Navient royally messing up.

Hey everybody, I have had loans serviced by Navient for quite a while. Everything has ran smoothly until recently. Around a month ago I logged into my account and saw that I incorrectly had typed in my apartment number in the "account contact information" section. In the building complex, my apartment number is "18", but on my account it was incorrectly showing as apartment "1", due to my carelessness I forgot to add the 8, therefore I changed it to the correct apartment number "18". I also have my Navient account to always send correspondence to my online Navient inbox in order to cut down on paper clutter.  So for the past few weeks, Navient has still been listing the incorrect apartment number "1" on all my "inbox" correspondence letters/notifications instead of apartment 18. Navient has my street address correct, but the apartment number fiasco is starting to bother me. I mean why is Navient making this so hard, if one updates their information, shouldn't Navient start sending correspondence that has the corrected information? Has anyone else had this problem when correcting "address/apartment" information with loan servicers such as Navient?

It looks like you're doing very well at trying to troubleshoot these issues yourself; it's very helpful that you have listed what you've tried so far. That said, there is [more you can do|http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/assistant/ipodtouch>. Once you've tried all of the steps listed there, if things still don't work correctly, I'd go to my nearest Apple Store and consult the geniuses there. If you don't have an Apple Store near you, call Apple tech support (assuming you still have phone support on your Touch) for help. Your AppleCare is still in effect, whether you've purchased the "extra" or not, but your phone support may have run out if you didn't buy it.

    This is worrisome.  It's not Dreamweaver you should be learning but code basics.   If you don't know code basics, DW is going to continue to punish you.

    Errors in code are responsible for 98% of browser rendering issues.  You have more than a few to work on starting with a valid document type.  Without one, your web pages render in Quirks Mode which is geek speak for a confused mess.
    Open your main Template.dwt file.
    To add a document type in DW, go to Modify > Page Properties > Title/Encoding tab and choose a doc type that fits your coding skills.  I recommend XHTML transitional.  Hit OK. 
    Next, Validate code and fix reported errors using the tools below.

  • Ichat royally messed up

    I have a Macbook Pro Intel Dual Core running new snow leopard (10.6.4). Since installing snow leopard, ichat has acted really funny. It straight up disappeared for a while. Then in came back, with a lot of problems. First, i can't add new accounts. It takes me several tries to even open the preferences pane. My video chat won't work. When i click it, the video light goes green but i have to go to window and manually select the video pane. No one receives my video chat and when i am invited i cannot respond. Connection doctor will not register any settings. My firewall is off. I can't save any changes in the preferences pane and when i go to Home, Library, Preferences, there is no com.apple.ichat. None at all. Same in the caches. None of my data is saved. I can text chat that is it. My gchat, which was working a couple weeks ago, is now also broken but connection doctor does say i have all hte capabilities and my camera works fine. I tried some of the tricks with port 443 and the mpbs reconfig but nothing saves and nothing works. I think i need to reinstall ichat, perhaps.

    iChat 5.0.3 is "right" for 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 as there was no update to iChat in 10.6.4
    Is the application in the Applications Folder ?
    Snow Leopard is supposed to Update iChat 4 to be iChat 5. However some people say they end up with two Apps and that the DOCK retains the Link to the Original files even if the System moved to the Trash (this can cause problems with Launching iChat.
    Click and hold the icon in the DOCK and use Show In Finder and see if it shows you the Applications folder.
    There really should be a set of iChat .plists in Users/(your account/little House icon)/Library/Preferences
    My video chat won't work. When I click it, the video light goes green but I have to go to window and manually select the video pane.
    DO you mean that when you go to the Buddy List and click your Own Video Icon you do not see a Preview window and that you are going to the iChat Menu > Preferences > Video Section ?
    If this is the case the Video window could be Off Screen
    (Moved to a Second Monitor when not using Mirroring ?)
    Check the Window Menu which should list the Open Windows (The Buddy list(s) have their own Section (If logged in) and at the Bottom should be all other windows - chats, Preview and, if Open, the Preferences will be listed as the Pane that is open).
    Normally any issue in Displaying the Preferences is solved by deleting com.apple.ichat.plist and restarting iChat.
    First, I can't add new accounts
    DO you mean you cannot add anew Screen Name to iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts ?
    This would normally be related to the iChat info being subject to Parental Controls being turned ON.
    This could be in the Mac User Account you are using to log on to the Computer if it is not an Admin account.
    However it can also be caused by using the same iChat Info is a Second Mac User Account and tur9ing On Parental Controls there (The Mail and iChat part).
    I can't save any changes in the preferences pane
    The above could be related.
    Changing the port needs you to press Enter to "Set" the change or it will continue to return to port 5190.
    However if the Bandwidth can not be set to something different it does sound like a Parental Control issue (Possibly you have moved the .plist and not restarted iChat)
    The other things you mention could be because the .plist has been moved and iChat not being restarted.
    It all could be to do with the update not taking properly.

