Need help on using T-code KEB5

In this transacation,
I found that the delta method for COPA data sources can be  changed  from generic delta to time stamp mgmt in Profitability Analysis.
<b>But it displays warning</b>
This function is only available for DataSources with time stamp mgmt
in Profitability Analysis.
It changes the internal control information on the DataSource.
<b>Improper use can create data inconsistencies that cannot be resolved</b>.
First read the appropriate notes about using this function that are
found in the Extractor IMG.
I read the notes , but couldnt quite understand much,
plz give your inputs if anybody had used this t-code before.
plz  look what i am trying to achieve, look at my previous thread
<b>
How to edit copa data source or change delta method.Need t-code/procedure</b>

Hi Ravi,
Generic Extraction is used to extract data from COPA tables. And delta method used to extract delta records (records created after initilization) is timestamp.
What is this timestamp?
Assume that, you have posted 10 records one after the other to the COPA tables. And we do initilization to move all these 10 records to BW system. Later another 5 records are added to COPA tables. How do you think the system identifies these new 5 records (delta records).?
It identifies based on a timestamp field (eg : Document created on ,a 16 digit decimal field).
Assume that, in our previous initilzation, say  "document created on" field for the last (or the latest) record is 14/11/2006, 18.00 hrs. and  timestamp is set to the 14/11/2006, 18.00hrs.  then when you do delta update, the system treats all the records with "document created on" field is greater than 14/11/2006, 18.00 hrs as delta records. This is how new 5 records are extracted to bw system and timestamp is again set to the new value besed in field in the records.(say 14/11/2006, 20.00hrs)
Assume that, you have two records with "document created on" field as 14/11/2006, 17.55hrs and 14/11/2006, 17.57hrs. and they were updated to the COPA table after 14/11/2006,20.00hrs (at this time last delta load is done)  due to some reason. How can you bring these two records? For this, purpose we can reset the timestamp at KEB5. In this eg, we can reset as 14/11/2006, 17.50 hrs) and do the delta again. So, the system picks all the records which are posted after 14/11/2006,17.50hrs again.  But remember that, doing this, you sending some of the records again (duplicate records). So, make sure that you sending ODS object. otherwise you end up with inconsistant data due to duplicate records.
Hope this helps!!

    Need help with a activation code for Adobe Acrobat X Standard for my PC, Don't have older Version of Adobe Acrobat 9, 8 or 7.

    You don't need to install the older version, you only need the serial number from your original purchase. If you don't have them to hand, did you register? If so, they should be in your Adobe account. If not you really need to contact Adobe, though it isn't clear they will be able to do anything without some proof of purchase etc.

  • Need help in using sleep function in pl/sql

    Hi,
    need help:
    I have a condition where i want to validate total_pass=total_fail and
    I want to use the sleep function in a pl/sql where i want to wait for 2 minutes ie.checking
    whether total_pass=total_fail based upon class_id .
    I have the data in the table as:
    CLASS_ID TOT_PASS TOT_FAIL
    1 10 10
    2 5 4
    3 6 6
    4 7 5
    Any help will be needful for me

    I'm not quite sure what you are lookg for here, but whatever it is, your code as posted won't do it. You will never break out of the WHILE r_Class.Tot_Pass = r_Class.Tot_Fail loop, since these values will never change because you never get the next record form the cursor.
    From your original data, it looks like your cursor will return multiple rows which implies to me that you want to fetch the first row from the cursor, check if tot_pass = tot_fail, if they are equal, sleep for two minutes then get the next row. This does not make sense to me. Once the select in the cursor is executed, the data it returns will not change due to Oracle's read consistency model, so there seems to me no point in the sleep.
    The other alternative I can see is that you want to check all the returned rows, and if tot_pass = tot_fail for one of the rows (or possibly for all of the rows), then you want to sleep and try again.
    If you can explain in words what it is you are trying to accomplish, someone will be able to point you to a solution.

