Need Dynamic Table instead of Standard Table in FM INFO_SICHERN_S001
Hi Guys,
I have copied standard FM INFO_SICHERN_S001 into Zdefined FM.
My requirement is instead of
Updating or Modifying or Deleting standard table I need to do all these things for entered table.
How to do this.
Thanks in Advance.

I'm reporting out of two universes published by Epic
1. Warehouse - Patient
2. Warehouse - Transactions
I wanted to join two queries based on the primary key for a hospital encounter. Following the tutorial seemed pretty straightforward until I got to displaying data from a merged query.
The table displayed results from Query1, but adding fields from Query2 wiped out all the data in the table, leaving only #datasync in each field.
My workaround to get fields from both queries displayed (see screenshot)
1. Merge queries on *two* fields - primary key of hospital encounter and primary key of patient
2. Create new variable
3. Make variable type Detail
4. Associate variable with hospital encounter key from Query1
5. Set formula equal to a field from Query2
I'm not sure why this workaround works or if what I'm experiencing is a symptom of something larger. Could this workaround be needed because I am merging on fields from a fact table instead of fields from a dimension table?
Thanks in advanceYou have defined merged dimension on 'company code-Key' which is common in both the Bex-queries.
You are able to bring the merged dimension and other objects from Query_ One to report block without any issue but when adding objects from Query_Two you are getting the error #DATASYNC.
In this case objects from Query_One are got sync with the merged dimension object without any issue because they got added first to it.
Similarly when you add merged dimension and objects from Query_Two you find no issue, because objects from Query_Two go sync first.
Once objects from a query(Query_One/Query_Two) got added to a merged dimension, when we try adding objects from other query we get #DATASYNC error. This is because data in the other query is not able to sync with the initial result set, this is a know behavior.
There are two workarounds:
1) Merging all common dimension/characteristic objects: Only merged dimensions data will sync with the initial query, un-merged dimensions/characteristic objects will still give #DATASYNC error.
2) Create detail objects/attribute objects at report level for all uncommon characteristic/dimension objects from query_two referring to merged dimension. Then add these newly created detail/attribute objects to the table block that is having initial query objects with merged dimension, with this you see result set of query_two in the table block not #DATASYNC error.

Memory and performance when copying a sorted table to a standard table
Hello,
As you all probably know, it's not possible to use a sorted table as a tables parameter of a function module, but sometimes you want to use a sorted table in your function module for performance reasons, and at the end of the function module, you just copy it to a standard table to return to the calling program.
The problem with this is that at that moment, the contents of the table is in memory twice, which could result in the well known STORAGE_PARAMETERS_WRONG_SET runtime exception.
I've been looking for ways to do this without using an excessive amount of memory and still being performant. I tried four methods, all have their advantages and disadvantages, so I was hoping someone here could help me come up with the best way to do this. Both memory and performance are an issue.
Requirements :
- Memory usage must be as low as possible
- Performance must be as high as possible
- Method must work on all SAP versions from 4.6c and up
So far I have tried 3 methods.
I included a test report to this message, the output of this on my dev system is :
Test report for memory usage of copying tables
table1[] = table2[]
Memory : 192,751 Kb
Runtime: 436,842
Loop using workarea (with delete from original table)
Memory : 196,797 Kb
Runtime: 1,312,839
Loop using field symbol (with delete from original table)
Memory : 196,766 Kb
Runtime: 1,295,009
The code of the program :
I had some problems pasting the code here, so it can be found at [http://pastebin.com/f5e2848b5|http://pastebin.com/f5e2848b5]
Thanks in advance for the help.

Edited by: Dries Horions on Jun 19, 2009 1:40 PMI've had another idea:
Create a RFC function like this (replace SOLI_TAB with your table types):
FUNCTION Z_COPY_TABLE .
*"*"Lokale Schnittstelle:
*" IMPORTING
*" VALUE(IT_IN) TYPE SOLI_TAB
*" EXPORTING
*" VALUE(ET_OUT) TYPE SOLI_TAB
et_out[] = it_in[].
ENDFUNCTION.
and then try something like this in your program:
DATA: gd_copy_done TYPE c LENGTH 1.
DATA: gt_one TYPE soli_tab.
DATA: gt_two TYPE soli_tab.
PERFORM move_tables.
FORM move_tables.
CLEAR gd_copy_done.
CALL FUNCTION 'Z_COPY_TABLE'
STARTING NEW TASK 'ztest'
PERFORMING copy_done ON END OF TASK
EXPORTING
it_in = gt_one[].
CLEAR gt_one[].
WAIT UNTIL gd_copy_done IS NOT INITIAL.
ENDFORM.
FORM copy_done USING ld_task TYPE clike.
RECEIVE RESULTS FROM FUNCTION 'Z_COPY_TABLE'
IMPORTING
et_out = gt_two[].
gd_copy_done = 'X'.
ENDFORM.
Maybe this is a little bit faster than the Memory-Export?

