Need HELP on upgrading to os 4.5!!!

ok..this is my like second time trying to updrage my blackberry....my problem is that i just intalled my desktop manger 4.3, then i upgraded to 4.6...after that is done i deleted the vender.xml..after that i connect my blackberry on my computer and a pop up came...it was like reading if it had any update or something. I was like YES FINALLY but, i it just disappeared and i was like NO!!!....i did all the steps correctly right....??
need help!!......possible problems there is a desktop software 4.7 now should i have downloaded that?
i dont get the difference on the handheld softeware and the desktop software....and when i go to device sooftware i see it said upgrade to 4.5, i click on it and download it but nothing happens....

you have the Desktop Manager, that includes many things including :
a synchronization tool for Calendar, contacts, tasks
a backup tool
an application installation tool (to install applications on your device, from the PC)
an OS install tool (for example to upgrade the OS on your device)
that Desktop Manager exists in many versions : 4.3, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7. Since you are using a Curve, any version is okay for you. The latest is supposed to have less bugs.
About the OS : it's something else. There are several OS versions for the Curve : 4.2 4.2.1 4.3 4.5. Depending on your carrier, you may have access to some. You can install the OS from another carrier if you want to, it just requires to delete the vendor.xml file.
Install an OS : one way of doing that is :
download the OS installer on your PC
install the OS on your PC. It will bring the OS inside the Desktop Manager
use the Desktop Manager to upload the OS from the Desktop Manager to the device.

Okay Demo. My theory is that accessing iCloud if apps were backed up to it can be redownload end then updated. I am thinking that with the new apple ID the iCloud account may only recognize the high jacked ID. I don't know if I made it clearer but I can do some digging. I don't like to see people using Apple devices having a tuff time. Not cool.

Purchasing MBA but need help on upgrades.

Hello, I am purchasing an MBA, but need help on upgrades based on the following; I will be attending medical school in the fall, I take a wide range of photos of my family on my iPhone that I play with on certain apps and do store them in the cloud and computer, I have a medium iTunes libaray but will get bigger with the additional apps for school, I am a moderate gamer (I play games online as well as my kids do, but nothing that will take up a ton of space when downloaded like Assassins Creed) and I plan on running MS Office. I've already decided to upgrade to the 8GB but I can't decide if I should upgrade to the 512GB Flash or stay with the 256GB and upgrade from the i5 to i7 or stick with it. I don't plan on buying another until I graduate. I am new to the Mac World outside of the use of my iPhone which convience me to convert from my awful PC. My rule of thumb is to buy the largest drive storage available. Especially since the Air models can't be upgraded to a larger size in the future. I also like to buy the most amount of RAM offer and as with the storage space on the Air models can't be upgraded once purchased. So Bite the Bullet and spend the money to get both the most RAM and the largest storage offered as neither can be increased later on. Also I suggest you spend the extra money on the Applecare extended warranty because to fix any Mac once the standard warranty is over is very expensive. You have until the one year standard warranty runs out to buy the Applecare extended warranty.

The only way to upgrade from 10.6.8 (which is high as Snow Leopard goes) is to obtain Lion or Mountain Lion from the Online Apple Store or Yosemite from the Mac App Store.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price (though it's reported to have been removed from sale in some countries so may well cease to be available generally) but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Yosemite (10.10.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only. Mavericks (10.9.x) is no longer available.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Yosemite are:
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of available space
and the supported models are:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)

I am trying to create a workshop on a VM for showing the migration / upgrading of Oracle Forms 10g to Oracle 11g FMW using the Upgrade Assistant tool available in <ORACLE_HOME>/bin/ua.bat.
As per my understanding of pre-requisites:
1)     I need to install Oracle SOA Suite 10g on my VM.
2)     I also need to install Oracle SOA Suite 11g on my VM.
3)     I need to install Oracle Forms/Reports Services 10g on my Oracle SOA Suite 10g installation.
4)     I need to run Oracle Forms/reports installer on my Oracle SOA Suite 11g installation.
5)     I need to run upgrade assistant tool on my VM to upgrade my form from source(Oracle SOA Suite 10g) to destination(Oracle SOA Suite 11g). Is it mandatory for this migration that I should have Oracle SOA Suite 10g and Oracle SOA Suite 11g on the same system ?
Having all these software installed on one VM would be difficult. So just wanted to check can I avoid any software to install on VM ?
If there is any alternative suggestion then please let me know.

we have a RAC setup with 2 nodes DB version is 11.1.0.6 and OS is LinuxX-86 64 bit machine. We found that 6890831 needs to be applied as a part of upgrade activity. I gone through read me of patch but have few doubts on the procedure. Can any body help me on the same?
Upon reading the document i am not clear on upgrade path like do i need to upgrade clusterware as well or not? Based on the initial study following action plan has been prepared by me, please correct me if my action plan is not correct.
1) Stop the DB.
2) Stop nodeapps.
3) Stop the CRS(using non-rolling upgrade).
4) apply the patch to CLUSTER ORACLE_HOME.
5) apply the patch to RDBMS ORACLE_HOME.
6) doing post-installation steps like DB upgrade.
Please emphasize on 4th step. Thanks in-advance.

Upon reading the document i am not clear on upgrade path like do i need to upgrade clusterware as well or not?You need to upgrade the clusterware before RDBMS....therefore it is not optional. You first need to upgrade the clusterware and then the RDBMS.
The steps listed by you seems to be in order (from a high-level).