  • Right royal mess

    Started badly. Downloaded 10.1 thinking to have a peek without preparing and it installed and though I clicked update later it updated everything. OK no big deal I can sort this out. Reached a point where projects I had moved from Hidden Events and projects were refusing to move from the updated library to the new ones I had created. (I have 3 internal drives on a 2008 MacPro and 2 external drives) I tried click and drag and it would show a plus when hovered over the new library but then sprung back. File-move did nothing. Decided to trash my prefs. Did so as per apple method, restarted and have the one empty library. Went to file-update-locate and all my events, projects and libraries are greyed out on all disks. Tried update all and 10.1 says it can't locate any events or projects. Created new files called Final Cut Events and dragged an event from a hidden file. The new file is also greyed out. HELP (so to speak)

    Projects go in the Final Cut Projects folder. Make sure the folder structure is correct.
    Hi Tom,
    Sounds so simple and it probably is but this brain just can't figure it out.
    Where is this FCP Project Folder ?  Does FCP create this folder automatically or do I have to create it and if so where is it supposed to reside ? 
    Where is it in relation to Library ?  I have followed instructions to no end & I seem to have clips in every nook & corner.

  • Blank photos and messed up catalog

    Hi all! I am pretty good about backing up my catalogs, especially when I add new sessions. On Sunday, I deleted a lot of old photos from my external hard drive, which seems to have messed up my link of some photos to LR. When I got on yesterday, one huge wedding collection showed the "offline or missing ?" thing but still showed the actual photo. In trying to re-link the photos to LR,  I think I did two things that royally messed me up. I opened up an older catalog, which had the large wedding collection, but it now turned up the photos as totally blank. The collection still shows 2000+ photos in it, and each photo shows the little symbols that show which have been edited, and they still show the ? in the top corner, but no photo. Can someone pretty please tell me how to reconnect the photos without messing more photos up? I'm scared!!! THANK YOU

    what exactly did you do when you exported the files - did you add them to your catalog, because you ticked the box in export manager?
    But this should have given you a redundant set of images.
    Where have the real originals gone, the ones with the import-name?
    If you export, are you sure that you will have your originals afterwards? (I have no use case for exporting originals; if I export then because I need some jpgs from my raws or such.)
    Yes, Mollysnoot is right: I meant undoing the renaming on OS, so they would show up automatically linked to your LR catalog records. How difficult this may be depends on how you renamed them, e.g. removing a prefix would be more manageable than a completely new naming convention. In that case the individual relinking by working all "?" from LR library may be the safest bet.
    Maybe there is good learning material in an eBook for you, as it covers this organisational stuff plus some rescue methods very well:

  • HELP. I deleted some files, but they are still in the Nib I think

    I have royally messed up. I'm working on a cocoa app with various Quartz Compositions in it using QC View's. The .qtz files have been loaded into the Nib via the QC View's, but by accident I have deleted the original .qtz files from my disk.
    I can still build the application and the views work as it seems the .qtz files must be cached into the nib file. However I can't get to them to save them back to my disk. Is there any way to get a .qtz file out of a nib after its been loaded in. Perhaps some way to reverse save the file out to disk?
    Sorry its so rambling, its just that I've spent weeks getting these compositions right and now I've gone and deleted them I'm beside myself
    I have tried looking inside the the nib file with 'Show package contents' but none of the .qtz files are in there. How are they cached in the nib?
    Thanks you for any help. I'm also trying various file recovery apps, but so far no luck.

