Need help inserting spry correctly
ok im trying to build a website about video games which will include things like cheats, tips, guides, etc. for thousands of games so im gonna have a lot of pages so using a template is my only choice. Wehn making the template i created an editable region in the middle of the page. When i go to create a page from the template and try to insert a spry tabbed panel inside this editable region it tells me that its locked by the template blah blah blah. If it's an editable region i do not understand why it won't let me insert the spry menu. Also i have inserted a spry vertical menu as a navigation bar in the template that i want to repeat on all pages of the site and update on all pages when i update the template. Keep in mind that i am a novice and im sure this is my own fault.
I recommend doing some experiments with Spry menus and templates on pages that don't involve your actual project. Then when you have the techniques sorted out, you can proceed to apply them to your pages. A very minor typo can wreak havoc on a page, template, Spry, or otherwise, so tread carefully.
If you have not investigated tutorials for both Spry Menus and Templates (not together...), you will find many right here on the Adobe site.

Need Help with spry for uploading to a website
Sorry if there is already a thread about this but i cant seem to get this to work. Hello, I have two templates that I am using. Both have a horizontal menu bar across the top of the page and then two Vertical Spry Menu Bars down the left hand side of the page - one above the other. On one template, all menu bars are working correctly. On the other template, 2 out of three are working correctly. Not sure what's happening here. The spry menu bar that is not working correctly is under "Books & Materials" heading. The menu bar is supposed to turn green when you mouse over it, but instead everything turns white and looks like it "disappears". I have no idea why it would work on one template and not the other. Or for that matter, why it is working on one vertical spry menu bar, but not the other on the same page. Need help with Spry Collapsible panels
I'm fairly inexperienced with Dreamweaver (CS4) and especially new to the Spry feature, so bear with me... I need all the help I can get! I've inserted six Spry collapsible panels to an HTML page and uploaded everything (including SpryCollapsiblePanel.css and SpryCollapsiblePanel.js), but they're automatically displaying as open and I can't click on them or close them. I'd like them to be closed until selected and opened.
What am I doing wrong?

Make sure your spry assests folder is in your root directory and upload the files once you know they are where they should be.

Need help formatting Spry drop down menu
FYI, I'm using CS3 on a Mac.
I'm working on a full CSS layout of a page in a site. OK, not
full CSS, I have a table controlling the text in the main content
area. I need a drop down menu for this page, so I inserted a spry
menu bar for the page navigation. *phew*! The learning curve on
that is killing me! :) Just trying to get the menu items spread out
("full justify") has take me forever. I'm still having some major
issues.
Can someone tell me which styles to adjust to fix the things
below? I think I have fixed most of it, but can't figure out these
items:
1. I want the sub menu items to have normal font weight (but
the main menu items should remain "bold"
2. I want the sub menu items' background to extend at least
past the end of the item. With some of the longer items, the
background is cut off.
3. I want the border back around the sub menu items. It was
there originally, but I some how removed it and can't get it back.
I don't want a border around the main menu items.
4.
Most importantly! The sub menu items don't line up
vertically in IE on my PC. They fall into several horizontal rows
that run off the side of the page - almost impossible to use!
5. Oh, and I almost forgot, the submenu is now showing up all
the way on the left side of the page. It should be directly below
the "Participating Farms" link.

I am writing a binary search tree, the tree nodes are basically string objects encapsulated by the TreeNode class. I have trouble writng the insert(Comparable item) which insert item to my BST. I have:

When I add the code needed at the bottom of the code where you initiate the instance, it stacks the content of ALL panels in the first panel, and renders the tabs inoperable. This is a key feature I need in a new site being developed.

Need help on the correct directory extract structure for SP15 .SAR files
Hi all,
With the help of many here I have been able to finally download all the SP15 files I need for my EP 6.0 on WAS 6.40. I am currently on SP11 for both EP and WAS and want to move up to SP15.
I downloaded all the .SAR files and did SAPCAR -xvf all from within a temp directory I created. Yes, some of the LABEL.ASC files were being overwritten.
After all the extracts, I ran SAPINST and it did start, but unlike when I ran SP11, I had options for KM, EP, Tools, etc. This time it only presented me with options for the WAS and the first option was "Import Support Package 15" (with the other options being for dialog instances). There was nothing about EP, Tools, KM, etc.
I ran the Import option and it completed successfully. I then thought it either did everything or if I reran it the other options (for EP, KM, etc.) would now show up. Of course, I was wrong.
So where am I exactly going wrong regarding extracting all the .SAR files into the proper directory structure so that SAPINST runs correctly?
Please help if you can.

