  • I am recieving calls from a solicitor. Show up as no caller Id. I want to block all calls that do not show caller Id. Can I do that? I am on the do not call list

How do I block all in coming calls that do not show on my caller Id. Phone says "no caller id" This particular call is from a place selling septic tank cleaner. They leave an automated voice mail. They are calling me over and over. I am on the national do not call list but that's no help. Because the caller id doesn't show anything I can't even report them.
I remember in the past calling a number and before my call would go thru I would have to enter my phone number so the party I was calling knew who was calling them. That is what I want to do. I want to block all calls from "no caller id" "number unavailable" Just FYI my phone is an IPHONE 5 and I am on Verizon.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us today. I know how frustrating it can be getting phone calls from "no caller id" numbers. We do have an option that is called Family Base that will allow you to block unknown numbers, private numbers, or caller id. This link will provide you with the full details of this option. http://vz.to/1gIklla I hope this is able to answer your question. If you have further questions please feel free to reach back out to us at any time.

  • How can I block unwanted calls? (Besides Do Not Call List)

We just moved into our new home and have Verizon's home phone service (and everything else). In less than the month we've been here we've been BOMBARDED by HUNDREDS of solicitors! Half are non-profits, half biz/telemarketers.They're all unwanted (I don't even do charities over the phone). I've never been so overwhelmed with unwanted calls before! (Must be a California thing? We just moved here from Seattle). Our number is on the National Do Not Call registry, but of course that doesn't stop the non-profits, charities and politicians from calling (they're excluded). Nor does it stop the ones who just don't care. I see that Verizon no longer provides the option of blocking unwanted numbers, and it also discontinued the Do Not Disturb feature. There used to be other options from many of the various phone providers to block all calls except those on a pre-approved list of your choosing. Why aren't these options available to us anymore???
I'm thinking... with all this advanced technology...  there MUST be some way to block all those unwanted calls!!??!!
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hello rednorsk
There are a couple of options, including one that is on done through your account online, or by calling customer service and requesting the block.  Customer Service can tell you how many of these blocks can be done for free, and whether you will need a specific plan to cover more.
Here is a thread on just your issue.

  • BUT_NDC & National Do Not Call

Has anyone used the CRM functionality around 'Do Not Call'?  At our current client there is a need to flag customers as 'Do Not Call' based on the National DNC list that is maintained by the Federal Government.  Anyone who does telemarketing is required to abide by the rules defined by the government around these.
Based on my review in the system I can't find anything that updates the following BP tables:
    BUT_DNC / BUT_DNC_OLD
I was able to find one function module for Change Documents BUPA_DNC_WRITE_DOCUMENT but nothing else.  Not sure if this is something SAP supports or not.
    Anyone used this functionality before?
    Thanks
    Sam M.

    Suzette,
Thanks for the information.  I have been using this note for some time, and found it somewhat useful.  We are still in the process of defining our own process with this functionality when we find it to not work all that well.

  • Fms : 'onDisconnect' not called up with MS Internet Explorer users

    Hello
We are using Flash media server 3.5 with Windows.
We have deconnection problems with visitors using Microsoft Internet  Explorer (to be fully confirmed but we are nearly 100% sure) and in chat  rooms; there they wait for their turn to speak to an online consultant,  sometimes this waiting list can be 10 to 15 strong.
Normally, when a client is automatically disconnected from a session,  whatever the reason it is the ‘onDisconnect’ which is called up.
Sometimes and with MS Internet Explorer this is not the case : the  visitor or user is not anymore present in the chat room, he has quit or  he got his interview with the consultant but ‘onDisconnect’ is not  launched.
This causes unexpected problems like one or several people in the  waiting list being kicked out of the ‘room all of a sudden without  explanation for the user.
Normally our consultants are on the air for one hour; after this time  frame another consultant comes into the same chat room and normally he  gets the remaining waiting list from the previous consultant and the  previous hour of chat. Sometimes but often, the new consultant coming in  sees the first one or the first two of the wainting list kicked out of  the list : he then takes the second or third one in the old waiting  list.
This is very annoying and time consuming to respond to legitimate calls from customers.
Have you encountered such a problem, and if so, do you have an answer to the problem ?
    Regards

It's extremely common and is a well known bug of IE. Just do a search of "ghost connections" and "IE" and you'll come up with all kinds of things. Essentially IE doesn't give up the SWF when the browser closes or just the tab is closed.