Table defined as *Standard table name
Hi all,
Tables in standard program are defined as *table name, i want to know how to use it and why they r defined as *table name
and what is the use of defining like this.
example:
Include Program FPLTDATA
TABLES: FPLT, *FPLT, TFPLT.
TABLES: FPLTD, *FPLTD.
TABLES: CCDATA, *CCDATA, CCDATE, CCARD_CVV, CCARD_RCVV.
Thanks
Venkatesh babu VHi Venkatesh,
just use F1 help on command TABLES.
Tables *tablename
declares an additional table work area.

Read a csv file, fill a dynamic table and insert into a standard table
Hi everybody,
I have a problem here and I need your help:
I have to read a csv file and insert the data of it into a standard table.
1 - On the parameter scrreen I have to indicate the standard table and the csv file.
2 - I need to create a dynamic table. The same type of the one I choose at parameter screen.
3 - Then I need to read the csv and put the data into this dynamic table.
4 - Later I need to insert the data from the dynamic table into the standard table (the one on the parameter screen).
How do I do this job? Do you have an example? Thanks.Here is an example table which shows how to upload a csv file from the frontend to a dynamic internal table. You can of course modify this to update your database table.

What are the methods to modify SAP standard tables?
hi
what are the methods to modify SAP standard tables?.APPEND structures AND CUSTOMIZING INCLUDES.
these are the two methods.. but customizing includes we, as a developers do not use.
generally we use .APPEND structures to modify standard tables.
note that we need an access key to modify atandard tables.
we can create an apend structure and add that structure to the standard table at the end.
note that .append structures should only be added only at the end.
that is the reason we use .append structures to modify standard tables.as we should not include a field in the middle and disturb the original order of the standard table fields as it may effect many objects depending on the standard table.
but Some standard tables for which there is a LONG datatype field can never be modified.
the reason is the LONG datatype field should always be there at the end and also .APPEND strutures should always be there at the end. there will be a conflict. so, some standard tables can not be appended. -
in SORT we will not use sorted tables like where we will not use STANDARD TABLES and HASDED TABLES ........CAN U EXPLAIN IN DETAIL .......
<b>Standard Internal Tables</b>
Standard tables have a linear index. You can access them using either the index or the key. If you use the key, the response time is in linear relationship to the number of table entries. The key of a standard table is always non-unique, and you may not include any specification for the uniqueness in the table definition.
This table type is particularly appropriate if you want to address individual table entries using the index. This is the quickest way to access table entries. To fill a standard table, append lines using the (APPEND) statement. You should read, modify and delete lines by referring to the index (INDEX option with the relevant ABAP command). The response time for accessing a standard table is in linear relation to the number of table entries. If you need to use key access, standard tables are appropriate if you can fill and process the table in separate steps. For example, you can fill a standard table by appending records and then sort it. If you then use key access with the binary search option (BINARY), the response time is in logarithmic relation to
the number of table entries.
<b>Sorted Internal Tables</b>
Sorted tables are always saved correctly sorted by key. They also have a linear key, and, like standard tables, you can access them using either the table index or the key. When you use the key, the response time is in logarithmic relationship to the number of table entries, since the system uses a binary search. The key of a sorted table can be either unique, or non-unique, and you must specify either UNIQUE or NON-UNIQUE in the table definition. Standard tables and sorted tables both belong to the generic group index tables.
This table type is particularly suitable if you want the table to be sorted while you are still adding entries to it. You fill the table using the (INSERT) statement, according to the sort sequence defined in the table key. Table entries that do not fit are recognised before they are inserted. The response time for access using the key is in logarithmic relation to the number of
table entries, since the system automatically uses a binary search. Sorted tables are appropriate for partially sequential processing in a LOOP, as long as the WHERE condition contains the beginning of the table key.
<b>Hashed Internal Tables</b>
Hashes tables have no internal linear index. You can only access hashed tables by specifying the key. The response time is constant, regardless of the number of table entries, since the search uses a hash algorithm. The key of a hashed table must be unique, and you must specify UNIQUE in the table definition.
This table type is particularly suitable if you want mainly to use key access for table entries. You cannot access hashed tables using the index. When you use key access, the response time remains constant, regardless of the number of table entries. As with database tables, the key of a hashed table is always unique. Hashed tables are therefore a useful way of constructing and
using internal tables that are similar to database tables.
<b>Index Tables</b>
Index table is only used to specify the type of generic parameters in a FORM or FUNCTION. That means that you can't create a table of type INDEX.
Internal tables are not DB tables. Standard and Sorted tables in combined are basically called as Index tables and there nothing else. Here is the hierarchy

