Need Help In Solving Rotation Image Problem

1 down vote favorite
Hi guys ,
I need your help please. I have spent hours trying to solve it but not working.
I have an image i am rotating when the user clicks on a button. But it is not working.
I would like to see the image rotating gradually till it stops but it doesn't. This it what it does. After i click the button, i don't see it rotating. But when i minimize and maximize the main window, i see the image just rotate(flip) fast like that. It does the rotation but i don't see it as it is doing. It just rotate in a second after minimize and maximize the main window.
I thimk the problem deals with updating the GUI as it is rotating but i don't know how to fix it.
these are the code . Please i have trimed down the code for easy reading.

..Please i have trimed down the code for easy reading. ..Perhaps I am just lazy, but I don't actually like reading code until I've seen it compile in my editor & run. That is why I will advise that for better help sooner, post an SSCCE. For SSCCEs that use images, either generate an image in the code, or hot-link to an image available on the internet. I offer some [images at my site|http://pscode.org/media/#image] that you can hot-link to.

    7. Create a package "Salary_revision" as per steps given below.
    1. Write a function "Update_salary" in the package that accepts two parameters
"Employee_id" and "Sal_raise"-Number, return type should be Number.
    · Function "Update_salary" should be an AUTONOMOUS TRANSACTION function.
    · The function should accept the employee id and the amount of salary to be raised.
    · There should be an update statement which will update the employee table for each
employee id with the current salary + salary to be raised.
After updating the employee table with the new salary , function should return the new salary back.
Q8. Write a PL/SQL block which will fetch all employee id and their salary into a pl/sql table from the employees table .
    1. The Pl/sql table should have two columns to hold the employee id and salary
    2. Loop through the pl/sql table (before starting the loop, a check condition should be provided to see if the pl/sql table is empty.
    3. For each record in the pl/sql table loop, call the function "Update_salary" from the package "Salary_revision" created in "Question 7" .
    4. Pass the values for parameter “employee_id” and “Sal_raise”.
Value for employee id should be the value fetched from pl/sql table
For parameter "sal_raise" , pass value based on the formula given below
Pass 10% of current salary if the current salary is greater than 20lakhs.
Pass 15% of salary if the current salary is greater than 15 lakhs and less than 20 lakhs.
Pass 18% of salary if current salary is greater than 10 lakhs and less than 15 lakhs.
Pass 20% of salary if current salary is less than 10 Lakhs.
    5. The new salary returned should be displayed along with Employee last name and first name (use DMS_out.put_line)
Q9. Create a package Employee_lib with functions as given below.
    1. Create a Function get_emp_doj_dept that will accept the employee id and return his date of join and department number, both these values should be returned together in a record type variable.
    2. Create another function get_emp_doj that will accept the employee id and department number as parameter. The function should fetch only his date of join and return the same. (Appropriate return type variable should be declared).
    3. Create a function get_emp_birthday that will accept department number as parameter.
The first name and last name of all the employees whose birth day falls on the
system date should be populated in a PL/SQL table. (Declare this pl/sql table in the package specification). Function “Get_emp_birthday” should return the count of employees fetched.
Q10. Create a package Employee_lib_overload functions as geiven below.
    1. Create one function "get_emp_doj_bday". This function should be overloaded to handle the functionality of all 3 functions get_emp_doj_dept" , "get_emp_doj" and "get_emp_birthday" created in question #9.
    * If the user calls the function "get_emp_doj_bday" with only employee id as parameter, then it should perform the same functionality of function "get_emp_doj_dept" as in question #9.
    * If the user calls the function "get_emp_doj_bday" with employee id and department number as parameter, then the function should perform the same functionality of "get_emp_doj" as in question #9.
    * If the user calls the function "get_emp_doj_bday" with department number as parameter then it should perform the same functionality of function "get_emp_birthday" as in question #9.

  • Need Help In Solving Positioning Problem

    Hi Guys,
I have a 3 X 3 grid of JLabels of images. I constructed the grid using the grid layout.
I would like to move a round object which represents a car and place that object in a particular cell. So the grid will be like a background.
    My questions are these:
    1) How can i position this object in a specific cell based on the rows and column values? for instance if i want to put the object in [1][0].
    2) How do i move this object to a different cell using the rows and column values. for instance if i want to move the object in [1][0] to [2][1]
Thank you all for your help

This question has nothing to do with Java 2D. I've removed the second thread you started in that forum.
Thank you for providing a link to this thread in the cross post.

  • Need Help In Solving Writing To Queue Problem

    Hi Guys,
I have two threads that are adding to the same message queue. The first one is suppose to add four integers consecutively. Meanwhile the second thread add an integer in between the four integers. Because of that my application is not working properly. I would like that when a thread is adding then the other must wait before it adds. The method that the threads call to add to the queue are all synchronized, but it is still behaving like that.
I need help in solving it.
    Thanks.

