Native Compiling error

We are getting the following error when trying to compile a procedure as NATIVE:
PLS-00923: native compilation failed: make:spdtexmk:?
We set the following parameters:
plsql_native_make_utility     /usr/bin/make
plsql_native_make_file_name /local/bin/oracle/9.2/plsql/spnc_makefile.mk
plsql_native_library_dir /local/bin/oracle/9.2/plsql/lib/
and plsql_compiler_flags=native
The make utility can be envoked and all utilities used in spnc_makefile.mk (ld, nm, cc) can be envoked as well.
All directories exist.
We are running 9.2.0.5 64bit on AIX5.2
Anyone?

The basic problem is that Borland C and VC++ define some things differently, and the header files are geared to VC++.
The way I got around this is to make some adjustments to my C code to impose the Borland definitions in place of the VC++ definitions. I do this creating a .h file that
o Includes my definitions.
o Includes jni.h
I then #include my .h file instead of directly including jni.h. That way, I don't need to change jni.h or jni.md.h
Here is roughly what it looks like. (Can't give you the exact code - the files are proprietary and include a lot not-relevant stuff.)
If you run into troubles with some files compiling, and some not, then I suggest you move some of the macro redefinitions to a .cpp file, and just # include that into your own .cpp file.
(file shell.h)
#ifndef ShellH
#define ShellH
// This file is used to make Borland-specific settings.
// Normal kinds of stuff.
#define WIN32
#define HAS_BOOL
// Suppress dll code.
#ifdef jdecl
#undef jdecl
#endif
#define jdecl
// Borland has seen fit to specially-define toString();
#ifdef toString
#undef toString
#endif
#define toString jToString
// Define functions and constants per Borland (vs Microsoft).
#define _chdir chdir
#define _cwd cwd
//#define _getcwd getcwd
#define _getpid getpid
//#define _stat stat

  • Reporting Services Compiler Error

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to run a report in MRS that I've created and get the following when I debug or try to
    run the report:
    Error 1 [rsUnexpectedCompilerError] An unexpected error occurred while compiling expressions. Native compiler return value: ‘[BC42206] Maximum number of warnings has been exceeded.’ I checked the "warnings" tab and there are none
    doesn't it figure?
    Any ideas would be welcome.
    Already looking toward the weekend,
    >scott

    I just blogged on this very subject.
    http://bidn.com/blogs/MMilligan/bidn-blog/2788/ssrs-gotcha-bc-42206-maximum-number-of-warnings-has-been-exceeded
    After a lot of trial and error and poking around I finally noticed that there were a lot of duplicated textbox names.  For example, one textbox was name "textbox1234" and another one was named "Textbox1234"  The only difference
    was the uppercase vs. lowercase t.  Fixing a number of these finally got the report running again.  Anyway, hope this post helps someone else out as I can only assume you have moved on since 2007.

    Hi MMiligan,
    I am not sure, if you would ever come here to take a look.I am in the exact same situation since past few days i.e removing a single textbox make the whole report compile without problem.And the bummer,  clueless ghost warnings notification but no sign
    of them anywhere.I looked into .RDL file code and couldn't find out anything.I am actually interested to know, how were you able to find out the casing differences.I have got a super huge file with 1600+ text boxes in them and it is literally impossible
    to find the casing differences.Any ideas ? Thoughts ?
    I can be reached at msheikh at ualberta dot ca if you can please take a few moments out from your precious time.
    Thanks,

  • Compilation Error for import classes not found in generated Proxy Class

    Hi,
    We are generating java classes for the COM dll using JCOM com2java compiler.
    We are getting a compilation error for import class not found when compiling the
    generated Proxy java source code. It can't find the com.bea.jcom.Dispatch class that
    the generated Proxy java source code extends. It also can't find com.bea.jcom.Variant
    or com.bea.jcom.Param. These are interfaces or data types or classes used by COM
    library.
    I added weblogic.jar to my class path and the only Dispatch class i found inside
    the weblogic.jar is com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch;
    We have com objects for which we want to develop an EJB client to interface with
    the COM object using JCOM with Native Mode disabled.
    Any help on the compilation error..I tried changing the extends for Dispatch to com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch
    but the other errors are still there.
    To begin with, I think the generated code should not refer to any of the COM data
    types.
    Any help please.
    Thank you in advance,
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I resolved the other errors by changing all references from com.bea.jcom.Variant
    etc to com.linar.jintegra.class name..all were present under the com.linar.jintegra
    package.
    Thank you all anyways,

  • Error "Compile error: Invalid character" after copy paste operations in VBE 6.5 PowerPoint 2011

    This is a weird problem with the VBE 6.5 in Office 2011, running natively on a Mac.
    Sometimes, yet often, when I select a word by double clicking on it or a line by highlighting that line in the editor and then copy/paste it somewhere else in the code, the compiler throws the error "Compile error: Invalid character"
    The thing is, what I see has been pasted is exactly the same as the source text. However, if I then paste the same clipboard item to a text editor, I can see that there is an 'invisible' character at the end of the string which is counted in the text editor
    where the cursor is shifted past it but does not shown on the screen!!!
    Back in the VBE, if I select a line that is dubious and drag it, the semi transparent dragged text has a '>' character on a new line.
    In some copy/paste cases, the compiler doesn't see an error but the code doesn't work as expected and I have spent hours debugging stuff that has invisible characters in it (the hardest debugging I've ever had to do!).
    I'm not sure if this example will paste correctly into the forum but this looks like 19 characters but is in fact 20 as there is the offending copy/paste invisible character between 'Test' and '.'
    <code>Test.Value = False</code>
    This seems to be a major oversight in the code of the VBE 6.5 so are Microsoft aware of this and when is it due to be fixed?
    Jamie.