    I tried all sorts of utilities to get the files back, but no luck. So I sat down with plenty of coffee and retraced my work as best I could remember.
    After a full days work, I have recreated all the files and actually made quite a few improvements along the way!! Although I lost some time, I actually ended with a better end product, so not such a disaster after all

  • Scrolling horizontal line of distortion when in hardware mirror mode

    This distorted line that appears while using Dashboard or Expose only happens when my dual screens are in mirror mode. I've tried all the obvious but have now lost countless hours trying to figure out this problem: replaced video card, replaced Mini DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI adapter, reset PRAM and started a fresh account on an external drive.     Yeah, I usually go with Crucial RAM, but I wanted to see if Apple RAM was any different (it's not). I also would like to mention that my Apple Care guy is back on board trying to help me with this. He told me that there is a known issue that appears while running dual 30" Cinema Displays in mirror mode (I would have never bought this setup had I known). I guess that's why they stopped making them. Now I'm trying to get info on this graphics card to see if it's a possible fix (http://store.apple.com/us/product/TW386LL/A?n=graphic_cards&fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco =MTA4MzU2Nzg&s=topSellers). I have two concerns though. Concern #1: will this card degrade computer performance speed? Concern # 2: on a review of the card, someone said that anything other than the stock cards will not allow booting from the install disk. Wow, this is turning into a royal mess. Thanks for chiming in though. What's wrong with the 2010 Macs?

  • Disgust and Exasperation with BT "Customer Service...