  • Internal Do Not Call List

How do you talk to a live person at Comcast. I tried calling to get them to get their 800 service people to quit calling here and all I got was machine. Those people called last week and I listened to them and they needed to talk to my husband because the account is in his name. They told him there was a cell phone number blocking the account and he tried telling them there is no cell phone number associated with our  account, which there isn't, just our Comcast home phone number, which they already had because he called it off to me. Anyway because my husband kept telling them there was no cell phone they hung up on him. They continued to call. I have told them 2 times to quit calling here. The last time was about 30 minutes ago. I am not dealing with these people.

  • Call List Issue

    Hi there,
I'm not a novice to BBs however I've come across a tiny issue that I can't seem to sort out.
I have Contacts who have various numbers (for work, home, mobile etc) and on my Contact List they are all saved under their respective names and I utilize the options to add Work, Work 2, Home, Home 2 etc etc etc so that I don't have 4 or so different Contacts for the same person on the Contact List.
That being said, on my Call List I used to be able to view calls (incoming, outgoing, missed) from an individual and it would show up as their name and whatever # they called from at the time. If I scrolled to that name in the Call List and hit the 'menu' button and then 'History' I could then view all the previous calls to/from this person.
Now what has suddenly happened is that each number has shown up separately on my Call List with their own call History.
I prefer it the way it was: One name with the option to view the History from that one name.
    Can anyone assist?
    I would greatly appreciate it!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Wellllllllll, Ive managed to resolve this one myself afterall...lol...
I did do a soft reset a couple times before and it didn't work.
But I tried it again...left the battery out a bit longer and EUREKA! The darn thing started working as it should!
Maybe it was just a fluke but I'll take it!

  • Customer Communication Preferences - Do Not Call & Do Not Email

Oracle leverages Siebel CRM to develop an effective solution to address the Do Not Call and Email Permissible Use requirements. The application uses the Contacts functionality to manage communication preferences, which when defined, centrally synchronizes all contact records that share the same phone number and email address. Additionally, the relevant information is masked so Oracle employees cannot accidentally reach out to the contact. Therefore, the solution ensures that we are compliant with regulations, enables us to respect individuals' communication preferences and provides an audit trail of changes to their preferences.
I am working on R12.1.2 and my customer want this feature to be implemented on our Oracle Application.
My customer asked to implement this my seeing a blog post on Oracle Blogs
    Here is the URL: http://blogs.oracle.com/crm/entry/crm_at_oracle_series_do_not_ca
This is the only hit I found on internet.
did you guys ever worked on this kind of requirement ??
would you guys please help me on how to implement this requirement?

What ever happened to the "Do not call lists"??
I get calls continually from a 616 area code to "lower my credit card interest rate".  It is a scam trying to get credit card numbers.
I block the numbers on my account but within a few day to a week there is another call from 616 area code with the same scam.  How do I get rid of these for good !??!
If you asked to be removed they hang up, if you question what credit card they are calling about they hang up, if you question anything about their service other than being willing to submit your card number they hang up.
BUT, within a few days they call back on a different number, always 616 area code and usually the same exchange and no matter what you do you can't get rid of them unless you block the current number.  HELP!!!
You can report them at donotcall.gov but it probably won't help.  The people dom't seem to care about breaking the law.

  • Assign Script to Call List Business Context

    Hi,
I am battling to find a method to assign an Interactive Script to a call list programatically.
the standard method of achiving this is:
    1. Transaction CRMD_TM_CLDIST
    2. Expand the desired Call List in the left pane
    3. Click on the "Business Context" option in the left pane
    4. In the right pane, click on the "Scroll" icon (Add IC Winclient Script) and select the script to attach.
This process updates field SCRIPT_ID in DataBase table CRMD_TM_CL_CMPGN (which is linked to Entity Type CRM06189).
I have traed and searched for an FM of Class/Method to perform this programmatically, to no avail - any assistance is appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Steven

Easiest method to achieve this is as follows.
    Create the Campaign.
Select the communication medium as Call.
Select the interactive script which is visible field after you select the comm medium.
Assign the target group in campaign and execute.
It will create the call list with the script.