Need help with upgrade from Adobe Creative Suite to PS CS4

My old laptop with Photoshop on it crashed and I ended up purchasing a new laptop.
I'm trying to reload my PS CS4. I am using an upgrade from an educational Adobe Creative Suite Premium to the CS4 and when I loaded it on my old laptop I had to get installation help through customer service, but now customer service will not help me since it is CS4.
When installing the upgrade, it tell me to select the product I already own. I own the educational full creative suite, but am only upgrading the Photoshop. I chose Photoshop CS and tried entering the serial number for the suite. It tells me that the serial number doesn't match the product chosen. Of course the only products I'm allowed to choose from is Photoshop CS, CS2, or CS3 and not Creative Suite Premium.
The other serial numbers on this CS is Golive CO and Pagemaker Plug-in.
I was told there are Adobe customer service reps here on the forum, please tell me what it was I need to do to get my Photoshop installed.

i wasn't aware that you could get a ps4 at an upgrade price using an older creative suite produect. i searched online and found this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/476009) which makes it appear that was not a valid upgrade path.
but, if you're confident that was a valid upgrade path, i'm pretty sure something will need to be done on adobe's end and no amount of manipulation, on your end only, will work.
your best bet would be to get help in this forum from an adobe staff member like jeff wright who is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to help adobe customers. to that end, if i were you, i would start a new thread mentioning his name in your title and in your initial post explaining:
you have the educational Adobe Creative Suite Premium and purchased a photoshop cs4 upgrade years ago that required adobe support help to install years ago.
that worked well until a recent computer problem forced you buy a new laptop and you are now trying to reinstall that ps cs4 and again need support help but have been refused help because cs4 is not current.

Yeah at the cost of an 8 gig chip I would not risk it. Get a 4 gig so you have 6 total. We know that will work and it is hard to imagine needing more memory than that. If you want to spend the money get 2 x 4 gigs which are likely cheaper than 1 x 8 gig and run 8 total.

Need help: just upgraded to Mavericks, now can't use audio interface.

I just upgraded to mavericks, and now Itunes and my other programs don't recognize my audio interface.
It's a MobilePre USB preamp. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver without success. Interesting, QuickTime sends audio to the external preamp, the sound is filled with static. I've tried playing with latency, but that doesn't help.
I can't understand why Quicktime recognizes the external device, but Itunes doesn't. Suggestions are appreciated.
My machine is 21.5 inch late 2009 model with a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 12 GB of RAM.

If this is correct perhaps an email to Avid could help. I would think that they need to update their drivers to suit Mavericks.
There is also a link on that page to an article about Pro Tools and state that it is not supported on Mavericks at this time.

Ok...I am having trouble with a graphics card I just got. It's the EVGA GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 64bit DVI/HDMI/VGA Low Profile Graphics Card 02G-P3-3733-KR. It's a very good entry level card according to every one I've talked to. It was reasonably priced so I bought one. When I installed it all I get is an amber power light and beeping sound. So I contact EVGA to see if it's incompatible with my computer model. This is what they said: "We do apologize for any issues with your GT 730. Your hardware should be sufficient to run the graphics card; however, you will need to remove any ATI/AMD software or drivers prior to installing our NVIDIA based graphics card, as this can cause driver conflicts. Although this graphics card does not require a UEFI motherboard BIOS, you may want to check with HP to see if this system can run 700 series NVIDIA graphics cards." Sooo... based on that last part I underlined, can this computer run that model of card?
Oh... another note: I guess the card could be defective too. I always seem to get the dud of the bunch if there is one. LOL. If that's the case I'll mail it back to Amazon.
My official warranty support has run out so you're the only guys and gals that can help me with this. Any info or advice will be greatly appreciated. Or if you can recommend any other graphics card upgrades that would work, that would be awesome too. Thanks so much in advance!!!

The quote about removing AMD drivers from EVGA seems to be bogus. I have multiple EGVA graphics cards and none of the printed directions ever mention removing AMD drivers. I have run and removed AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards without having to remove the previous drivers.
If your PC doesn't have a version 8 BIOS then the NVIDIA 7xx graphics cards may not work.

Hi,
When upgrading make sure to explore transaction SU25 (Not all options will need to be run). Ranges of transactions are not always added correctly to the newly-created roles. Some of the transactions in the middle of the range are occasionally left off. E.g. you have a transaction range of VA01 VA04 for a specific manual profile. After SU25 conversion, the new Role only contains VA01 and VA04. Transactions VA02 and VA03 were not added. It is important that a complete download of table UST12 is done prior to running SU25. Once SU25 has been run, a new download of UST12 can be done to identify which transactions have been dropped off. The missing transaction codes will need to be added manually to the relevant role via PFCG
From this transaction you will also be informed of all updated transactions and the roles which will be affected.
You will also be able to transport the custom table for your updated SU24 values.
Remember also that any SAP standard roles being used must be regenerated.

i've been running a PowerPc G5 with OS X 10.4.11 since 2006.
i need to upgrade that to something a lot newer as there are hardly any programs that work on that now, (i need to be able to run Adobe premiere pro and after effects), but my OS is too old... which newer ones work, because i find it all very confusing.
the specs of my system is are:

minimum system requirements
* 512MB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
* DVD drive for installation
* 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it!

I was woundering how to intall ram im new at computers and i dont even know what ram to put in. I would like to upgrade from 6 to mabey 12. I need to know what specific type of ram it is also the pins on the mother board.Also my fan is very loud and slows my computer down is this normal and can i fix it or can i buy a new one?

I have a very similar laptop, You can upgrade to 16 gigs of RAM but your best upgrade will be to upgrade the 6 to 8.
