASP connection on a Mac DW8

    Dear All
    I have posted previously but I still have not solved this
    problem, and really need anybody with a mac DW setup to give some
    advice. I have spoken to Adobe and trawled the net looking for a
    solution to getting ASP and DW working on a mac. I know I need a
    windows machine and a local network which I have. I have a real
    issue making a database connection from within dreamweaver.
    Please help anybody with experience.
    Many thanks in advance
    Graham

    I don't know how you can define the MySQL database connection
    string in DW,
    because I only use DW for layout purposes (HTML + CSS). But I
    have an
    ASP/VBscript site running against a MySQL database, and it
    successfully uses
    the following connection string:
    "DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};SERVER=" & myDBhost
    & ";DATABASE=" &
    myDBname & ";USER=" & myDBuserid & ";PASSWORD="
    & myDBpassword &
    ";OPTION=3;"
    Hope this helps.

  • EPM Error while creating a local connection

    Hello everyone,
    I am a Dashboards designer and am new to BPC 10 MS. I am working on a dashboard that connects to BPC 10 MS to retrieve data via the EPM Connector. For this a 'Local' connection type must be used when creating the report in the Excel sheet using the EPM Add-In. I tried to create one but am facing a curious error which does not seem to be a known issue. I have installed the ODBO Client and therefore can create a local connection of type 'SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation'. Once I select this provider I entered my application server name and chose Windows Authentication for BPC MS as I have the service account credentials. I encountered an EPM - General error with the following text: Error while communicating with the server. Details: Framework message: Authorization failed. This error shows even if I'm using Excel and not Dashboards. If I use a different connector, I am able to access all the BPC data just fine. However, with local type (which is needed for the dashboard connector) it just doesn't work. I tried reinstalling the EPM Add-In as well as the EPM Connector without any change to the error.
    I am using Win7 32-bit, Excel 2010 32-bit, ODBO Client SP12, EPM Excel Client SP16 Patch 1, BPC 10 MS server SP08, Dashboards 4.1 SP1.
    Has anyone come across this before? Any help would be great as I'm very much stuck at this point.

    Hi thanks for the reply.
    Although , I am though a bit baffled by your reply.
    Where is it that you want me to add the URL.Not add the URL - change the one you have. Read the docs for the connector and follow that.
    And where else should i place that jar file.I put it in my CLASSPATH, close to where the source for my project is. (That means not in one place, but several places. I duplicate the JAR file for every app that needs it.)
    Cos I follow the tutorial at...
    http://www.stardeveloper.com/articles/display.html?art
    icle=2003090201&page=4.
    Unless You are saying that the above site is wrong..
    If thats the case, can you point out another
    alternative site which can guide me along .No time to read that site, nor do I have the interest.
    The Sun Java tutorial is sufficient for using JDBC. As far as how you package and deploy apps, that's another matter. You should be using the class name and URL that your JDBC driver docs suggest.

  • How to access local connection factory created within Foreign Server in OSB

    Hi All
    I am facing an issue in my config plan. We have a RIB Foreign server with the following local connection factory:
    jms/RibAqJmsXATopicConnectionFactory
    I am using the below in my configuration plan:
    <cus:envValueAssignments>
    <xt:envValueType>Service URI</xt:envValueType>
    <xt:location xsi:nil="true"/>
    <xt:owner>
    <xt:type>ProxyService</xt:type>
    <xt:path>RLTPReturnToWarehouse/ProxyServices/ConsumeRIBRTWMessages</xt:path>
    </xt:owner>
    <xt:value xsi:type="xs:string" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">jms://localhost:7001/jms.RibAqJmsXATopicConnectionFactory/jms.etASNInFromRIBToWH1</xt:value>
    </cus:envValueAssignments>
    and i am getting the below error:
    [java]
    [java] Loading customization File ./dev/OSBCustomizationFile.xml
    [java] Customization applied to the created resources only []
    [java] com.bea.wli.config.customization.EnvValueCustomization@553c13

    [java] com.bea.wli.sb.transports.TransportException: Failed to lookup connection factory jms.RibAqJmsXATopicConnectionFactory
    what am i missing here?

    [java] com.bea.wli.sb.transports.TransportException: Failed to lookup connection factory jms.RibAqJmsXATopicConnectionFactory
    Looks like the JNDI that you created for the ConnectionFactory is not reflected in the server.
    Login to WLS Console> Summary of Servers > server_name > View JNDI Tree
    Browse to the JNDI tree and see if your JNDI is visible there. If it is not then, please restart the server and recheck.
    Once you are able to find it in the JNDI tree, then execute the customization file.
    If you have modified the existing JNDI properties (that have a small exclamatory symbol) then any changes to those are not reflected till all the servers in the cluster are restarted.
    If it still does not work, then recreate a new Connection with a different name and then retry. It should work then.
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • Change local connection string on remote server

    Hello,
     I have searched every post and tried every connection string there but can't figure out how to connect to my database on my  remote server. I am using Visual Developer 2005 Express Edition in C# and uploading it to a Windows server running asp.net 2.0. The domain has not resolved yet.
    I am so new to this and have followed many tutorials step by step but none of them address this issue. They just show how to upload it to the server.
    Do I need to use the SQL server provided by my host or can the database stay in the App_Data folder?
    My local connection string works locally:
      <add name="ConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\add_newSQL.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"
       providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    When I uploaded to my server I changed \SQLEXPRESS  to (local) as advised in the forum.
    <add name="ConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=(local);AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\add_newSQL.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"
    providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    When I debug a page I get the <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    error message even thought I have already set it in my remote web.config file which may be causing problems itself:
    <configuration>
    <appSettings/>
    <connectionStrings>
    <add name="ConnectionString" connectionString="Data Source=(local);AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\add_newSQL.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True"
    providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    </connectionStrings>
    <system.web>
    <customErrors mode="Off" />
    <compilation debug="false" />
    <authentication mode="Windows" />
    </system.web>
    </configuration>
    Thanks for any help you can offer. I wish I could find someone to hire to do this part for me or teach me how over the phone. Any suggestions?

    Is this still an issue?

  • Lose WiFi connection keep local connection

    Several times now I have lost internet connection but am able to keep the local connection part. Yellow triangle states on WiFi signal icon that I have lost internet portion of connection. I run Network troubleshooter and it says its resetting the Wireless device but my internet connection does not return. Its only after I turn off the WiFi and back on that my connection to the internet is avaialable.  I have run HP support and have all the driver updates and Windows updates.
    So far none of my other devices experience this issue. I know this notebook has a Realtek WiFi card which I know is not the greatest for reliability. Realtek and me go back many notebooks with connection issues. Its like they work only when they feel like it.  Guess this Stream probably has a WiFi card soldered to the motherboard. So I guess replacing it is out of the question. Hope someone has some other ideals or maybe Windows 8.1 is to blame?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    After doing more digging I found several other people user this same WiFi card having similar issues. One person even went so far as to say its a on chip firmware issue and others claim a Windows 8.1 issues which they are working to resolve.
    In any case I go days without issue and use my Stream 11 a lot for business. So I guess the issue is not affecting me too bad.
