In oaf How to perform Attribute level Validation ?
How to compare the two attribute values ?
My requirement is , I have Amountfrom and Amountto items in Table region having 10 records.......
here the validation is Amount to should be greater than Amount From, so for this I have to perform validation in EOImpl class..........
For this i have to read AmountFrom value and compare with AmountTo.....
here my issue is, how to read the AmountFrom value....
Its urgent..........

Hi,
You can write this logic in validateEntity() method of EOImpl.
In EOImpl, there should be methods to get those values like getAmountFrom() and getAmountto().

What you need, is a entity-level validator:
7.2.1.2 Entity-Level Validation Rules
All other kinds of validation rules are entity-level validation rules. These are rules whose implementation requires considering two or more entity attributes, or possibly composed children entity rows, in order to determine the success or failure of the rule.
The following examples are entity-level validations:
The value of the OrderShippedDate should be a date that comes after the OrderDate.
The ProductId attribute of an order should represent an existing product.

How to stop attribute level validation when entity validator fails?

Can you suggest any way to achieve the desired behaviour on the following scenario.
Table contains the following columns
1. Grade
2. Grade Rate
3. Status
Constraints:
1. Grade and Grade Rate together must be unique.
2. Grade and Grade Rate are mandatory fields.
Implementation:
1. Have Mandatory validator at attribute level for Grade and Grade Rate by default.
2. Alternate key is defined based on Grade and Grade Rate and added the same as Entity validator.
User operation scenario:
User adds a row in a table, entered 'GradeOne' as Grade, tabbed out and then entered '5 %' as Grade Rate (Existing row of the VO has a row with similar data already). When user try to navigate to other row, both validation at attribute level and entity level fires and gives the following error messages.
Error Msg 1. Grade and GradeRate should be unique.
Error Msg 2. Attribute GradeRate is required.
Expected behaviour:
I can understand the reason why ADF throws both the errors (coz it didn't consider the invalid value of GradeRate posted into attribute), but the error messages confuses the user. It would be great if he get only one error message in this scenario (i.e. Unique validation alone)
Question:
How can I restrict in such a way that only one error validation happens in a request (i.e. either attribute level or entity level or in a particular order}

Query Panel reset is clearing attribute level validations in the results table.

Hi,
I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.
I have a query panel with editable table in a jsf page.
In the EmployeesEO i have an attribute validation for Salary. that is Salary should not be a negative value.
I ran the Jsf page, click on Query panel Search, results are displayed.
I changed the salary to -100 from 50000 and tabout, error message is shown properly at attribute level.
I clicked on Query panel's Reset button, now Salary is showing as 50000 in the results table. But when i click on Commit button to save the changes, then -100 is showing and throwing the validation message.
Can you please let me know if there is any way to not clear the values in the Results Table?

Once you submit the values the reset button can't undo these changes. To reset the changes you either need to call rollback or you have set a save point before the changes and then reset to the save point.
What I don't understand is why the click on the reset does show you the old value.

Need help with simple XML validation

I am new to Spry and need some help creating a simple
validation. There is a form field which must not contain a value
already in the database. I have a script which accepts a parameter
and returns a boolean result. Here is the XML:

1. How do I call this script when the form field changes and
pass the form value as the parameter?
2. How do I check the returned value in the XML and throw an
error if true?

I have few queries about ViewObject. I'm working on JDev11gU2 ADFRC.
Actually i made an application to upload XLS file to af:table. Everything is working but now I stucked with some functionality. Like -
1. After inserting all rows in table have opposite sequence as in XLS file, I mean i want to know that is there any way with method VO.readXML() i can
Insert rows below the previous one. by default it is taking new row as first row in af:table.
2. Second thing is, I need to show at least 100 lines in af:table by default after uploading data of minimum 3000 lines. So like we had paging functionality in JDev 10g, but in 11g we have scroll and fetch functionality, because of this after loading 100 lines in table my application gets very slow. So any solution to put some same paging functionality like 10g.
3. Validate all Row attribute in Viewobject, like I have a button say Validate Data, after clicking it all Data of viewobject should validate and if there are any Invalid data. So that Row column should get highlighted. Validation just like before committing data.These are some critical requirement so is there anyone who can guide me properly.

Line 5 : JobId, DeptId and InstId.
If i do ViewObject Validation then at the time i Uploading process of data from XLS get very slow for large amount of rows like 250<, That's why i was trying to do it after uploading data.
So after upload i got above table. Now i have a save button where I'm committing data, which calls doDML() method for that Employee entity, where
suppose process gets error on Line 1 then whole process stops there and throws JboException, and i got Line no 1 for my Msg to show user, but what about other faulty rows,
For that i catched that exception so after every faulty row process continues, but now the line 4 , which has no error it get committed in DB. I don't want this.
Another solution i got is use postChange(), but here I'm not getting what I'm doing wrong, problem is it post all previous rows too, suppose i have new 5 lines as shown above but in postChange() method post rest of old lines too. It is making me completely crazy,
It is very urgent so could not able to find more time to research on this so you please help me, or if you have some examples related to this then please send me the links.