Please what do you mean by synchronizing on the same object? Can you explain it to me?
When you synchronize a block of Java code, you synchronize on a particular object, which is called the Monitor.
The effect is only to prevent another thread running this, or another block of code synchronized on the same object.
If you use synchronized methods, then the monitor is the object to which the method belongs (or the class if the method is static). The same synchronized method can be executed simultaneously on a different instance of the object.

Please have a read on the below blog and see whether that is applicable to your VO extension.

  • Need help with IE6 box drop problem DW CS4

Having a problem with this page: http://www.recoverings.com/tarzan.html in IE6. Maincontent drops below the sidebar menu. Looks fine in FF, Safari, IE7.
All other pages work well. I assume that this has something to do with the width of the .wrapnail and .thumbnail divs, but reducing the margins doesn't seem to help and the images start to get too close together. What am I missing here?
Can someone help me solve this?
I would also appreciate any suggestions on cleaning up my CSS. Seems like I have an awful lot of stuff in there. Maybe it's okay but could it be cleaner?
    Thanks for your help,
    Phil

IE bug Float Drop is fairly common.  Make sure your page wrapper division is wider than the combined width of left sidebar + main content + left & right borders if any.  If that doesn't help, add an overflow: hidden rule to your floated container and make sure you have cleared both floats.
More about float drop and the expanding box problem can be found here:

  • Need help restoring a partition image

    Setup: OSX 10.7
One OSX partition, one Windows 7 Bootcamp partition.
Initially, I made a backup image of the windows partition using disk utility and saved that to an external drive.  For some reason, using any format besides DVD master would result in an "invalid argument" error.*  So now I have an ISO image sitting around, the same size as the entire partition.  I can mount this image and see all my Windows files and directories inside.
What I want to do is image this ISO file back over my original windows partition to restore it to an earlier state.  However, when I use disk utility, this is what happens:
Select .iso as source, greyed out (unmounted) partition as destination.
    press restore, agree to erase
DU asks to scan, and then fails with "unable to scan.  Invalid argument"
I can also open the image so that now in finder there is the icon of a disk, surrounded by a rectangle with a corner folder over, and underneath is an image of an external disk drive.  If I choose this as the source, I get "restore failure.  Invalid argument."
All I want to do is write my partition image back to the actual partition.
*That's weird, I just tried to image the partition again right now to a .dmg, and it seemed to start ok.  Oh well.  Still doesn't help with my current problem, though.

OK, I managed to fix it using old fashioned techniques.
First, I needed to check that the image I had was an actual disk image, and not something else contained in a wrapper.
In terminal, I used the command "file" on the image file and it saw a boot sector + other stuff.  That's good.
Next, I checked that the size of the image file is exactly the same as the size of the partition I was going to write to using "diskutil info (name of partition)".  That checked out as well.
Finally, I just did the usual dd if=image file of=target bs=4096 to write the image file back in.  Magically, it worked.  I guess it was good that in the process the partition table was not damaged.
All the other GUI programs like disk utility, winclone, etc refused to touch my iso image file.
I should have saved myself the headache and grabbed the original source image using dd as well.

  • IDVD virgin needs help! Widescreen ration aspect problems

    Hi,
I created QT movies from FCPx all as widescreen, when I play the QT movies they are widescreen but then when I create a iDVD, the ration changes to standard (even though it is set in iDVD to wide). When I am iDVD and look at the preview there is gray around the edges and it looks standard ration. What have I done wrong??  I found this advice:
f a gray border appears in the iDVD windo
When you drag the iDVD window to make it larger, the menu in the iDVD window always maintains the correct aspect ratio of your project (4:3 for standard video and 16:9 for widescreen). The extra space around your menu appears as a gray border.
To return the iDVD window to normal size:
    Choose Window > Actual Size.
You can also drag the window, reducing its size until the gray borders disappear.
But I cannot work out how to do this, I have clicked on Actual size etc but nothing seems to change.... I'm so crap at this, I really need help! thanks!

With the QT files I made straight from FCPx it says, 195.8mb 720 x 576. Then I used 'prism' and converted all the chapters and now they say 11.3mb 1024 x 576. I put them back into iDVD and it solved the widescreen problem. When I view the converted files in iDVD now they are widescreen and work. HOWEVER, I seem to have a new problem! Now there are 2 things that happen.
    1. Everything is widescreen but when I click on the chapters to view the video's, it automatically stops being full screen and goes down to a smaller screen and then you need to click 'full screen' for it to go back, this only happens on a few of them.
    2. Some parts of the DVD don't work, the footage goes all funny like ghosts and it jumps around and doesn't play nicely, then all of a sudden it works for a bit, then back to not working.
I tried using 2 different themes and the same thing happened. Any thoughts?