    I had this exact issue.  This is a terrible bug.  The code looks perfect, but there are hidden characters that throw compiler errors.  Thanks for the quick fix, Microsoft.

    I checked few forums for this and have set XL.CompilerPath to jdk/bin. Also, JAVA_HOME has been set to jdk6 (not bin).
    Please provide some pointers for resolution.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    Thanks Rajiv. I, in fact, did same for resolution as there was a reference to a directory in logs under /tmp but I wasn't able to find it. Cleaning up /tmp did the trick.

    I have exactly the same error.
    Me too, I'm running on Win XP. And I have had lots of trouble to deploy the converter.
    I cannot install J2EE 1.3 as I am supposed to write a report on how Web Services may help my company. By the moment I can only say it takes me much more time than expected to run the J2EE 1.3 tutorial. As SUN didn't deliver a tutorial one can use.
    So by the moment if anyone can HELP me to finish this converter tutorial I will be thankful.

  • Studio 12.3 C compiler: internal compiler error: vector type in ty_build_co

    Trying to compile libspeex, the C compiler errors out with:
    cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.. -I../include -I../include -I.. -I/usr/pkg/include -xO3 -m64 -xarch=native -xdepend -xvector -xtrigraphs -xannotate=no -w -features=no%conststrings,extensions -xc99 -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=600 -D__EXTENSIONS__=1 -c vq.c -KPIC -DPIC -o vq.o
    "vq_sse.h", line 37: internal compiler error: vector type in ty_build_composite()
    cc: acomp failed for vq.c
    The only way I was able to get it to compile was to remove -x03 -xarch=native -xvector completely (all three had to be removed):
    cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.. -I../include -I../include -I.. -I/usr/pkg/include -m64 -xdepend -xtrigraphs -xannotate=no -w -features=no%conststrings,extensions -xc99 -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=600 -D__EXTENSIONS__=1 -c vq.c -KPIC -DPIC -o vq.o

    It looks like you have run into bug 15757788, which has been fixed internally but does not seem to have been released in a patch yet. The bug report does not list a workaround.
    If you have a support contract, you can view the status of the bug at My Oracle Support, and you can check periodically for the next patch. You can also file a request to be notified when a patch is available, and possibly get a pre-release patch to test.

  • Newer version of the program of native compilation NCOMP

    Hi,
    I tried to use the ncomp program to make native compilation of a jar file in an Oracle 8.1.7 Database on Unix platform with jdk 1.2.2.
    It returns an error :
    Set the JAVA_HOME to the location of the jdk 1.1.x.
    It seems the version of ncomp I have is unable to work with our jdk 1.2.2
    Where could I find a newer version of ncomp which work with jdk 1.1.2 ?
    Thanks in advance
    Bye

  • Error: Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception

    Hello,
    I am getting the dreaded "Error: Internal compilation error, terminated with a fatal exception" build failure and cannot remedy. I've tried the various suggested fixes from previous posts regarding this compiler error. The file that the build fails on will compile with javac without errors. This error has occurred before with this same application. Restarting JDeveloper has worked in the past, but not this time.

    Try switching your project compiler from ojc to the native one and see if there is a change in the results.

    I guess it could be compile error, So is there any one has a sample make file for borland C on windows platform!! That might helps me!!!

    Hi,

  • Compilation error while calling static method from another class

    Hi,
    I am new to Java Programming. I have written two class files Dummy1 and Dummy2.java in the same package Test.
    In Dummy1.java I have declared a static final variable and a static method as you can see it below.
    package Test;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Dummy1
    public static final int var1= 10;
    public static int varDisp(int var2)
    return(var1+var2);
    This is program is compiling fine.
    I have called the static method varDisp from the class Dummy2 and it is as follows
    package Test;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Dummy2
    public int var3=15;
    public int test=0;
    test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
    and when i compile Dummy2.java, there is a compilation error <identifier > expected.
    Please help me in this program.

    public class Dummy2
    public int var3=15;
    public int test=0;
    test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
    }test+=Dummy1.varDisplay(var3);
    must be in a method, it cannot just be out somewhere in the class!

    Im trying to build a program that quereys a table in a database but i keep getting this error. Am i missing a link between the files or am i missing a line of code in my program??

    Apologies. I receive a compiler error which reads as follows;