    I am posting this here as really a final attempt to see if anything helpful will actually be done by BT, but I think also as more of a warning to others, as I truly have ben a “victim” of their so called customer service.
    To make clear, I don’t really use my landline, the only reason that I even have a landline is for my broadband which I get from another supplier, as I need this for work, it is rather essential, so when there is a problem with the line it causes me great stress as it threatens my ability to work and make money and pay bills etc. Generally the only time I use the phone is if I have to call a free phone number or a number which is chargeable from a mobile.
    Over a year ago now, back in July 2011, I had just finished dealing with someone from BT’s head office as I had been forced to go there due to surprise surprise BT not adequately dealing with a complaint, that time due to charges on my bill for calls I hadn’t made. The man I was speaking to, fixed all the problem, re-set up my quarterly direct debits and said if there were ever any issues again to come straight back to him.
    Cut to the end of August this year. I happened to pick up the phone to try and call a free phone number when I discovered that the phone could not make outgoing calls. At this point I have had NO communication with BT of ANY kind, calls, emails, texts or letters. Since dealing with their head office the previous year. When I eventually get through to someone, Im informed that the line has been restricted due to non payment of the bill. I asked if there has been a problem with the most recent payment or has a payment bounced and I am informed that in fact BT haven’t taken a payment in a year!!!!! I ask how this is possible, and also how has no one from BT got in contact with me about it, I mean they are supposed to be a Communications company, yet they seem to be severely lacking in communication, as the only reason I knew there was a problem was that I happened to pick up my phone. After speaking to around 3 different people in one of BT’s non English as a first language speaking call centres, various promises of a  callback which funnily enough never happened, and god knows how much cost on my mobile phone bill, I finally managed to speak to a manager to try and figure out what had happened and how we could get this fixed.
    I was told by the Manager that they honestly had no idea how firstly they weren’t taking direct debit payments, and secondly how this could have been allowed to run for a year without BT really contacting me about it or even taking any action like restricting the line after the first time they didn’t take a direct debit. I was informed that the balance of the account was over £400. I made the point and the manager agreed that asking a customer to make that kind of payment in one go with no warning, particularly in these circumstances was unacceptable and a solution had to be reached. I said I was happy to pay it off in installments or work something out that way, and the manager also said they would need to check as perhaps some of the bill may have even been supposed to be covered as compensation for part of the previous complaint and due to an oversight may have caused the rest of the year to go untouched, as otherwise she wasn’t really sure how this could have occurred. The Manger then told me that she was going to go away and thoroughly investigate this and speak to the person who had originally set up my direct debit to see if there was any issue there. She told me that she would be looking into this and would then come back to me with the answers to how this happened and also a solution to paying it off. Also while she was looking into this she would restore my line fully, as this was obviously a larger problem at BT’s end. This seemed to be a fair agreement and I told her I looked forward to hearing back from them when they had it sorted out and we could get this cleared up. How foolish I was.
    Cut to the end of last month, I had family members in New York and New Jersey on holiday at the time of the hurricane hitting there. One night I picked up the phone to try and get in touch with them to make sure they were okay and I discovered that once again my line had been restricted for outgoing calls. To be clear here, the last time I had any contact with BT was when speaking to the manager at the end of August as described above. As you can imagine, having my line suddenly restricted and considering the circumstances I was particularly angry. I called in the next day, and despite asking what was going on and what had happened to the investigation into my account, instead all I got was a wall of “The account has been restricted due to non payment”. I would respond, yes I get that, but BT were supposed to be resolving the matter and coming back to me with a way to pay off the balance. Again the only response I would be given was “The account has been restricted due to non payment”. No other information, just that statement. I asked to speak to a  manager and was promised a callback from one. It never materialized. I called back in gain, asking for someone to call me about this as I wanted to get it resolved, was promised one but again never received one.
    Then last Monday, the  12th of November, I finally called in AGAIN at my expense, and spoke to someone who actually seemed to understand the term “Customer Service”. She took the time to look at the notes, saw that I was supposed to have been called about this but that no one had, and that in fact no one had even bothered to look into my account or even do anything with it. In fact I believe I was told that no one had even accessed my account since the last time I spoke with BT, back in August. I asked her if it should really be this hard for me to set up some sort of payment plan, I mean Im asking a company to let me give them money but they don’t seem to be interested. She apologized and said that she was going to personally pass this to her manager, that she would fully investigate the matter, sort it out and come back to me with the solution so we could resolve the matter and put it to bed. She gave me her word that her manager would be calling me within 48 hours. And guess what? That’s right, I never received any call whatsoever.
    So Wednesday this week, 2 days ago, I call back into BT, to ask why this manager hasn’t called me back as promised and what exactly is going on. At this point I get more of the stonewall “The account has been restricted due to non payment”. However also at this point get told that my line is going to be terminated fully this coming Saturday. Again I will point out that no one from BT had communicated this to me in any way, no warning, no letter, text, email or call, from this global telecommunications company. However I am then informed that someone had called and spoke to me the previous Saturday, had given me this information and I had “agreed” with it. I informed the agent that this hadn’t happened, no one from BT had spoke to me on Saturday, and certainly not at the time of 11:30am as it was noted on my account, as I had been out the previous night and had only got in at 8am Saturday morning and went straight to sleep. This didn’t seem to bother them or they just didn’t care as now all that I could get from anyone was “The account has been restricted due to non payment and we are cancelling it on Saturday”. No offer of sorting out to get it paid, no explanation as to what had gone on or why no one had done anything, just  a set response that felt like I was talking to a computer with only one programmed response. I was also informed that my account had now been ring-fenced by a particular department and only they would deal with it and they had no interest in my complaints or issues, they only cared about the bill in full and if not paid then it would be cut of Friday. I pointed out that I had not been given any notification of their action of any kind. The response verbatim I was given was,
     “We don’t have to inform you if we are going to restrict or cancel your account, we can just do it”
    Also they didn’t seem to care about the fact that someone in their company had blatantly lied and put information on my account saying they had spoke to me about this to inform me of it and I had agreed with it!!!!!! So fraudulent activity by BT and they don’t even seem to care. I asked for the details of the person who had left this note as I wished to complain, but was simply brushed a way with