Standard table data lost during adjustment
Dear experts,
Greetings.,
I was trying to make changes in a domain of an append structure of a standard table and while adjusting the table..i lost the data from the table (which was standard table). Any suggestion how to retrive it back?
Please help
Regards
SathyaHi,
Just check with your BASIS team if there is any backup. Usually they take the backup in production server. In dev and test they don't take unless it is required. If there is no backup, i dont think you can get back the data as table adjustment happens at database level and not at data dictionary level.
Thanks,

Table T2500, is standard?
Hi Experts,
Im working in BW and Im using in R/3 the table T2500 (view T25A) in order to identify the 'Product Family' (element: RKEG_WWFLI) wich will be transfer to BW.
I see that this table is not actualized, and I dont found any point at any program where the insert for new families take place.
Could somedoby tell me if this table is an standard table? (R/3 4.6c)
How must be actualizate this? Can I made manual input via sm30 or have this a risk? Where is using by SAP in R/3?
Thanks a lot!closed

Need to create a Change document for tracking Purpose on standard table
Hi Experts,
I am updating a field in standard table so need to create a change document for tracking the changes being done on the field.
I created the change Document with transaction SCDO but I am stuck at point - How to call that in the report program to enable the change document.
Please advice.
Thanks!!Hi
U can assign your transaction to Z-report like this:

