N73 Real Player very quiet
Sorry if this has been brought up before.
I recently bought an N73. One of the reasons I got it was to watch bits of video on my long journey to and from work. When I play a 3gp file via Real Player, the sound is barely audible through the headphones. If there's any kind of outside sound, I can't hear a thing. Oddly, the sound seems OK through the phone's built-in speakers. Also any other sound is OK through the headphones.
The problem seems to lie either with the firmware (V 2.0628.0.0.1), or with Real Player (V s60.30.19.02 D 18 May 2006). I think I'm up to date.
Does anyone know of a fix for this, or have I just bought a turkey?
Thanks for any help.
You should have a network locked version... Do backup of phone content, and after that, do a phone reset *#7780#, before a phone format, and see it it works better.

On all three of my Macs, I've found that the DVD Player outputs sound at such a low level compared to the rest of the system that in order to play a DVD at a good enough volum I have to turn up the system volume so high that every other sound (including Adium sign-ins etc, the timing of which I obviously can't control) is almost deafening.
Is there a way to increase the volume that the program considers "maximum"? Or some other work-around that doesn't involve decreasing the relative volumes of every other app and service on my dock.I have the Dolby DRC settings exactly how I want them and I wouldn't enable the bloody thing for love nor money!
If the fact is that DVD audio tracks are mastered lower than all other audio sources, then I guess Apple is to blame for nothing other than not compensating for DVD publishers' idiocy by implementing some sort of Sound Check in to the DVD Player. I suppose my problem with the overpowering system events is just a matter of taste again and what I call "almost deafening" ... but they're certainly too loud. At least, until I changed the EQ settings. So as long as there aren't any system events when I play DVDs with Front Row (which ignores the DVD Player settings) I should be fine! -

How can i create playlist of video song for real player of n73. No option to create playlist or tracklis in real player n73. please help me.
You can create a playlist for RealOne player by adding several entrys to the ram-file. This works for local playback also.
Here's an example:
suppose you have two RM files (audio1.rm & audio2.rm) present in "Audios" Directory of MMC then just create a file in notepad
with following entries:
file:///e:/Audios/audio1.rm
file:///e:/Audios/audio2.rm
Save the file as a ram-file (filename.ram) and send it to your phone.
Now when u play this .ram file to ur RealPlayer the songs will be played automatically one by one :-)
Note:
1. obviously this .RAM file is a TEXT file.
2. Use E:/ for MMC & C:/ for Phone Memory

mp4 videos that I play in Real Player in my N73 after 2 or 3 min gets jerked for a sec & then play normally afterwards & then again after 2 or 3 min...on smartmmovie this jerk is minor compareto that in Real Player...
is there any way to update real player???
the version of real player on my phone is: s60.30.35.01 DÂ (27 Aug '07)
the more I help....the more I feel good...dude, I gotten rid off the ol' phones almost a year back, do not wanna remeber any more ol' clashes.
For speeding up and such you can try our tricks and tips section, you can know everything about vdieo processes from el_loco-our video guru.
For even better, try to upgrade your phone..my N79 very gud at web browsing and real player plays theH.264/AVC files just fine and smoothly.
For that themes, well I faced such dilemma for uninstalled applications being displayed on app mngr. In that case I had to connect my phone by mass memory mode and delete the data files named as a000b2c etc.. -
Does anyone know a video converter for a video file for internet video recordings. IVR file. I can get it to work on real player on my windows but can not open it on my mac.
Try downloading and using VLC. It is a very popular media player that plays just about every file format out there. That way you would not need to convert it.

Hi
I recently bought a zen mp3 from 32 GB
but now I've put some songs on it and the sound is very quiet, even when I put it on 25 !
my brother has a zen mp3 of 8 GB and his sound is very loud at 25.
Does anyone knows how i can get the songs to play louder?
thanks
sjeschesHi,
I had a similar problem with my ZEN, the sound was just too low for my requirements as I listen to it a lot along busy roads where there is a lot of noise. I assume that you have the European firmware on your ZEN, check it, the European firmware ends in an "e". If so, you might try downloading and installing the US firmware which you can download from the US site. Download the US firmware first before throwing out the European firmware, then install the US firmware. This is much louder than the Euopean firmware, I believe this is because in Europe the authorities want to protect their young people from ruining their hearing and therefore restrict the volume of players.
Now that I have the US firmware on my ZEN I have no problem with the sound anymore.
Have fun with your player!