Need help with folder level javascript to automate "save button" on a fillable form

I have been racking my brain for the past 6 hours trying to get a simple save button to work.
Background: I am using Acrobat Pro 11 to create a save button on a fillable form. My intent is for the end users (my team of 3, whos computers I have access to) to be able to fill out the form, click save, and have the filename appended with date and other info and saved to a local folder on their machine.
I am attempting to take the default form name i.e. Support Call Log.pdf and have three of the feilds within the form generate a new file name. --> Support Call Log_Brad_121_2015
End users will fill out the form using adobe viwer X.
Instead of putting the code that I have tried, modified, and tried again and again. I would like to ask for a fresh start and then see if I can locate my error after. I need to know what to put in my folder level script, line for line.
I also need to know the correct syntax and format to establish a new file name with the extracted feild data, saved to the same exact file path as the original document.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, I am about to go crazy!!!

Need help configuring Attribute Change in WLS 6.1

I did all it said in the documentation, lacking any sight of an SNMP
trap. I want to receive a SNMP trap if the
InvalidLoginAttemptsTotalCount changes (MBean: ServerSecurityRuntime).

I enabled SNMP, configure my TrapHost and started my trapdaemon. But I
don't get any trap even though I increased the counter by doing some
logins with the wrong password. Parallel to my attribute change I also
configured a counter monitor on the same attribute, with the same
disappointing result =:-(
Can anyone help ?

You need to set a target for the pool. Without target
pool service won't start. Also you need to provide
initial and maximum size for the pool.

I have two ratios to calculate.
Ratio One: SUM(Numerator) / Sum(Denominator) = 18075 / 22019 = 82.08%
Ratio Two: sum(Numerator) / Sum(Denominator) when Period 1 = Period 2 = 18622/22019 = 85.57%
How can I implement this in the RPD? I have currently defined two metrics as
To derive Ratio One: I have two metric columns Dn. and Nr. set as aggregate = SUM()
Ratio 1 = Nr./Dr.
To derive Ratio Two: I have a case statement that sees if period 1 = period 2 then Nr. else 0
Ratio 2 = Derived Nr. Dr.
What is happening is since the ratios are getting calculated at the granular data level, since /0 is not considered. I am ending up both the ratios coming up with the same values.
What am I doing wrong here. Version 11.1.1.6.2 is used. Any help in aggregate functions, or how to set the levels etc., is appreciated. Thanks.

First, I made sure the settings on the preamp were right and that phantom
power was selected for the condenser mic. I also made sure the condenser
mic battery was good.
If you have Phantom power you don't need a battery (and vice versa)
I have it set to the external mic and not the internal one.

Need help with attributed string in NSMenuItem

I'm trying to implement a contextual menu for a view in one of my applications. I want it to be dynamic, based on where you click in the view. It works fine if I don't try to mess with the font size of the menu. If I try to make the menu font smaller, the menu will appear blank, and its action won't get triggered, but only if there's only one menu item. If there are two or more, they'll all show up.
I've done a bunch of searching, and found some code examples where they put in a dummy item, then remove it later, but so far, that hasn't helped me, either. I've posted an example project (~44KB) on my web site that illustrates this, if you'd like to see it in action (the example doesn't include the "dummy fix", by the way, but it's easy enough to add).

I'm not unalterably opposed to the regular system menu font if there's no way around this (the menus are pretty short: usually less then a dozen items), but aesthetically it looks nicer with a smaller font.

Need help with recording level!

I am writing a tune on Garage Band. I have recorded several tracks. A few with hardware, a few with soft synths. I find I cannot adjust the recording level with the slider now (soft synth parts only). It seriously needs to be reduced, otherwise it sounds terrible. The slider simply wont move. Something must be wrong. Any ideas?

Not by default. If you need to see the column values in an after-statement trigger, you need to use a row-level trigger to accumulate the values in a package variable. This approach would use a before-statement trigger to clear the variable (a table of records based on the rowtype of the table, usually), the after-row trigger to add a row's column values, and then the after-statement trigger to loop through the PL/SQL table (array, collection, etc.) and do whatever is needed.

Need help on item field validations.

All right, here's the problem >>
I have a form on a report with columns and attributes taken from the tables in the database. 5 tables are allocated in the database, but one table is used for this "form on a report."
I named the report as a Company form, where users can add/edit company's name and details into it. However, without the use of candidate keys, i added validations to control the columns such that no two values are the same, although there is a primary key which i named it as company_id.
For the validations, i created an sql expression type "not exist" and input the following code:
SELECT company_name
from Project_COMPANIES
where company_name = :P8_COMPANY_NAME;
The code did work where no two values are the same within a particular column. However, when changes are made to update and delete, it wasn't successful unless users are forced to change the existing values to a different value. So my question was, what are the methods to set such that all three basic functions (Insert, update, delete) can work at the same time?

Where mytable is the table name, company_name is the column being updated, P1_COMPANY_NAME is the page item corresponding to the company_name column and is the item being validated, P1_COMPANY_ID is the page item containing the primary key of the row being updated corresponding to the company_id column.

Here I am stuck with one requirement . I need to validate the combination of characteristics entered in MM02 transaction.
For this reason I have Implemented method MODIFY_INPUT of BADI CACL_VALUE_CHANGE . But this method captured characteristics one by one, not all at once. but as per my requirement I need all the characteristics at once to verify the combination.
How can I check and validate all the characteristics before the material is saved ?

Check the material master records of the materials M1 and M2 for the conversion ratios maintained between the base UOM and the case. Guess, the 0.3 case of the material M1 might be having units that are equal to one case of material 2.
The standard functionality is not related to the quantities. It is only to substitute the materials.
