N97 java script enabled problem...

hello i hope someone can help me,i bought a symbian dice game from handango,i had big problems trying to download it on to my phone,they mailed me back with a web address so that i can do it OTA,i can manage to get to site ok and then ready to down load,this message comes up and stops me frm downloading.
the message is as follows
Handango.com
requires java script enabled browser to view
pls enable java script on your current browser
or download a latest version!!!
i have gone into
options
settings
general
java/ECMA
and enabled but itdont seem to work
any help would be really appreiciated
and many thanks in advance...

It could be that handango or whatever site u using is just not optimized for mobile browser

    iPads do not directly support Flash.
    You can look for Flash Browsers in the App store for some options to try. Support is not 100%, but maybe one may work for you.  Browsers like Puffin, Skyfire, Photon etc...
    IPads do fully support JavaScript.  Just make sure its turned on under Settings->Safari->Advanced->JavaScript.
    If you require Java, which is completely different to JavaScript, again there are some browsers in the App store that support it.  Search for "Java browsers" in the store.

    I use Firefox as my browser and through the use of NoScript generally do not have Java Scripting active. Although I can often tell just by the behavior of a page I visit that I need to enable some Javascripts, I often get a clear message from the website itself - something like "we see that you do not have Java script enabled, please do so" or perhaps "without Javascript you cannot view this site properly."
    Now, I can just put a general message on the "splash page" saying "this website requires Java script to be enabled" for every visitor to see, but I would rather have the message just for those that need to see it because Java script is disabled.  How do I do that?

    Thank you Marion, I have done that (with you name attached, it was after all your idea!
    BUT - I have discovered the following: dropping the "noscript text on the page to create an HTML object works and the "your browser. . ." text appears when Javascript is turned off, and just where I want it !
    Now I just have to teach myself enough coding that I can set the text size and color and I'll drop this baby on every page. Whoopee! 
    This is the script I used. I put a several extra spaces in the code here cause I wasn't sure what effect it would have  on the post and I don't know how to insert one of those script windows in the post.

  • Jave script enabled is checked in Options but webex says can't start due to Jave being disabled

    Need to enable Java script. When I look in the Options menu the box is checked that corresponds to Enable Java.
    However I cannot start Webex becasue a dialog box opens that says Java script is not enabled in the browser.

    Ok guy's i'm new with "Javascript", i decide to make vote script for all user's in xtremetop100.com
    So here we go:
    i trying make javascript function that check every 1 sec if iframe url is correct
    So that's mean when i finish voting on that url, the javascript function will notice that iframe url is changed so
    after iframe url is changed ( by voting ), then it will be show me message " Thank u for vote ".

    My Menu Bar and some other entries for AltaVista and BabelFish translators (images) do not display (load)

    There are two different versions of Flash, one version for IE (ActiveX) and another version for all other browsers (Plugin version). You need to install the Plugin version,

  • YouTube and Yahoo problems - Enable Java Script or Download Latest Flash???

    For a number of weeks, I have had problems with browsing certain sites. I initially noticed that some adverts had a connection error on web pages that were displaying their content fine in every other way.
    I then noticed that I couldn't access any page to do with Yahoo (connection error). I assumed that Yahoo was down until I tried to access YouTube where all that is displayed is a white page with all the text from the page in columns down the left hand side.
    There is an error message that tells me to check that Java Script is Enabled or to download the latest Flash Player.
    I have checked Java Script (enabled) and uninstalled / reinstalled latest Adobe Flash, but still have the same issue. I have the same problem with Firefox 2 and 3, and even installed Opera and got the same problem.
    All the forums and support pages I can find don't seem to come up with a definitve answer.
    This is the first REAL issue I have had with my Mac since I have had it and it has never let me down untill now......HELP!!

    Could it be a routing problem even though I never used to have this problem with the current router and provider?
    There are also three other laptops using the same router and provider (all PCs), they all have no problems connecting to YouTube, Yahoo, etc.
    Is it possible that a routing problem would only affect my Mac?
    I have tried Safari, Firefox (2 & 3) and Opera. All have same issue.
    I think I have cleared cache, can someone confirm the correct procedure?

