Need a Secure Reliable connection Using IDSL and dsl routers

I need to get a fast secure remote connection to my database. I am using oracle 8i database and the 6i developer for my applications. I need to connect to from remote sites to my office using my internet dsl router.
I managed to do this using the web remote desktop , but i need to use a differnt method for tow reasons :
1- I am worried that i might face performance problems when having many remote desk top connections.
2- I still need security measures where i want to restrict connections to only specific computers that i have identified by reading hard disks serial numbers etc.
I will appreciate it if any one can help me and show me a suitable way to connect to the data base remotely using the idsl lines while the application (forms and reports runs in the clients computer) or any other methods to connect using the idsl and the routers and not compromise the security issues of restricting the connections based on hardware information.

Hi,
it seems to be a JRE Problem. When I use the Kerberos implementation from "Vintela Single Sign-On for Java" I can establish a "aes256" secured LDAP connection to the AD Server.
This LDAP connection allows to change the passwords of the users stored in the AD.
The problem is that "Vintela Single Sign-On for Java" is not free, so it would be nice to have a solution which works with the Kerberos implementation of the JRE.
The error is the same for "aes128" and "aes256" encryption.
And with Wireshark I can not see any differences in the packets send to the AD and received from the AD.

  • The problem about Secure Reliable Messaging between WCF and Weblogic

I'm doing a project for testing the interoperability between WCF and Weblogic with secure reliable messaging.
When WCF client talk to Weblogic service with Secure Reliable feature enabled. We got error when CreateSequence, the error message is below:
The incoming message was signed with a token which was different from what used to encrypt the body. This was not expected.
The remote endpoint requested an address for acknowledgements that is not the same as the address for application messages. The channel could not be opened because this is not supported. Ensure the endpoint address used to create the channel is identical to the one the remote endpoint was set up with.
My understanding is that the client accepted the RSTR from weblogic (so both sides now share the secure conversation token) and moved on to CreateSequence (and failed due to config mismatches). But I don't how the error happen and how to get it fixed.
-- below is the wsdl you are using --
    Any ideas about it?
    Thanks in advance!!!!!!

  • Need HELP! Sweep frequency using Sound and Vibration Assistant

    Hi,
I'm new to LabView . I want to do frequency sweep test using Sound and Vibration Assistant. I added the sweep step and chose sin wave frequency as the parameters. I selected frequency  from  1K hz to 10k hz with an increment of 500hz.
However, I do not know how to stay at one frequency for a while when sweeping the frequency.  I hope there will be 200 cycles ( or 5 minutes) at one frequency in order to get steady result.
Could anyone tell me how to set this? Thank you!

Try connecting on facetime and when i try it says connection lost and my wifi goes off for a few seconds then comes back on. I tryed turn facetime on and off and it works once. then i try it again and connection is lost and wifi does the same thing.

Yes, I went to settings and turned wifi off.  Thought at first I wasnt letting it set for a sec or two before shutting the iPad off.  so now I wait like a minute or two  before shutting the iPad down.  didnt  seem to help.  Tried  actually logging out of  facebook when I was  done with it,  worked for about  4 days, and now it has started  coming on and coming online again,,  I  went through my notifications and  shut things off,   Well  see if it works.  thank you.

  • Need help sharing internet connection between pc and mac using airport

    Hello
I have a PC with an internal modem that connects to the internet via 3g+. it's got wi-fi as my macbook.
i want to share the internet connection of the pc via wifi (using what is called an "ad hoc" connection ( a pc to pc network)) so that the mac can connect to the pc (via wifi) and use its internet connection.
i've already tried a bunch of things but they don't work, can someone help me or tell me where i can find a GOOD guide to do this? (i've already looked around but i haven't found anything that works)
    thanks

Hi. I'm not sure if this helps, but I just found a nice way to do it the other ways around (share the internet from your mac with your pc).
    See: http://echeng.com/journal/2009/07/06/encrypted-internet-sharing-between-mac-os-a nd-windows-xp/
Specifically, step 4 and 6 are crucial!:
    1. In Mac OS X, enable Internet Sharing to computers using Airport
    2. In AirPort Options, select 128-bit WEP encryption and enter a 13-character password
    3. In Windows, add a new wireless network
    4. Enter the SSID and select WEP encryption with Shared Network Authentication (not Open)
    5. Uncheck “The key is provided automatically” and enter the 13-character password
    6. In the Authentication tab, be sure that “Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication” is unchecked
The main idea is that MAC-WEP and PC-WEP are not quite the same, so this tweak makes them line up. Perhaps you can do it the other way around from PC to MAC by sort of reversing the idea?
    Hope that helps you!

  • Two VM's running on different Host needs to be connected using Bridging and joined to VM's domain

    Hi,
I am new to the form and vm workstation. Thanks for your inputs in advance.
I have 2 physical machine running Windows 7 OS.
On Host1, I have 2 VM's running Windows 2008 Server & XP. I have joined XP to Windows 2008 Server. If I try to join the VM machine running on Host2 to windows server machine running on Host1, I get the DNS error. However I'm able to ping all the vm machines in any direction. Is it possible to join this VM3 to windows server??

I would suggest you to readjust the wireless settings on your Router....
On the Linksys Setup Page, reduce the MTU size to 1400 and click on Save Settings.Click on wireless tab.... Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings....Change the Beacon Interval to 75,Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304,Click on "Save Settings"...