    “Oh we wont give that to you, we will just take care of it internally, you don’t need to worry about it”
    I don’t need to worry about false information being put on my account???? I think BT doesn’t really have an understanding of what concerns the average customer, as someone falsifying information on their account is kind of a HUGE deal. At this point I had tried several times by phone and email to contact the person who had dealt with my account last year and had set up the supposed direct debit but surprise surprise, they never responded to one of my attempts, not even a polite message to say they had received it or that someone else might be dealing with it, nothing, not a peep.
    At the end of the day with my head ready to explode I finally managed to get a number for a manager in BT’s head office. I called their office line and got to speak to them. I explained the above and they were very sympathetic and apologized, and agreed that the way it had been handled was wrong, and asking someone to pay £400+ without any notification and also when they had previously told me they would be sorting out a payment plan was unacceptable. He then told me he would be passing my information to an executive level complaints operative and that they would call me back the very next day to discuss the problem and get it resolved. Again I pointed out that I didn’t think it would be this much hassle for a person who is trying to set up payments to get it sorted. I then left this call, feeling a lot better as it seemed I was finally going to get this sorted.
    However, the next day not only did I not receive a call, but instead I got an email from the person who the matter had been passed to, which simply said, ‘We haven’t had a payment in a year, the direct debits haven’t been taken, we have now sent you duplicate bills so you have a copy of them and you have been informed that the account will cease on Saturday (conveniently leaving out the fact that I was only informed of this the day previously). That was it. I called and left 2 voicemails and responded by email saying that could she please call me as her email has not in any way dealt with any of my issues or even tried to resolve this, and being as one of my biggest issues was that for 3 months I have been constantly calling BT and not one person has been bothered to call me, and the response to my speaking tp a manager at BT’s head office was for her to send me an email that as far as she was concerned I might not even get due to current restrictions on the line. I never received any call from her that day.
    That evening I managed to get back in touch with the person from the head office I had spoken to the previous day. I expressed my exasperation that with a major issue where one of the main problems is BT’s seeming inability to call me back when promised, the person who as supposed to be looking into this hadn’t even bothered to call me to find out the issues and what the complaint details were!!!!! I was again promised that he would get her to call me first thing Friday. She did, I spoke with her about an hour ago, and from the fact that I have felt compelled to write this should tell you exactly how helpful she was.
    When I answered the phone, the first thing she said to me was, “The only reason for this call is merely a courtesy, it doesn’t matter what you say or what has happened it will not effect the decision to terminate your line tomorrow” If that doesn’t just sum up the entire BT experience for the average customer Im not sure what could. Not only that but she claimed that BT had tried to contact me numerous times in regards to this yet mysteriously could not provide me with a single precise date of any of these supposed communications. I was called a “liar” as she said that I must have noticed that the quarterly direct debits hadn’t come out. This is despite the fact that the entire point of a direct debit is that you don’t have to check it, it just pays it, its how I pay my rent, gas, electricity, broadband, mobile phone and I assumed my phone line. Also if there has ever been an issue, the company involved is usually very quick and good about getting in touch, as its money you owe them/ Not BT though it seems. I said that all I’ve been wanting to do for the last 3 months is get something set up to pay this off. However I’m told that they wont do that that they NEVER allow payment plans (a blatant lie)and that even though I’ve only had 2 days notice and even then nothing in writing, they don’t have to inform me anyway, they can just do what they want.
    I tried to point out the effect this would have, I even made it clear that I was perfectly happy that while I was making payments to clear the debt that they could keep the line restricted, but at least still active as otherwise I cant work, I cant make money, I cant pay my rent, I lose my flat, I cant afford to buy food and in essence it royally messes up my life. The response was that they didn’t care and unless the full amount is paid then tough.
    However the most disgusting, Blatant and downright underhanded moment (and bear in mind at this point Ive been openly called a liar) came, when I brought up the fact that there is false information on my account, that someone had lied and put fraudulent information on my account. Her response, and I still have trouble accepting this was
    “Well I don’t think one of our agents would do that, so Im not even going to look into it”.
    Despite the fact that she could confirm that there was no call in under 5 minutes she refused to check it. I asked her to go get the call recording as there wouldn’t be one, and if she wasn’t going to help with my account at least please fix this, someone in BT has put false info on my account and you can check this yourself, it will take you no time, just confirm it. She however again refused to even look into it as she didn’t “THINK” that someone would do that. She also refused to go and listen to or check the calls I had back in August with the manager who had promised to sort out a payment plan and investigate, she refused to check or listen to the call from last Monday where an agent had confirmed that the previous manager was supposed to have done this but hadn’t done anything with it. She refused to do anything in any way that might mean she would have to change the position she had come on the phone to me with and had made clear she didn’t want to change. So in essence this person who is supposed to be trained in customer service and conplaint resolution, didn’t even bother her backside to speak to the customer making a complaint to find out the issues, just decided to check a  few notes, not pay any real attention and sho a complete lack of respect to me. I mean she openly accused me of being a liar on the call and in the same breath refused to go and check if one of BT’s agents had lied themselves about calling me and me “agreeing” to all this. Funny, I was sure one of BT’s slogans was “Its good to talk”
    So here I am, Im told my account will be terminated tomorrow and it seems that no one at BT cares, or even wants to solve the problem. Also they don’t care that this is going to have a massive effect on me and my life, without my internet access I cant work, and if I cant do that then I lose my livelihood, my home, the food on my plate and everything I have. Oh and look, just in time for Christmas. I have been asking for 3 months to get this paid off in a sensible way and for 3 months I have been assured they would take care of it, then fobbed off nad forgotten about. And now BT have made it abundantly clear that they really have no interest or concern for their customers in any way.
    I write this in the vain hope that someone might be able to help me here, however being as there is less than 12 hours till Saturday I doubt it.  I think to be honest its more so that other people are aware of just how shockingly bad BT’s service really is, and that watch yourselves and not only will they lie, abuse, insult and cause you great trauma, but that they will also refuse to accept any responsibility for their words, their action, their promises, and especially their mistakes and faults, as as far as they are concerned they don’t make any, and wont even look into seeing if they have. Truly a company that doesn’t care