Extremely poor sound quality on all apps after using Real Player!
Hi there
On my Leopard iMac (Core2Duo) I am experiencing extremely poor 'lo-fi-like' quality on all audio from all applications including iTunes, Quicktime and Safari as a result of using Real Player to play a file online.
I very rarely use Real Player and this was the first time I'd used it in months to even a year. The file was a simple RAM file from a store website allowing me to listen to a sample of a music file. When played, the quality was low but I expected this from a music sample, and from Real Player. However, after closing Real Player, I noticed the sound quality had dramatically dropped to an almost un-listenable quality.
I have restarted and uninstalled Real Player with no luck. The poor sound quality still comes through my internal speakers, as well as external speakers, so it seems like a software issue.
Not sure what to do, please can anyone help as the audio is used all day every day on this iMac!
Thank youJust tried it as I did get iLife with my Mac. GarageBand froze for the first few times I loaded it up, then I managed to get it to work. Played with the on-screen keyboard which produced perfect sound.
Closed GarageBand, restarted iTunes, tested, working perfectly! Crystal clear sound back again!
Thanks so much for that, really appreciated!

Safari & Real Player Plugin on MacBook Pro
After installing Real Player (latest version from their web-site) on my brand new MacBook Pro (all udpates performed) some embedded real content does not play automatically and in fact the web-sites informs me that I would not have real player installed.
When performing the very same action on my other Mac that is a G4 machine it works perfectly. Also, when checking the pluging in the Safari Help section, real player does not show up on my intel based system while it does on the PPC machines.
Any hints?
PatrickI'm trying to view webTV through MediaCentral & it says realplayer isn't installed. I just downloaded real & it still won't work, even with everything set to open using Rosetta. Anyone seen this?

Slow and jumping Real Player 10
I've installed the Real Player 10 on my Arch box. Now when I try to watch a real video stream with Firefoy 1.0.3 it doesn't work very well.
The video is often really slow and jumps all the time. Sometime it works synchronous to the audio stream but this is really seldom and just for short.
I've made a link from my firefoy install directory ("/opt/mozilla/") to "/opt/Real10/mozilla/nphelix.so" where my realplayer is installed. I don't have a very fast system (P III 600 Mhz with 192 MB RAM)
but I don't think it's because of that. In windows I can look realplayer video streams very well.
Does anybody know a solution for this problem, are there any hints, or did I miss something?
Thank you in advance :-)Use MPlayer and mplayer-plugin. If you like Xine better, then try using it with Mozplugger, which is available via the AUR. GXine also has a Mozilla plugin.

Two weeks ago the latest flash player was downloaded and installed. Now I find flash player was a trial ware program that requires payment so I put real player into my computer because it's free. Currently I'm unable to use Firefox without flash player wanting to load? Internet Explorer works fine, do I need to remove Firefox and replace it with Internet Explorer or chrome as my default browser?
Sorry, I have no idea what you may have installed that wants payment now. Adobe doesn't charge end users for the Flash Player ''(or Shockwave for Director)'', they get paid by the developers who publish Flash SWF files via the development programs the individual developers purchase, AFAIK. Maybe you installed something that wasn't intended for end users.
Real Player doesn't play the SWF format files by default. A format that is for Adobe Flash presentations.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flash#Format
Unless someone has come up with an optional Plugin for Real Player that isn't widely distributed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Player#Formats_supported_by_optional_plug-ins
Your '''''More system details''''' listed next to your initial posting here doesn't show a Flash Plugin for Firefox, so I have no idea what you installed that wants payment.
Please see this support article - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-flash-plugin-view-videos-animations-games
Internet Explorer uses the ActiveX version of Flash, and Chrome comes with its' own version of Flash because Google has no problem with working a deal to include proprietary software in Chrome.
Mozilla on the other hand is very rigid at making sure that Firefox is completely open source, and without proprietary software as part of the standard installation.
