How do I show visitors w/o Java "You need java script enabled to view this site" ?
I use Firefox as my browser and through the use of NoScript generally do not have Java Scripting active. Although I can often tell just by the behavior of a page I visit that I need to enable some Javascripts, I often get a clear message from the website itself - something like "we see that you do not have Java script enabled, please do so" or perhaps "without Javascript you cannot view this site properly."
Now, I can just put a general message on the "splash page" saying "this website requires Java script to be enabled" for every visitor to see, but I would rather have the message just for those that need to see it because Java script is disabled. How do I do that?

Thank you Marion, I have done that (with you name attached, it was after all your idea!
BUT - I have discovered the following: dropping the "noscript text on the page to create an HTML object works and the "your browser. . ." text appears when Javascript is turned off, and just where I want it !
Now I just have to teach myself enough coding that I can set the text size and color and I'll drop this baby on every page. Whoopee!
This is the script I used. I put a several extra spaces in the code here cause I wasn't sure what effect it would have on the post and I don't know how to insert one of those script windows in the post.

When I went and connected my phone to my laptop and hit restore and it got rid of everything my photos my contacts everything and I don't know how to get the stuff back and if you need to know I have an IPhone4S
I take it you were replacing an older iPhone and this was the first time you plugged it in? If so, that's what happens. It restored the backup of your old phone. A backup of the current phone is not made in those circumstances.
If that's not what happened, you need to clarify. -
I don't know if this is a Firefox problem so I ask, When printing how come it always prints so small I nearly need a magnifying glass? Is this caused by something else I may have set incorrectly? help please, from a very satisfied Firefox user
This only happens when I'm in my browser. Ex. when I'm on a site and I decide I like what I see and want to print it text that is, my printer always prints tiny. When I'm in Microsoft Word for ex. I print it and it looks like what I expect. So I don't know if somehow my printer got set to print tiny when on the web. If you can help me I would be most appreciative. I am participating in an online class whose website uses Microsoft Content Viewer to view the class content. The browser opens a new page, but nothing is there. At the top of the tab it says Microsoft Content Viewer, and nothing else. Can anyone tell me how to view my course using Firefox? I would prefer not to use IE, but it works there.
When originally creating the pdf, you would need to choose another pdf conversion setting. In Word if you use the pdf menu, change your settings there: Adobe PDF > Change Conversion Settings. I would use High Quality Print instead. If you use the File > Print method, click the Properties button next to the Adobe PDF printer selection.
For your already created form, you can change the file so your users will not encounter issues. In Acrobat 9, which hopefully is similar in process to 8: Advanced > Preflight > Profile tab > PDF/A compliance > Remove PDF/A information.(You'll have to unsecure your form first).

I can't find the "Customize view" link, and there call center person wasn't much help. Does the ability top see the shipping cost in the search results still exist?

BillHi Bill, your version of Windows depends on the age of your PC. If it's fairly recent, you may have Windows 7, and if it's a few years old, you may have Windows Vista. Windows XP was released in 2002, but it is still common on business machines. Based on the information in your post, you have Windows 7.
The features you are asking about are available in Firefox's menus. When you are running Firefox, you can access the Options dialog either of these ways:
orange Firefox button > Options
classic Tools menu > Options

How to call a C sort function to sort a Java Array.
My name is David, I'm interning this summer doing some High Performance Computing work. I'm significantly out of my comfort zone here; I am primarily a network/network security geek, not a programming guy. I took one Java based class called problem solving with programming where we wrote like 3 programs in Java and did everything else in pseudocode and using a program called Alice http://www.alice.org/ to do things graphically. Learned basically no actual programming syntax. Also have done some self-taught perl, but only through one book and I didn't finish it, I only got about half way through it. So my expertise in programming are pretty much null.
That being said, I currently am tasked with having to figure out how to make JNI work... specifically at this time I am tasked with writing an array in Java, and designing a C program that can be called by means of JNI to sort the array. I have chosen to work with the Merge Sort algorithm. My method of coding is not one where I write the entire thing from scratch, I don't particularly have a need to master languages at this point, rather I just need to make them work. I am interested in learning, but time is of the essence for me right now. So thus far what I have done is take sample codes and tweak them to meet my purpose. However, I currently am unable to make things work. So I am asking for help.
I am going to paste 3 codes here, the first one will be my basic self-written instructions for JNI (Hello World Instructions), the second one will be my Java Array, and the third one will be my MergeSort function. I am not asking for you to DO my work for me by telling me how to manipulate my code, but rather I am asking for you to send me in the direction of resources that will be of some aid to me. Links, books (preferrably e-books so I don't have to go to a library), anything that you can send my direction that may help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks so much!

Java_JavaArray_MergeSort(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jintArray arr,jint low,jint mid,jint high)A 'jintArray' is already an array, embedded in an object. You don't have an array of them.
So you need to restore that, and the header file, the way 'javah' generated them, then adjust your code to call GetIntArrayElements() to get the elements out of 'arr' into a local int[] array, sort that, and then call ReleaseIntArrayElements() to put them back. -

My raw video is an interview with a talking head. I want the audio portion of the video to continue (with video portion not visible) while I show photos relating to what the head is talking about. How do I do this?

If you want all slides and no video, you can drag just the audio track into your project by selecting it in the Event and holding down Command and Shift while you drag it into the project.

How do I show plays in Artist View in iTunes 11?
I'm looking for a way to show plays in Artist View in iTunes 11. A dialog box pops up when going to View > View Options, but nothing about changing what information can be diplayed.

Thanks!I do not believe you can. If you want to see plays you need to use The songs View. If you turn on the column browser you can select by Album and in the grid below you should see count. If not then View > View Options and select Plays from the Stats section.

Any ideas. This code was taken directly from the Acrobat javascripting Guide. The guide is for version 7, I am using version 9.
JohnYou do not need to use a menu item. You need a script that is at the application folder level, in a batch process, or an added menu item. Adding a menu item requires and application folder level script or console JavaScript.