    Its quarterly billing, and on direct debit, so the whole point there is it takes care of itself. 
    It aso didnt hurt that as I said, I had no communication from BT in that year, no calls, emails, texts, letters nothing. They sent me no letter to say that there had been a missed payment, they took no action due to this, still something at this point that no one has been able to explain how that happened. Also the direct debit was set up by someon from their executive level complaints deaprtment, so you would think it would work ok. But apparantly 3 months later they didnt take a payment, and kept not taking payments or getting in touch with me about it, they just did notning. Then after a year, again without any warning or notification restricted my line, which as it turnds out was an automatic process, no one had any clue about what had been going on. Hence why the first manager I spoke to about it said she was going to have to investigate how this happened and obviously work out a repaymnt package. Though as par for the course from that point on I never received a callback from BT at any point, I called them often enough, but they never could be bothered it seemed to get back in touch.
    Also my bills arent exaclty large, as I say the only reason I even have a landline is for my internet access for work so its not as if its a huge amount and its every 3 months so not something really on your radar. Again thats the point of DD and what you assume is a professional and capapble company. 

  • Verizon doesn't care about its customers

    I have been a customer of Verizons for a long time they used to be the best in customer service and meeting a persons needs, but this has gone away. They no longer care about there customers they only care about making more money off of us. My bill is currently around $250 per month I have 5 cell phones and 1 home phone connect on 1 plan, and I just added another line which they had me create a new account because I can only have 5 cell phones on 1 plan They said if I added more lines I would loose my unlimited data on 1 of my lines and my plan would increase as well. Nice way to gouge your longtime customers
    my plan had
    2500 nation wide family plan with unlimited texting
    1 home phone connect for my house phone
    2 smart phones
    2 basic phones
    1  basic phone with texting blocked due to being my mother inlaws phone
    the end of February I called verizon about adding another line they said the best thing to do was take the basic phone off with no texting off of that plan and put it on its own plan and add the new line to the existing plan so I have the unlimited texting With these phones. So I said that sounds good and they did that I also asked the rep to make sure the phone that had no texting was still blocked. She said it was taken care of. I thought we were all good but I had a feeling it wouldn't be that easy because there's always a issue if you change something with verizon and this is there chance to stick it to you. The rep assure me my bill would be under $300 for both plans.
    I Received my bill with them after this it was close to $1000 for adding a line and giving them more business. Wow great way to treat your loyal customers.
    I Went to look at things on my Verizon account but I couldn't due to the rep who worked on my account messed my accounts up terribly I found out later
    I called and asked to speak to a manager knowing that a regular rep wouldn't be able to handle this and I didn't want to explain this twice
    The rep her name Tina said we had a royal mess here on the way things were set u. The  way the rep set the accounts up couldn't be done so I had to put the phone line that had no texting back on the original plan and move the new line to its own plan then swap equipment  then change both those phone numbers  but tIna said she couldn't swap the numbers or she would have to charge me $30 per line to do this. She said I would have to do it on my verizon which I later did but came to find out that the rep who set the accounts up deleted the my verizon accounts so I had to call verizon again to change the numbers in which they waived the fee at that time due to not being able to get onto my verizon. Tina had to to put in several. Hundreds  of dollars worth of credits due to the rep changing my accounts to every plan being on its own plan and several hundreds of dollars of text charges and me having to explain things in great detail, and having to let her know how things should have been done rather than how it was done. By the end Tina said she would give me a call on friday at 1 pm and I was talking to her on Tuesday. I even asked her if this was her just making a false promise here or if she was going to call me she said she guaranteed a call which I knew wouldn't happen and never did happen since there isn't any accountability for what there reps say. That day I asked Tina if I can record my calls with verizon she said no it was against the law but they could record it.the credits she said she put thru never were taken care of which I found out the following week because verizon called me threading to shut off my service if I didn't make a payment since I owed them so much.thankfully I wrote down all of the credits that were supposed to be put thru so the rep could put them thru at that time and I paid my balance and they assured me there wouldn't be any more issues.
    then Monday April 28th comes along and I have no service due to verizon shutting off my services due to getting another bill for close to $1000
    so I call verizon and ask for a manager again go thru the whole scenario and they say say I am paying for extra text charges and going over my 2500 minutes and they tell me I don't have my friends and family set up in which the original rep messed those up when they moved my accounts around. In the meantime my wife is unable to use her phone to call me so she calls verizon and verizon forces her to make a $500 payment or she won't be able to use her phone.
    according to this rep I spoke to here on April 28th everything supposed to be taken care of but we will see . I ask how this can be taken up the later and they say you can talk to us
    verizon says they want your business and they are the best out there then how could this confusing scenario happen.
    I Have spent major hours dealing with this confusing scenario of me having to fight to get my credits I deserve and the stress this has caused my family
    where is my compensation
    I urge the upper management of verizon to look at how they treat there customers  from there own reps not doing as they say they can

