I am creating an update rule there i need to compare some filed with the fields in inforsouce so here what should be the name used for the infosource can i use something like this
read table TAB where

where DATA_PACKAGE is the infosource
is this the rite method

Use this in Update Routine.

here field name will be in format of : /bic/fieldname

I am working on BI 7.0
This is my scenario.I need to take a project cost report.
There are some projects in cProjects and some projects in R/3 (Project System).
Each project in cProjects is linked with one or more projects in R/3.
They are linked by means of GUID.Now I need to pull out a report from a infocube(Z infocube) which has information both from R/3 and cProjects.I built a Z infocube.
Here comes my problem.
I need to write update rule for the requirement explained below.
For all the projects(in cProjects) I need to find its GUID from the table-DPR_PROJECT . These GUIDs are contained in this table under the field name GUID.
The same GUID numbers I can find it in another table-DPR_OBJLINK under the field PROJECT_GUID. For this PROJECT_GUID numbers, I need to identify the corresponding EXTERNAL_ID(this field is in the table-DPR_OBJLINK) of the projects(These projects are R/3 projects). These EXTERNAL_ID values has to be pulled out in the report.
I am using the extractor 0CO_OM_WBS_1.
Please help me out with the update rule code.
Please help me out as soon as possible.

The system determines the professional tax payable by an employee, based on the following factors:
Professional tax basis u2013 Comprises those salary components on which a professional tax is applicable. The salary components to be included for calculating the professional tax basis depend on the state. The different components are:
Basic pay
Dearness allowance
Medical reimbursement perquisite
Housing
Profits in lieu of salary
Other remuneration that an employee receives regularly
Bonus
It is depending on the combination of the Personnel Area, Personnel sub area and the professional tax grouping of the employee, that the system identifies factors such as the:
Components of the professional tax basis.
Method and the frequency of calculating and deducting professional tax.

That is a very old version belonging to Snow Leopard. I take it you are not actually running Yosemite.

It is simple, here is some sample code. You must use getbykey to get the document. Then once you got it you can make whatever changes you need. Then update it. where i have oOrder.Update() you can have oOrder.cancel

Hello. I am trying to write a routine on an key figure in an update rule. Basically, I am trying to load a custom key figure with either a 1 or a 0.
Here is the pseudocode:

I think you can not put "-" in if command, so code should be like this:

Update rules error urgent

Hi friends,
Iam uploading data Parallely ODS &CUBE.
But iam getting Red in ODS and Yellow in CUBE.
When i check the error in ods level.
showing below error ...
Update rules ( 12485 -> 0 Records ) : Errors occurred
Fatal error in customer routine 9998.
What does it mean?
My routine progrm is written in ODS level like
fill the internal table "MONITOR", to make monitor entries
LOOP AT DATA_PACKAGE.

Hi Ramya,
You would need to debug the code to find the exact place where it is failing.
You would need to include an infinite loop in the start routine of the update rules. Your code may be as follows:
data: t_debug_flag_start value 'X'.
if t_debug_flag_start = 'X'.
do.
if t_debug_flag_start = ' '.
exit.
endif.
enddo.
endif.
Now when you execute the infopackage you would find that a generated program GP*** in sm50. You can debug the generated program by changing the value of t_debug_start.

Dataguard - logical standby - need help - not updating data at commit

Need help ?
We have logical standby setup where data is not updated at standby when committed at Primary. It only updates when alter system swith logfile.
On Primary:
log_archive_dest_2='service=xxStandby LGWR ASYNC valid_for=(online_logfiles,primary_role) db_unique_name=xxStandby'
On Standby:
we have already created standby redo logs ( 1+ # redo logs)
we used ALTER DATABASE START LOGICAL STANDBY APPLY IMMEDIATE NODELAY;
The data only ships when we do the ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE whereas it should so when data is commited on the primary.
Is there anything we are missing or need attention.

Yes, I have standby redo logs = ( 1 + # redo logs on the primary) and are of same size.
I also changed the log_archive_dest_2 setting for valid_for to ALL_LOGFILES, but the performance is still very slow... we are now overr 9 hrs behind the primary.

The Logical standby performance reallly not good at all. trying to increase sga/pga more ... hoping this will speed up some

Abap Code help in update rule

Hi Gurus,
I have a requiement, that is if there are 5 line items with in a document and each one has diffeerent tax jurisdiction code, then we should be showing only one tax jurisdiction code for a document. Line items are not displayed in report. The condition to pick up tax jurisdiction code is the one which has least ending zeros among all the lime items with in a document.
Supppose
Doc1 Item Tax Jurisdiction code
1800000002 1 CNQC00000000000
1800000002 2 CNQC00000000000
1800000002 3 CN0000000000000
1800000002 4 CNQC00000000000
1800000002 5 TXJOHNCLEBUR000
So here the value of Tax Jurisdiction code is TXJOHNCLEBUR000 as it has least ending zeros compared to other values with in a document.
Any help how to use the string function and acheive the desired result.