    Sub Problem:
    I am making an array of quads of all the hyperlinks in a document. I would like to automatically skip over all the bookmarks in the starting pages of a document and just get the links of the hyperlinks.
    Now I have to manually set the pages that contain bookmarks so they are not included in the array.
    Is there any way to determine if a link is a book mark or hyperlink in java script?
    It would help automate the conversion I need below

    I have been working on converting a set of pdf files with 1000’s of hyperlinks like www.site.com\folder1\file1.pdf#page=10
    To jump to a local copy of the files with a relative type link
    ../folder1/file1.pdf and then go to the proper page.
    I have found that it can be done manually by changing the hyperlink to a javascript

    and setting each destination file with a disclose()=true;

    I have resorted to the following plan using acrobat javascript, an external keyboard macro recorder and excel in combination to get around the problem
    Four folder level acrobat javascripts with “buttons”
    One to get all the link quads in an array, in the pdf and report the total number
    The second creates a form field in the far corner of the first page and moves there.
    The third jumps to each link found by creating a form field just to the left of the link and zooms in so it can be selected by a “mouse click” from the keyboard macro recorder 
    The forth deletes the form field
    The keyboard macro recorder runs javascript 2 and then 3 then clicks on the link just to the right of the middle of the screen and uses keys to get to the advanced editing to get to edit the hyperlink .
    The hyperlink is then copied to excel where it is converted using string functions to the needed javascript text to be copied back.
    To the acrobat file into a java script (after deleting the hyperlink)
    Rinse/lather/repeat
    I have been able to convert about 150 links an hour.
    Better then hand typing, but not like having java access to the links.
    I am looking to improve the solution

  • Internet explorer allows me to open certain information/tabs which are somehow connected to java script but Firefox won't. This just started happening a few days agoyet my javca script is enabled. what is the problem/fix. I'm a novice with computers

    I am not sophisticated at understanding computer language. What I know is that 3 things have happened in the last 2 weeks.
    1.My yahoo account which I go to from Mozilla firefox 4.0.1 now requires me to click on a link that says it disables updates. Then my homepage seems to be ok/normal except:
    2.One of the email links tries to open a site called Ok Cupid and that site is really distorted and unreadable
    3. another website www.texastrails.org has a tab called 'docs' which can be reached from "member portal". There should be documents in Word and adobe reader on the left side of the screen which can be opened normally. These do not exist now and the texas trails webmaster says it has to do with Java Script. (it does open in Internet Explorer)
    Why would these two sites open in IE but not firefox?
    Note that I went to "My Computer" and found I have environment 5.0 Java6 update 24 and J2SE Runtime environment 5.0update 6 on different lines. I have no clue what these mean:-)
    I also click on Firefox "tools" and see that java is checked/enabled.

    This is not an answer. I have the same problem, what gives? None of the "solutions" have worked. The only thing left I haven't tried is resetting my IP an disabling my routers firewall, which is dangerous. Guess I might just keep on using IE instead, sure it's annoying, but hey it works.

    I have this strange problem that no one seems to know why or how to fix it.Whenever I encounter a web site that has java scripting for anything pop ups or redirects to url's anything that says java script when I mouse over the link my browsers do nothing.That is for explorer 6.0 beta netscape 4.7 and netscape version 6.I have tried in another forum some suggestions but nothing changed even though I am told nothing is wrong with the java scripting.I used to be able to click java script's with all of these browsers but no longer.That was a few months ago.Now to try something new I tried to see if a new browser would work.I now have the latest version of Opera.It did work but using Opera on some sites limits what I can do so it doesn't solve my problem.Then I tried the Sun JavaHot browser it also worked but limits what I can do on some site's.I have Windows 98 & updated most of my dll's etc & my java is version 2 1.3.1.My java script is enabled in Explorer & netscape's & the security is at a minimum level.Please help me figure out why these other browsers work but the other's do not.I want to edit a web site of mine but I can't because of this problem.I am very frustrated by this and need as detailed help as I can get.Anything of a suggestion would be very much appreciated.But I am also not an expert on the working's of a computer so bear with me.

    Well I am thinking that if anyone could know something about Java script it would be java developers.But anyways I had the previous version of explorer 5.0 & the java didn't work in it either.Now how weird is this,I opened netscape 4.7 today & the java scripts are suddenly working.This has me scratching my head wondering if my computer is possesed by some force beyond my capability to know...????Weird as it seems though the explorer still will not respond to a java script.

    I'm using the below java script code in my VB 6.0 application for enabling commets options in the PDF file

    Can anyone suggest the way to enable 'comment' options in Acrobat Standard 9.0 using Java Script Object?

    I get much the same problem with VB6, Acrobat 9 Pro and WinXP SP3. When I single step the line:
    oJSO.Collab.showAnnotToolsWhenNoCollab = True
    in debug I go to the error handler for my Sub. Inspecting the VB Err object has Number = -2147417851 and Description = "Automation error
    The server threw an exception." I get a Microsoft crash notice about Acrobat a short while later.
    I've experimented with the JavaScript debugger in Acrobat and you can execute Collab.showAnnotToolsWhenNoCollab = True and reference the value of Collab.showAnnotToolsWhenNoCollab in the console. The problem appears only when accessing Acrobat Javascript through the Interapplication Communication API.
    If anyone can help it would be appreciated. I tried Adobe's Acrobat support and they were no help at all.