    }I know this is a lot but when I have tried to put out the portion where I belived the problem to be, didnt work, people couldent help, so here it is all of it.

    it wouldn't run for me, until I changed these lines
    contentPane.add( title1 );
    contentPane.add( title2 );
    contentPane.add( title3 );
    contentPane.add( title4 );
    SpringLayout layout = new SpringLayout();
    contentPane.setLayout(layout);
    to these
    contentPane.getContentPane().add( title1 );
    contentPane.getContentPane().add( title2 );
    contentPane.getContentPane().add( title3 );
    contentPane.getContentPane().add( title4 );
    SpringLayout layout = new SpringLayout();
    contentPane.getContentPane().setLayout(layout);
    then it worked OK, smaller frame on top (the one with the info), larger frame behind.
    both above all other windows
    made it into a .jar file (in case IDE influenced above) and ran the same way

  • Need help with pie chart code

    I am new to Java and am having problems and I am in need of some help. I have written the code for my Mortgage Calculator but do not know how to get my chart to work. I found an example of the chart code in my text book but I am not sure if I wrote it wrong. When I run the MortCalc code it compiles but the Pie Chart code won't. I tried to run the chart code by itself but it prints out another calculator. My question is 1.) Is my chart code written wrong? and 2.) How do i enter it into my MortCalc code so that I get my chart?
    **Below I have included the assignment(so you know what I am doing exactly) and below that the pie chart code just in case you have questions. Thanks for any advice you can give.
    **If you need the rest of the code I can post it too. It was too long to post with the pie chart code.
    Assignment:
    Write the program in Java(w/ a GUI) and have it calculate and display the mortgage payment amount from user input of the amount of the mortgage adn the user's selection from a menu of availible mortgage loans:
    --7 yrs @ 5.35%
    --15 yrs @ 5.5%
    --30 yrs @ 5.75%
    Use an array for the mortgage data for the different loans. Read the interst rates to fill the array from a sequential file. Display the mortgage payment amount followed by the loan balance and interest paid for each payment over the term of the loan. Add graphics in the form of a chart.Allow the user to loop back and enter a new amount and make a new selection of quit. Please insert comments in the program to document the program.
    CODE:
    import java.awt.Color;
    import java.awt.Graphics2D;

  • Need Help Displaying Code128 Bar Code

    I have an ASP classic page were I can render a 3of9 bar code using Javascript where the bar code is rendered as an image.  I need to do the same thing using code128 but can't find a suitable script.  Does anyone have one they are willing to share?  I have Googled this to death!  Thanks in advance for any help!

    From CPAN FAQs:
    Barcode::Code128 generates bar codes using the CODE 128 symbology. It can generate images in PNG or GIF format using the GD package, or it can generate a text string representing the barcode that you can render using some other technology if desired.
    The intended use of this module is to create a web page with a bar code on it, which can then be printed out and faxed or mailed to someone who will scan the bar code. The application which spurred its creation was an expense report tool, where the employee submitting the report would print out the web page and staple the receipts to it, and the Accounts Payable clerk would scan the bar code to indicate that the receipts were received.
    The default settings for this module produce a large image that can safely be FAXed several times and still scanned easily. If this requirement is not important you can generate smaller image using optional parameters, described below.
    If you wish to generate images with this module you must also have the GD module (written by Lincoln Stein, and available from CPAN) installed. Using the libgd library, GD can generate files in PNG (Portable Network Graphics) or GIF (Graphic Interchange Format) formats.
    Starting with version 1.20, and ending with 2.0.28 (released July 21st, 2004), GD and the underlying libgd library could not generate GIF files due to patent issues, but any modern version of libgd (since 2004) can do GIF as the patent has expired. Most browsers have no trouble with PNG files.
    In order to ensure you have a sufficiently modern installation of the GD module to do both GIF and PNG formats, we require version 2.18 of GD (which in turn requires libgd 2.0.28) or higher.
    If the GD module is not present, you can still use the module, but you will not be able to use its functions for generating images. You can use the barcode() method to get a string of "#" and " " (hash and space) characters, and use your own image-generating routine with that as input.
    To use the the GD module, you will need to install it along with this module. You can obtain it from the CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network) repository of your choice under the directory authors/id/LDS. Visit http://www.cpan.org/ for more information about CPAN. The GD home page is: http://stein.cshl.org/WWW/software/GD/GD.html
    I believe that is EXACTLY what you're looking for.