    I am also a customer of many years. Recently I upgraded my phone, and service on my line. I did not need to, but the information I was given was all a LIE to get me out of my unlimited plan. I was told in order to upgrade I needed to switch to the 6gb max plan that included mobile hotspot at no additional cost. I asked repeatedly if it was no additional cost and for how long. I was told as long as I had the plan. I was then placed on hold for 15+ min where I hung up. I received a satisfaction survey call and let them know I was displeased with being put on hold when I'm trying to spend money. I then received a call from the original customer survice rep, where I asked again about the hotspot. I was then reassured that it was included, and finalized my order. The next day I received a call back on my survey and was reassured again that hotspot was included. I get my phone 3 days later, activate it, and it's not included. I WAS LIED TO... not once, but several times. When I called back they have no information stating that I was told that. Not only was I lied to, but now I'm being screwed with. I think it's time for verizon to go.

  • Contacts and Calendar

    SO I have royally messed up my outlook and lost all my e-mails, contacts and calendar. I still, however have all of the information synced in my iPhone. Can someone tell me how I can import at the very least my contacts and calendar back into outlook from my iphone.

    Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes, which in windows is under the edit menu. Put one contact in outlook and one event in your calendar application, they can be fake, doesn't matter, but make sure you have one in each. Connect your phone, itunes running, DO NOT SYNC!, right-click the phone in the device pane and select "Reset Warnings". You can now sync, you should get a popup regarding your Contacts & Calendar, asking to merge or replace, select MERGE!
    You should be good to go .

  • Transfer Itunes Library from one user to another on same computer?

    Okay. Was trying to clean my computer up the other day b/c the main user of this computer is no longer using this computer. So, everything is in his name and it was annoying me. So, I created a new administrative user and thought the itunes library would just transfer over. It didn't. So, I figured it would be easier to just change the main current user's profile to my name and tried to change the home folder name. When I did this it cleaned up the whole desktop and folders as if I created a new user (blank slate). So, now all my music is in this other folder and my memory is too low to import it into I-Tunes. Does anybody know how to get around this? I tried just switching the folder in I-tunes Preferences, but now it just points to that folder. The music is still just sitting there NOT in I-tunes. I'm new to messing around with MAC settings so I'm afraid I royally messed up my computer. Please Help

    If you have already told iTunes where you want to keep the library (Preferences>Advanced>iTunes Music folder location>change), then now all you need to do is actually import all those songs into your library.
    Close the pref's window. Go to File>Add to Library and add what you want to. I'd advise after that to also Consolidate your library (File>Library>Consolidate Library), IF you want to keep all your music in one place. Make sure you have all the music you want added first, from all the different areas of your computer.
    Hope this makes sense.

  • Problem Publishing to FTP site-I think it has something to do with encoding

    When I publish to my ftp server, the pages all get messed up. Titles get codes inserted into them ( is always inserted), special characters I have inserted into the text get messed up (like apostrophes, bullets, etc. etc.) It's a royal mess. I end up having to go in and fix it all by hand, which takes WAY more time than just coding the page by hand; I chose to try iWeb because I thought it would be easier and faster. It ends up being much slower!

    I had the site all fixed up, using a 3rd party ftp client to upload, but thought "hey maybe if I upload through iWeb, it will get fixed" and I messed up the whole site again. I'm feeling like I should just give up and start again by hand. This is just not worth it. Argh.

  • Urgent issue with video size and quality.