Thanks for the reply. we don't expect any non-zeros after seeing first zero. Now i have added another z object which will contain only least zeros for a doc. What I am doing is now after loading the data into the cube from ods i am doing loop back and updating the new z object. Below is the code I am trying to do

now I have one more doubt , the number of items in a document will be varying so how to takecare of this...
If possible can you please provide me with the abap code that you have mentioned in earlier post.

Update rule problem - Urgent pls???

Below is the code i used in my start routine of the update rule.
Here im sorting the values and then for calday field im filling with the value if it is empty.
eg:
rec1>ord001>25.06.2006-->val1
rec2>ord001>          -->val1
in the second record im filling with date of the previous record.
This logic is working fine.If i give any one order number.
If i load all the values,it is not updating.
I think this rule is not getting applied for all the datapackets..(something like that-any problem with looping???)

I think that the metter happens when the first record is in a datapackage and the second in next one.
In that case you have the matter.
The only way you can do this right is managing data directly in PSA table befor loading.
Also if you have two record with DATA_PACKAGE-CALDAY = '00000000' the secon is filled with '' because fo the clear.

If you are executing update statement from sqlplus session.
Make sure "feedback" is turned on. It'll show numbers of rows updated just after the command;
SQL> update tt1 set col1 = 1;
0 rows updated.
SQL> show feedback
FEEDBACK ON for 1 or more rows
SQL> set feedback off
SQL> update tt1 set col1 = 1;
SQL>Details about this sqlplus system setting:
FEED[BACK] {6|n|OFF|ON}
Display the number of records returned (when rows >= n )
OFF (or n=0) will turn the display off
ON will set n=1

You have already asked this question once. You did not get any good answers, because you the information you gave was insufficient. And I'm afraid that the information is still in sufficient.
Or more exactly, from the example you have given, the answer is: can't be done. And the reason it can't be done, is as I explained in response to you first thread: there is no information in the data to from which we can deduce that Clorox Company
should be under "Week 1-1,K.B,F". The fact that rows are listed in a certain order in the screenshoot is of no importance, because a table is an unordered object.
But you said in another post that you have a timestamp column. Maybe that column is usable - maybe it is not. But at least it is a key that you have more columns that the ones you show.
The best way to get help with this type of problems is to post:
1) CREATE TABLE statement for your table(s).
2) INSERT statements with sample data.
3) The desired result given the sample.
4) A short description of the actual buisness problem you are trying to solve.
5) Which version of SQL Server you are using.
This makes it easy to copy and paste into a query window to develop a tested solution. Screenshots with an insufficient amount of data is not going to help you very much.

MAC OS 10.6.8 Using Safari 5.1 Needing Help With Updating Adobe Flash

Hello-
Recently Adobe Flash installed an icon in my System Preferences and when I click the icon there are several tabs. One allows updates to check automatically. It says it will install the latest version of Flash without having to remove the previous version, but I have never been told that a newer version is available unless I clcik "check now." although "Check for updates automatically" is checked, I do not know where it tells me a newer version is available. Also, there has been 5 "newer versions" available since this icon was installed in System Prefeences, I have only found out about the newer versions when I clicked "Check Now." If I read that with this new way to install the latest Mac version of Flash does not require me to uninstall the previous version of Flash how do I install the most recent version of Flash? Does it come in an email?
Since it is not telling me that there is a more recent version of Flash unless I click "Check Now" should I still do it the way I used to install the latest version of flash? (The way before this icon was added to System Preferences)?
I would appreciate help with updating Flash to the most recent version. I used to uninstall the older version, restart the browser and download the most recent version and install it. It always worked find but this was before there was an Adobe icon in my system Preferences.

The way you used to do this (uninstall, restart the browser, etc.) is still definitely valid and probably the "safest" way to get a new version installed. Uninstalling shouldn't be required, but it definitely doesn't hurt. If you feel comfortable doing it the old way, please feel free to continue using that process.
As for notifications, this is a bit trickier, but in general you should be notified within 30 days (or so) after a new player is released. This usually occurs when the browser loads swf content. Clicking the button will, like you mention, immediately check. Another alternative to finding out when a new player is released is to subscribe to our Flash Player Releases feed.
Is there a way to be automatically notified when a new Flash Runtime release is made?