I think you extracted the files for the J2ee engine. Generally you will have a different SAPINST for Portal. Please refer the stack guide for SPS15 Page 22 for the files you need and the procedure to apply it.

Boss is gonna kill me. I Need help inserting a DATE/TIME into MSAccess
Hello,
I have spent way to long trying to figure out how to insert a date into the date/time field of a microsoft access database. Could someone please help me figure this out. I know there are a million previous posts about this topic and i looked through a bunch and none of them seem to work... i have tried so many different things. The code i am working (at this point in time.. since it has changed a million times) is:
String MYDATE = "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss a";
Date date = new Date();
String dateout = new SimpleDateFormat(MYDATE).format(date);
System.out.println(" the date is " + dateout);
Timestamp timeStamp = new Timestamp(date.getTime());
timeStamp.setNanos(0);
System.out.println(" the date is " + timeStamp);
String sql2 = "INSERT INTO DATE5 (stuff, date) VALUES ('hello', CVDATE(" + timeStamp + "))";
ProblemTrackingDB.DoUpdate(sql2);

i have tried both of those ways and either work (ie... comment one out and try the other)
i always get a " Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement" thrown
i have also tried without the single quotes.
Any help would Be MUCH appreciated as my boss is starting to get agrivated...

JonChange your program to use a PreparedStatement to do this insert. You only need to create a PreparedStatement once, so in your constructor or initializer do this:PreparedStatement insert = connection.PrepareStatement("INSERT INTO DATE5 (stuff, date) VALUES (?, ?)");Then the code to write a record is this:Timestamp timeStamp = new Timestamp(date.getTime());
timeStamp.setNanos(0);
insert.setString(1, "hello");
insert.setTimeStamp(2, timeStamp);
insert.executeUpdate();That's all. You never need to mess about with formatting timestamps in the way your database needs them, the PreparedStatement takes care of all that for you. -
I'm using SPRY to make a navigation bar. When I hover the
cursor over a menu item, it highlights the box in the color blue. I
don't understand where it's getting this information from? I've
gone through all the settings in the CSS styles box.
This is what I want to happen: When you hover over a menu
bar item the text changes from white to red. Background
transparent.

After much playing with the spry menu css file i managed to
change the parent menu colours and then assign a diffrent colour to
the submenu's. Unfortunetly in my case it works perfectly in
Firefox but completely screws up in Internet Exploerer 7 and have
no clue how to fix it to look right in both. So here is the code u
need to find in the CSS file but make sure it doesn't screw things
up in IE 7 it shouldn't do but it might.

Need help with spry collapsible panel (menu)
I learn as I go when I created my website http://www.invitation-fascination.com/shapes.html and so far I've created a page with 13 spry collapsible panels- I think it came out pretty well. Now this is what I want to add to the page:
I want to create a selector (drop down) menu above the panels with the option to select any one of the 13 panels.
Once selected it will move directly to that panel and open it.
I've tried the piselect thing and with the "open" and "close" button that will programatically open the panels, but what I want is for the panel to be selected from the menu and then the page goes directly to that panel and it then opens.
Is there a way this can be done? Please help

Nube needs help inserting a JQuery horizontal menu bar into my site-help.
Please forgive the ignorance of my questions but I am new to Mobile site design and Dreamweaver.
I am trying to build a responsive web site for my company that can be viewed on multiple platforms, but am having trouble inserting a responsive menu and responsive slide show.
This post is in regard to the menu bar, which I have created using JQuery on a seperate page. I have managed to get the layout to work but still can't figure out how to create mouse overs for the links
or how to insert it into my site.
Please help.
Why can't I see the nav bar in the site when I paste in?

Need help inserting 2 rollover images in a footer
I used two separate rollover images to put in a footer of a
page. When seeing in a browser I only see one rollover, the footer
is big enough I don't understand. Yet if I delete the second
rollover and copy the first underneath I see it in the browser but
after giving the image another name and swapping for the correct
images I disappears. I have no problem using the add hyperlink
which works fine. but the client insists I use the rollover images.

As you can see, whenever you hover over one of the links, a
sub menu appears. This is great and everything, except I would
really like to make two minor adjustments:
1) I would like to decrease the line-spacing between the main
menu and the submenus.
2) I would like to change the font color of the sub-menu for
better readability.
I created this menu using Dreamweaver's Spry Menu feature. To
get the desired results so far, I simply played around with the CSS
file. The only two things I can't figure out are the above. I tried
to change the font color of the submenus in the CSS file, but there
is no tag that allows you to do this. I found a "Help" document on
repositioning the location of the submenus but every time I try, I
don't get any noticeable results.
Any ideas on how to pull off what I'm looking to do? Any
replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Bump