    Ok, I have Premiere Pro CS4 and I am running on Windows 7 64bit. I have a movie that I have been working on for 2 years that already has hundreds of proper LightScribe DVD's, slim cases and printed cover wraps already done and paid for. I was supposed to already be done with this and selling copies, but Premiere has royally messed things up for me and I am now in limbo with the project.
    The film was recorded with simple non-HD 4:3 camcorders. Some of the footage is from years ago and was uploaded via USB low quality, but it still looks fine on YouTube, my computer, and even when I burned a DVD with the footage alone unedited. The rest was uploaded with via DV and is actually pretty good quality for being 4:3 and non-HD. I took all this footage and stretched it out with a little bit of cropping to make it widescreen on Premiere. Again, it looks great in the preview and looks fine when I exported it as a WMV.
    However, when I burned it to DVD, it was horrible quality and also chopped off the sides of the film on my widescreen TV, even though I exported the film as widescreen AND burned it on the widescreen setting! Why would it do that if it was made, exported and burned as widescreen??? Also the sound was terrible! And I exported on the highest setting possible.
    Second, I heard that AVI is a better format, so I tried that. The file was absolutely huge and when I opened the file with media player it wasn't the same perfect fit as the WMV. What I mean by that is, when I watched the WMV, media player showed the video as a perfect fittig window, no excess black space on the top or bottom. Same thing with several AVI mainstream movies that I have on my computer (actual movies, like Terminator Salvation, Pandorum, Black Hawk Down, etc). They all fit media player perfectly, no excess black on top or bottom. So why is it that actual movies in AVI format and my WMV video and movie files are perfect fit on media player, but when I export an AVI from Adobe Premier, it adds excess black on top and bottom? That doesn't make any sense, especially since you can look at a preview of what the exported file will look like and it doesn't look anything like what the ACTUAL export is. What kind of a joke is this?
    So I pretty much need help figuring out why the exported movie is horrible quality, especially on DVD that is so bad I cannot dare to sell it to a customer, AND I need help figuring out why my Premiere Pro exported AVI's look nothing like mainstream film AVI's that I have on my computer. Someone please help, this is really hurting my business!

    well , you are certainly getting some really good help now...its like you fell into a room with the best editors and shooters and everything and you can get a lot of information and run with it...find out a lot of things.
    Some of it requires you follow through on your own as much as possible ( like you have already ) by reading and googling things you dont know, etc...  this forum and these guys is how I learned a lot about this stuff in the past year or so...so listen to what they say....google what you dont understand....you cant go wrong.
    now...about what you said...
    I exported the test clip as  an MPEG2-DVD and it gave me a video file with NO SOUND, a separate WAV  sound file, and two xmp files. This is not what I was looking for.
    I have a movie project on  Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. I simply want to export/publish the movie, burn  it onto a DVD using Windows DVD maker and have it as top quality, like  it looks in the preview monitor on Premiere. Tell me how to do it.---
    I dont use encore to burn a dvd, but use DVDit PRO.  It wants exactly what you got when you exported to mpeg 2 dvd ....a video file without sound muxed.. and a separate wav file....
    I know it sounds weird but thats the way the program burns the DVD....and that has to do with making the VOB files etc for the DVD...which is just the way it is....you see the vob files AFTER you burn the DVD if you look in the DVD...
    anyway, mpeg 2, mpeg 4, all that highly compressed stuff ( as you said ) is highly compressed to FIT onto the media ( DVD ) or whatever....but it plays good and it looks good...and has NOTHING to do with anything except squishing stuff down to fit the media and looking ( viewing ) GOOD.  the best movie you ever saw on DVD is mpeg 2 .....  turned into vob in the making of the DVD by the software that makes the DVD.
    all these things are different animals ...what you edit , what you deliver, etc ....

    "Messing up cells/rows" could mean quite a few things. For
    example, you
    would certainly have trouble trying to pack a 550 x 200 SWF
    into a cell
    whose dimensions were 50 x 22. Is that what you mean?

  • Problems with Auto Pay

    We recently set up auto pay on one of our lines. The information (routing & account information) was given to Verizon via their website and everything looked like it was going to be "peachy".
    The due date came, no money was withdrawn from the account at the end of business day so we tried to get online the next day to pay the bill. When we logged into the Verizon account it said "cash only".
    After calling the local store, then going in and talking to them at their request. We were told to call customer service. In reality after talking to 4-5 agents, they say no one can lift this "cash only" status. Instead we now have to contact our bank, let the bank say our accounts are in good standing, on their letter head blah blah blah. Then, Verizon gets to decide if we are legit customers?
    After leaving Sprint in 2012 to come to Verizon I can say it was the worst decision I have ever made. I wanted the better service, but I never expected to have the problems I am having now.
    On our other line, the bill pay did the same thing, stopped working, I called in right away - the next day - made the payment and moved on. This time, on the other line, I have to deal with driving 45 minutes to the closest store to pay an account, in cash. This is 2013 who pays in cash for anything!
    Word of warning - don't trust auto pay for the first 2 months. Ever. It was a pain the first time, not is a royal mess and solidified me leaving Verizon at the end of my contract in a year.
    Does anyone have any suggestions? We are in the process of gathering the information from the bank and getting it over to Verizon. I just seems like a total waste of resources for a payment that is 24 hours late - and never been late before.

    You just need to be enrolled in paperless billing and have a myverizon account. It's always been that way and there hasn't been any change in the policy so far. If you don't want to be enrolled in autopay, you don't have to be.