  • Assign pcal to call list?

(scenario: activities planned are made for BPs and later manager has to assign them to call list for agents to execute)
    how I can do it?
or maybe do you know if it is possible for an agent to find pcal activity on BP and make a call from this activity?
I couldn't find the same calling functionality in activity as I have in call list workspace.

  • Interaction Center User cannot see Call List

    Hi Gurus,
I have created a new call list with some calls and I assign it to an user and I have also activated the call list, but when I enter to the WebClient UI with that user who has a business role which have the option to see the call list, the call list assigned to the user doesn´t appear. Which might be the problem?
    Thanks and regards.
    Jesú

    Hi,
From the top of my head:
GO to the transaction used by the Call center manager
    Find the call list
Assign it (depends on your scenario, you can assign it directly to the teleagent or to the Telecenter)
    Activate the call list
Sometines, you need to be careful that the teleagent belons to the right Telecenter
    Hope it helps,
    D.

  • Adding caller with name and number from call list to the contact list only inserts the number and not the name

I recently bought a BlackBerry Z10 and moved my cell service to Rogers to take advantage of the name display service offered by Rogers (Fido also offers this service).
Due to the number of calls that I receive from first time clients, I wanted the name display service to help me know who was calling. Evidently it is impossible to add clients to my contact list before they call me so I'm constantly seeing numbers that have no name to help me decide if I want to answer the call.
When I try to add a caller from my call list to my contact list, only the number gets inserted in the new contact. The name needs to be entered manually.
I understand and realize that not all call display formats are the same and that it's virtually impossible to parse the first and last names from the name portion of the caller id.
However, I would like to see BlackBerry add the functionality to insert the name portion of the call entry from the caller list to a "Nickname" entry in the contact list just like it adds the number to a "Home", "Mobile", or "Work" entry in the contact list.
If a user doesn't have a name display service, there would be no change to how their contacts are added because there is no name variable to copy over.
Can someone from BlackBerry please let me know if this feature can be added to BB10 and when it can be added? For me it's an obvious feature that should just work.
I am really enjoying my Z10 but I'm feeling let down that something so logical and helpful is not supported out of the box.
    Regards,
    Marc

    Hey ViciousFerret,
It appears that you are not aware of the fact that both Rogers and Fido offer name AND number display service (although the name display feature is an add-on service) and have been offering it for many years (since 2006). Here is a link to the name display service description of each provider...
    http://www.fido.ca/web/content/manageyourcalls/calldisplay&lang=en
    http://www.rogers.com/business/on/en/smallbusiness/products/wireless/addons/valuepacks/
As you can see from the link below, Rogers and Fido have been offering this service since 2006.
    http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20060914005951/en/Teams-HP-Rogers-Wireless-Fido-Succeed-North
My BlackBerry Z10 shows both the name and number when someone calls (and the caller is not in my contact list).
All I would like is for the Z10 (and Q10) to support the addition of the name and number from the caller list to my contact list without me having to type the name. As I mentioned in my original post, to avoid the OS having to parse the first name and last name from the name portion of the caller list entry the name could simply be added to the contact list as a "Nickname". If your provider only has number display, nothing would have to be copied from the name variable in the caller list to the contact list.
I find it difficult to believe that BlackBerry would not be aware of this name display service since it's been around since 2006 with both Rogers and Fido.
I hope I have clarified the reasons why I would like to have this feature added to BB10 and how it's surprising that this simple feature is not already a part of the BB10 OS.
Either way, I don't think this is a difficult feature for the BlackBerry team to add. They're just copying a 2nd variable from the caller list to the contact list.
I'm surprised that Rogers hasn't asked BlackBerry to add this feature to their phones. I think it would be a popular feature for those who receive a high number of calls from first time callers.
How can I get this feature request to BlackBerry for their consideration?
    Cheers,
    Marc