Dynamic value help for a table field to fill two fields, how to?
Hi all gurus,
In SRM 7 I defined a dynamic value help for a single field (ZZ_PROLE_R3) of my header custom table.
That's the code from WDDOMODIFYVIEW in the webdynpro /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_CT, view V_DODC_CT:
DATA: lo_tabnode TYPE REF TO IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE.
DATA: lo_tabnode_info TYPE REF TO IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO.
DATA: tab_value TYPE WDR_CONTEXT_ATTR_VALUE_LIST,
wa_value TYPE WDR_CONTEXT_ATTR_VALUE.
lo_tabnode = wd_context->GET_CHILD_NODE( name = 'THCUS' ). "the custom table node
lo_tabnode_info = lo_tabnode->get_node_info( ).
wd_this->GET_VALHELP_ZZ_PROLE_R3( EXPORTING iv_guid = lv_guid
IMPORTING ZZ_PROLE_R3_VALHELP = tab_value ). "this method returns the dyn value table
lo_tabnode_info->set_attribute_value_set( name = 'ZZ_PROLE_R3'
value_set = tab_value ).
The method GET_VALHELP_ZZ_PROLE_R3 dynamically builds the value help table tab_value; such table is made up by two fields:
value : contains the value of the field
text : contains a description of the value
The above solution works; now I'd like to enhance it. The custom table THCUS contains also a field called ZZ_PROLE_R3_DESC, which represents the description of ZZ_PROLE_R3. It is, exactly, the TEXT field in tab_value.
So I'd like to do as follows:
- the user clicks on the search help for ZZ_PROLE_R3 field of the table;
- the above described value help appears;
- after the selection, both ZZ_PROLE_R3 and ZZ_PROLE_R3_DESC are filled with the selected couple value - text chosen from the value help.
Could anyone help me achieving such a behaviour?
Again, a little request... when I open the above value help dialog box, the window itself has a label "Floorplan Manager application for OIF.." that obviously I'd like to redefine (e.g. "Role selection value help"). Is there any way to do that?
Thanks in advanceChris Paine wrote:
It seems to me - given that your code is in wddomodifyview that you are trying to have different dropdowns per row
- I'm not sure where you are populating lv_guid - but I'd guess it is an attribute of the row selected? If it isn't then I can't see any reason that you would do this code in wddomodifyview and not wddoinit.
Hi Chris and thanks for your help,
lv_guid is the GUID of the document's header; I need to pass it to the method that populates my value help table because the values in it are derived from some fields on the document. (the situation actually is more complex; there's an RFC call on the backend for which the document is intended for to retrieve the data that populate the value help...).
I'm quite unexperienced on webdynpro and terminology; if dropdown menus are fixed selection option that appears on a field, I guess this is not my case. I did a pair of screenshot to provide an idea of what the solution by now is, and what "I would like to have":
[Pre-selection (F4 icon on the field in table)|http://imagebin.ca/view/npIsaqF.html]
[Value Help popup for the field ZZ_PROLE_R3|http://imagebin.ca/view/8fZUh3T.html]
[Result by now |http://imagebin.ca/view/3PaqdvE.html]
[Result I'd like to have.|http://imagebin.ca/view/dExR0J.html]
Chris Paine wrote:
However - by your comment on the "value help dialog box" I am guessing you are using an input field? If this is the case then I would strongly suggest that you change/enhance the structure of the context node THCUS (btw, better coding practise to refer to it as wd_this->wdctx_thcus when using the get child node construct) so that you refer to an actual SAP ddic search help, if you then associate in the structure the value and text fields then populating the text field should happen automatically. Also you'd have the nice side effect that your value help dialog would be named after the associated ddic search help.
Thanks for the code suggestion, I'll apply that. For what concerns the context node THCUS... It is, by standard, a node which I can't explictly find in the context for the view V_DODC_CT. The problem is that ZZ_PROLE_R3 and the corresponding description field ZZ_PROLE_R3_DESC of the table must be filled with data retrieved dynamically @ runtime from the backend. So I guess I can't populate a val help referring to a dictionary table/field; I'd rather do as follows:
- retrieve what's the target backend for the document (to do so, I have to process the document .. that's why the header guid passed to my method);
- RFC call to a custom method that extracts possible values for the specific backend;
- bind the ammissible values to the value help.
Chris Paine wrote:
I realise that this is rather a lot - so if you have any specific question please do respond - hopefully I or someone else will be able to clarify.
Thanks again for your help; additional info as well as code examples would be highly appreciated -
Dynamic record deletion from database table
Hi,
I need to delete selected records from database table(dynamic names). Table names are being passed from main program with some of their field names. The record to be deleted from the database table is being decided based on the fields passed for the table and their contains passed from the main program.
It is not possible to write dynamic where clause for DELETE statement directly.
So, I created a dynamic internal table and i am trying to fetch all records using SELECT statement(for which we can write dynamic where condition, something like...SELECT...WHERE (itab). ) which need to be deleted in the iternal table.
Piece of code :
CONCATENATE c_im v_tablefield1 INTO v_imprtfield1.
CONCATENATE v_tablefield1 c_in v_imprtfield1
into s_condition separated by space.
APPEND s_condition TO t_condition.
PERFORM GET_DYNAMIC_ITAB USING s_flds_agtab-tabname
changing t_itab.
ASSIGN t_itab->* TO <itab>.
*Select the data (to be deleted) from the database table
SELECT * FROM (s_flds_agtab-tabname) INTO TABLE <itab>
WHERE (t_condition).
*Delete the records from the table
IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
DELETE (s_flds_agtab-tabname) FROM TABLE <itab>.
ENDIF.
Here t_condition is of standard table of WHERETXT.
t_condition at the run time before giving dump was:
SPART IN IM_SPART
AND KUNNR IN IM_KUNNR
Here IM_SPART is renge type of SPART and IM_KUNNR is renge of KUNNR.
I am getting a DUMP:
The WHERE condition has an unexpected format.
Error analysis
The current ABAP/4 program attempted to execute an ABAP/4 Open SQL
statement containing a WHERE condition of the form WHERE (itab) or
WHERE ... AND (itab). The part of the WHERE condition specified at
runtime in the internal table itab contains the operator
IN (v1, ..., vn)
in incomplete form.
How to correct the error
If the error occurred in a non-modified SAP program, you may be
able to find a solution in the SAP note system.
If you have access to the note system yourself, use the following
search criteria:
"SAPSQL_IN_ILLEGAL_LIST"
"SAPLZSD_TAB_REFRESH " or "LZSD_TAB_REFRESHU01 "
"Z_SD_REFRESH_AGTABLES"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
following documents to SAP:
I would like to know whether "IN" operator is allowed in (itab) of WHERE clause. While testing I changed the "IN" to "=" specifying a suitable value there. It worked. So please let me know if i can give "IN" operator using renge table in the dynamic where clause.
Thanking you,
SuryaHi again, so if you can not use the IN in a dynamic where clause you might be forced to dynamically build the entire select statement, Here is a sample program which may give you some ideas, notice that we are writing the select statement code, putting it in another program and generating the subroutine at runtime, then call this routine. I'm sure that this will help you see what you need to do.