  • Need sugestions to solve this annoying problem

Hey everyone, after many hours i decided to ask for your help.
    Here's the problem.
I have two txt. files one of them has :
    1st txt:
    Barcelona 14 20 // Airport , x and y (coord.)
    Caliornia 30 40
    Paris 2 15
    Fiji 20 23
and the 2nd txt file has:
40 // number of flights for exemple
C 0025 Barcelona California // type, number, Start point , destiny
    A 0045 California fiji
    C 0032 Barcelona Paris
    C 0047 Paris Barcelona
    A 0078 fiji Paris
    C 0065 California Barcelona
So what im trying to do is if the type is "C" (Comercial) catch the coordenates from the start point and the arrived point...to do that i think we must compare (don't know how) those strings with the other strings from the 1st txt file, because the coordenates are inside the first txt. file. I need to catch the coordenates from the start point and from the destiny point, so we can't give a line , beacause it must be a dynamic way , this operation must result to any txt. file (2nd one) it can has 5 flights or 50 flights, just has to
    return all the coordenates ( x1 y1 ) and (x2 y2) .
    Any sugestion?
What i already did, was to insert all the names into a String [ ] , and then inserted into a LinckedList , so its like: e.g String word [ ] :
word[0] has all the names word [1] has all the xx's , word[2] the yy's this for the 1st txt file.
For the 2nd , i did the same thing but this one has four columns.
another String [ ] ...words [0] has all the types , words[ 2] the start points and words [3] the destiny point.
Need a serious help with this thing.
    [[]] thanks everyone!!

loop through file 2 adn check if first word[0] is a C

  • NEED HELP...FORMATING SIZE PROBLEM

I've been succesfully building and formating projects that only lasted 30 minutes.
I'm having some problems with my latest project (1 hour and 20 minutes)...
I did compress with "90 minutes best quality".
and when I import in dvdsp, the file size is 6 GB.
Now it won't format into a blank dvd-R.
I am kinda new at this and need to put it on a dvd for a client.
Could somebody tell me what should I do ?
Should I compress again or can I still burn it with another form of blank dvd?
    I need help...
    Thank you.

Make sure to select A.Pack/Dolby (make sure that file is made) and use that in the project, not the .aif file

  • Need help in quantizing an image(using adobe photoshop CS3)

    Hi All,
I am using window and adobe photoshop CS3 extended. I had an image whereby i had already perform histogram equalization. I would like to quantize the image obtained into 2 bits per pixel, per channel. Can anyone advise me? The image is a 24 bit colour BMP file whereby the bit depth is 24 bits. Pls advise.

Hi, I managed to find the refresh cached option. However there is still one thing which i need some clarification on.
The problem for me is to quantize the image into 2 bits per pixel per channel. I understand from the previous post that i need to use posterize and set it to 4. My questions are as follow.
    1) why must the value be 4? if the value is 4 then there should be 8 bits, but my question require a total of 6 bits only
    2) After saving my quantized image, the properties of the image still show me the bit depth being 24, thus is there any where whereby i can check that each color pixel is exactly represented by 2 pixels?
    Hope you can advise. Tks

    Hi Vikash,
This query will not produce results as per requirement:
    Try it with following data
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (1,777,'abc','2/14/2014 11:15','3/14/2014 9:02')
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (1,777,'abc','2/21/2014 9:00','3/14/2014 9:02')
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (2,777,'abc','2/28/2014 9:00','3/14/2014 9:02')
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (2,777,'abc','3/7/2014 9:02','3/14/2014 9:02')
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (2,777,'abc','3/14/2014 9:02',NULL)
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (5,888,'xyz','2/14/2014 11:15','3/14/2014 9:02')
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (5,888,'xyz','2/21/2014 9:00','3/14/2014 9:02')
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (5,888,'xyz','2/28/2014 9:00','3/14/2014 9:02')
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (7,888,'xyz','3/7/2014 9:02',NULL)
    Insert into @TempTABLE values (6,888,'xyz','3/14/2014 9:02',NULL)
as per the problem statement, all records having 888,'xyz' should be updated with 6 not 7 as max effective date is associated with 6 not 7.
    Ashutosh
    Nope.
can you check the original post first. It clearly states output as having 7 as id for all the records with 888,xyz
also your above posted sample data is different from original sample data as you've dates jumpled up for the records with ids 6 and 7
Please see the illustration for original sample data
    --sample table for illustration
    declare @t table
