Need help in EMAIL Sending - more than 255 character length

Hi Guys,
Please help me in sending the Email attachment which has more than 255 character lengh using 'TXT format.
if i create an internal table having a field of type char225.
then break ur each record into many parts having len <= 255.
how can i mingle both lines to single line in the output list.

Need more than 255 character to show data in print program

Hi All,
I am using read_text FM. We have 8 lines in itab almost 2000 character.
Now I want to show it in my smartforms. I used concatenate lines of itab into result separated by space.
But here I am getting only 255 character in our result. Can any body help me out to resolve this problem.

No need to use the FM Read_text. use include text instead of text element and pass the required field value combination, then SAP will automatically display it.

Need Help, how to create more than one rectangle from one button in one stage of canvas

Dear Guys,
I has problem to create more than one rectangle canvas from one button. here my role to create :
1. I create input size with textfield
2. I click button called "submit query"
3. My web will create a rectangle with specific size.
My problem come when I click again the button, my old rectangle has been remove than my new rectangle has created.
My question is : how I can create more than one without delete/remove the old I was created?

Need help trying to have more than one delegate calendar display in iCal and on mobile devices

I have several calendars that are under my user name in Google. They all work as delegates and life is good.
I'm trying to set up the local school with a calendar for the sports schedule as well as a separate one for district events like school board meetings and would like to be able to add one for the holidays, exams and things of that nature. The sports calendar works but I can't figure out how to add the second caledar to iCal or my iPhone. It shows shared but doesn't appear as a possible delegate in iCal and will not load on the iPhone.
Google has the output to allow more than one calendar to display on a website but syncing at the level I want with the "i" apps isn't obvious.
Am I missing something? I really don't want one very cluttered master calendar for the school. Being able to turn on and off the various types of calendar will make it much easier to manage.

Refer SAP Note 857823, ALV grid cannot display more than 128 characters per field and will truncate all the characters beyond if it's an ABAP program
From my experience it will not display the field at all in SQ01.
You need to write an abap program and split the field into two fields of length 128 and display side by side.
Work around: If you cannot write abap program uncheck (no display in query) that field in SQ02 and generate it. Execute your query and copy the key field use se16n to input in the key fields and use import to excel sheet function to get the required data.

How to send text file as an email attachment havin more than 255 characters

My requirement is to generate a text file and to send this text file as E-mail attachment. I am using FM 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send the E-mail. but here the limitation is the number of characters per line must not be more than 255 characters whereas in my case it is exceeding 1000 characters per line. could anyone please suggest me what should i do now ? Each field in the text file has to be tab delimited.

Simplest might well be to use javamail API instead of the two tags that Sites provides, e.g. see email - Sending mail attachment using Java - Stack Overflow for a full example.

I looked at all threads in the forum, there was about 5 or 6 identical questions, but surprise, nobody knows! It seems that SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 function module does not allow more than 255 characters by line.
It would surprise me a lot if there is no workaround !
As it is very easy to add any binary attachment which is like a very long line, PDF for example (several kilobytes), via the function module above (lots of examples in the forum), I would advise you to try to use the same way, i.e. use the contents_bin parameter instead of the contents_txt parameter (convert the text into binary) and add the line feeds yourself (okay I know, it's not very smart).
Last thing, this function module is deprecated, and we should use BCS classes, maybe they work better.

Unity Connection - sending email to more than one recipient

I would like to know how can I send voicemail message via email to more than one recipient.
It works for me with one recipient (Smart Host + Accept and Relay Message in User Message Actions, but in relay address I can only use one email address).

A mailbox in Unity Connection is intended - and licensed - for a single user. It was not intended to allow for multiple receiptient distribution. If you want that functionality you could create each user a mailbox, add a distribution list with the mailboxes as members, and a call handler to address message to the DL instead of an individual mailbox the messages out.
Short of that you would need to have the SMTP smart host forward the message to multiple people (i.e. an email distribution list)

You have a couple of options:
Put your link into a container element and put that into your text instead of hardcoding it.
Instead of the sendmail step, create a task based on SELFITEM.SENDTASKDESCRIPTION. This is exacly the same as the mail step minus the 'different' step editor in the builder. There you can create the text using the sapscript editor and join lines up.
Have a look around OSS, there are some notes on this issue.