  • Cannot connect using URLConnection and JSSE

    Hi,
I am using the following code:
    System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");
    Security.addProvider(new com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider());
    I also pass -Djava.protocol.handler.pkgs=com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol
as argument to the java VM. However, the code below throws IOException with the message: "HTTPS hostname wrong: should be <mail.yahoo.com>"
    URLConnection con;
    URL url = new URL("https://mail.yahoo.com");
    con = url.openConnection();
    con.connect();
    What can I do?

Write your own HostnameVerifier, it sounds like mail.yahoo.com isn't sending
    a properly formed certificate.
P.S. If you're using JSSE in 1.4 or above, the SunJSSE is already installed, and
    the setProperty/addProvider shouldn't be done.

  • Need a secure network when using iPad

I have a iMac with an airport extreme card built in. I use a Westell 7500 DSL modem to connect to the internet. The modem has wireless capability. I can establish a wireless network using airport. I went into network preferences and set up WPA2 Personal security and entered a password under the network I am using, but the network is not password secured. When turning on aiport on the iPad, I join my network without having to enter a password.  I want to have to enter the password on my ipad when using this network so I am sure others in the area will have to know the password to have access to my network.
    Thank you

According to the information you provided, you want to add a security password to secure your network.
Your wireless network is created on your Westell 7500. So if you want to add a password to secure your network, you have to add it on the router settings, not on the iMac settings. If you're not sure how to do that, you have to contact your ISP (internet service provider) for further assistance.

  • Remote connection using SAProuter and Service Connector

    Hello everyone!
What I am trying to do is to connect to an SAP system of a client of ours.
This is what I have found out and what works -
I found out that for such a scenario a SAProuter and the Service Connector somewhow come into play. I worked with the SAProuter and could connect to a test IDES system in our company with the following router string -
    /H/<localsystem_where_SAProuter_is_running>/H/<IP_of_IDES>/S/3200
This basically means that I would have to connect my SAProuter with the client's SAProuter and the client router would then pass on my connection to their SAP system like this -
    /H/<mySAProuter>/H/<clientSAProuter>/S/<port_client_SAProuter>/W/<client_password_if_specified>
When this connection is established, I can access the client's SAP system through a SAPGui (Windows or Java) from my side using the connection string as specified above.
If this works, why do I need a service connector? What would it's function be?
Another question being - I have been told that a connection can also be established by using a connection from us to SAP and then from SAP to the client's SAP system (this has been suggested by the client). Where does this scenario fit in? If it is indeed possible, what do I need to do to make such a connection work?
I would appreciate it if someone answers who has actually worked on such a situation.
    Bye!
    Sameer

The service connector is used by SAP to automatically open your systems for customer messages; it's not relevant in the scenario you describe.
You can't use SAP's servers as a "stepping stone" to get to another customer's system.... you can directly link the two organizations by allowing the connections through both firewalls to specific saprouters at each end though:
    CustA <> saprouter <> firewall <>  INTERNET <> firewall <> saprouter <> CustB
It requires coordination between both customers and the use of saprouter strings in the SAPGUI configuration, as you've described.

  • Need to Measure Light Freq. using photodiode and have it analysed by FFT, details below.

I a new to LV. Project is to measure light freq. using photodiode heald against a TV screen. Am required to have it analysed by FFT, I have read lots but still at dead end of which VI I can manipulate, tried Spectrum Analysers but not right. Need it to collect at rate of at least 100/sec. I am using a CB-68LPR I/O and PCI-MIO-16E-1. Photodiode is connected to an amplifier and filter before it is hooked into the connector board so signal is clean. I will be measuring freq. of ciliary beat where photodiode placed against a TV screen.

    Hi Julesy,
are you shure what you want ti do?
TV screens don't show pictures, they show a point (3 points on a colour
TV) with changing intensity passing by very fast.
    For instance, if you h
ave the PAL Standard, each picture is built with 625
lines, in 20 ms, interlaced. This means, 64 ?s line with the leading and
trailing overhead. The visible part of a line is aubout 52 ?s long.
If you attach your fototransistor to the screen, and its diameter may
cover a circular area of maybe 3 mm and the visual part of the line would
be 520 mm, then: And if this covers four of the screen lines, then you
will receive pulses of 0,3 ?s length if the line passes the center of the
fotodiode. Not passing the transistor in the center would give back an
    even shorter pulse.
And if you get all this working (which I don't think) then you would
measure 2 groups of pulses every 10 ms with 2 pulses each (remember
    interlacing).
Even if all the DAQ would work, is your fototransistor fast enough. Think
about miller capacities. Its not so simple at it seems first to solve this
    measurement problem.
Please let me know what you intend to do. I was an TV- enginear many years

Do you mean that when connected to your computer your iPod isn't being recognised by your computer's iTunes, you aren't getting the device icon showing next to the content type icons towards the top left of the iTunes screen ? e.g.
If not then see if one of these troubleshooting pages help :
PC : iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
Mac : If you don't see your connected device in iTunes for Mac - Apple Support
iCloud isn't used for updating a device (apart from backing up to it, though ideally you'd also back up to your computer's iTunes and copy any iTunes purchases over to your computer's iTunes library). Or do you mean that you can't update wirelessly directly on your iPod ?
(I've asked for your post to be moved to the Using iPod forum, where you've posted is for questions about the iTunes U app.)
